Concerto is a good word. Miyako composed this based on Chopin and Dvorak. A classically trained pianist from a very early age, she has piano concert level ability. The piano on backing track during the song was recorded by her. She does a piano intro for this song, but this video doesn't include it.
Check out the version from the Zepp DiverCity 2020 show, you will see Miyako playing a Chopin intro on piano, Chopin's Revolutionary Etude.

Swan Song is mainly famous for its Chopin intro. There is one official version that has that intro. This is not the one. 95% of all reactors take the correct one. You missed. 🙃
OK - this is also good. Nice to listen to and nice to see. But still, I recommend you to look at the epic one. Even if you do no reaction. You will like it.

Miyako may look like she finds it easy but if you listen to commentary and the behind the scenes videos she is actually concentrating as she doesn't want to make any mistakes.

Good as this recording is, the one from 2020 at Zep Diver City Tokyo is possibly a better choice. It has a piano introduction, Chopin Etude Op10 No12, played by Miyako. It also in my opinion has a better sound mix, especially for the piano 'outro' at the end of the song. In this version the piano part is rather 'lost' in the mix until the rest of the band cease playing. The bass player on the earlier version is founder member Miho who left the band in 2021 and is replaced on the later recording by 'new girl' Fami. Great song though whichever version you go with. Thank you for supporting Lovebites 🐺

This is the preferred version by most of the Wolfpack:
      Swan Song (w/ Chopin Intro)
      ua-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/v-deo.html
This is due to the inclusion of the Chopin intro and also the piano balance at the end. But if you watch this version you'll understand why people really emphasize this one.
      Still enjoyed your reaction!

Some knowledge of history is required to understand the meaning of the lyrics of this song.
In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, in what was known as the 'November Revolution', but failed due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's representatives presented the Etude OP 10, No. 12 in Paris. Franz Liszt, a friend of Chopin, then named it the 'Revolutionary Etude'.
Miyako composed Swan Song based on this 'Revolutionary Etude' and Dvorak's 'New World Symphony'.
Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite "Swan Lake", based on the historical background of the "Revolutionary Etude".
"SwanSong" is a requiem for the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland, a masterpiece that only Love Bites could complete.

The only issue I have with this recording is the piano is too low (imo) in the mix at the end before the band acquiesced to Miyako. The 2020 version is much clearer. Thanks for the reaction. Cheers!
