    Awesome technique, thanks for sharing! I really like your home made sanding flapper tool that was used in this videl. Any chance you made a video on how it's fabricated?

      Hello Richard~
      The sanding mob production process video you requested has been completed.
      I would like you to watch the video below.
      ua-cam.com/video/YWTrktri3KY/v-deo.html

    • @Richard-dh8ny

      Thank you VERY much! The video is very detailed and easy to follow. :) One question and one suggestion.... Can you please tell me the diameter and length of the bolt used for the mob? It seems that the mop will wear out just on the perimeter of the sand paper. I suggest coming up with a way to "trim" the sand paper 5-10mm as the sand paper wears out. This way the mob can continue to be used until the diameter get close to the washer. Just a thought.

    • @enjoyingwoodworking691
      @enjoyingwoodworking691  2 роки тому +3

      @@Richard-dh8ny The bolts used to make the mob are 150cm long and 1cm thick.
      And the big washer diameter is 5cm.
      That's a good suggestion.
      If you use it several times, the mob becomes like a perm head, which makes it more usable.

    Very nice. Fingers too close to the router for my comfort though. I'd look for some kind of holding jig for improved safety on that step.

    many years ago I made knobs using this technique, and had totally forgotten it. For many days looking at youtube vids, only this site uses it. I think it is the fastest method and any shop will need a large number of these whether for hold down clamps or pressure clamps. Thank you for a beautiful video, the music, photography just perfect.

      The thing to remember is that the inside size is 46mm.
      And, the number of used forstner bits is two.
      One is 25mm for the insert nut side, and 15mm for the bit used for the outer hole.
      There is one thing missing from your question.
      The drill bit size used on the insert nut side is 10mm.

    There are faster ways. Look for the video "How To Make Star Knobs With The Knob Jig"

    I'm not sure that people should put their fingers quite so close to the router bit as shown here.

      You are right.

    Very nice knobs but this is not the easiest way to make them. In fact, this may be the hardest way to make them. Using a simple jig is the preferred method.

      Safety is always the best. I admit there is a problem with using my router.
      From now on, I'll use the router in a safe way.

    How did you determine the distance between circles (small) since they were 60 degrees apart?

    • @enjoyingwoodworking691
      @enjoyingwoodworking691  2 роки тому

      You just need to decide on a distance equal to the size of the knob you want. Of course you should be able to cut it out with your hole saw.
      Thank you :)

      I overlooked the safety of using a router when making a video.
      that is my mistake
      A subtitle about safety was put in the video location of the dangerous scene.
