I’m 10 months loc’d now (can’t believe time has flown by so fast!) and something I always wanted to know is does the way you start your locs (two strand twists vs comb coils) impact how your locs will look as they mature? People who start with comb coils have locs that look so much more cylindrical imo once they’re fully loc’d so I wanted to get your take on it.
I have 114 locs I told the loc lady I want 110 to get like you ended up with 114 whoop I got coils do to you whoop and I got ur rose water and oil love you 8 weeks locd and my hair has no joke grown 3 inches

Aww that’s exciting! And you can wash them at whatever time you feel best . I would say 4 weeks too especially comb could can come out if your not too careful. It’s totally up to the person though. I washed mine after a month because I was scared they was going to unravel
Heyy I love your locs. How do you keep them so shiny and black? Do you put a rinse over them sometimes or a permanent black dye? I bleached my dreads and I don’t them very much. I’m considering dying them

It depends on your hair texture imo than the method of starting. Locs are cylindrical anyway - but your hair texture will dictate the “smoothness”

Your hair is very black. Did you dye it black after the red color? If yes, what product did you use? The summer sun makes locs a light brown. 16:42
Yes I did and I have a video on it when I dyed it back black a few months ago.
