Thanks for the video. Bought a 2021 Ram Limited 9,000 miles ago. GMC Denali before and two Tundras before that. The Ram is great, worried about all the electronics. You’ve eased my mind and I appreciate you taking time to share your experiences.
For some reason I’ve seen many videos of the 20-22 rams having issues, usually I don’t buy the first gen of anything but wait a couple years till they work out the bugs but my 2019 ram limited has been flawless so far I’m at 76k and just replaced the battery for an AGM

It will be much nicer than your other trucks by far, but man what an adjustment you are going to have to make coming from Toyota in the category of durability reliability and dependability as well as quality control. Over time as you live with it, all the gremlins that Fiat Chrysler/ Stellantis are notoriously known for will show their ugly face on a consistent basis. By far the best looking most comfortable and luxurious truck on the market, but for my money, not worth the constant headaches you will face in the future. I bought a 2022 Tundra TRD PRO 4X4 and absolutely love everything about it! I have 8500 miles on it and zero issues with the turbo contrary to what some have dealt with. Good luck and post updates on your experience along the way. Cheers!
I was always a Ford man, never even thought about trying something else until 2019 when I went to Texas to visit my son and his family. The auto rental upgraded me from a compact car to a full size or a truck for the same price so I opted for the 2019 Ram 1500. It was an awesome truck and I absolutely loved everything about it. It had every imaginable option including saddle leather seats. I wanted one bad after that. Last year I bought a 2021 and so far I have loved everything about it. I think it may be my favorite truck I've owned yet ( and I have owned many )
yea was a chevy guy but have to say my 2019 ram is the best truck i have owned the ride, tight turning , power from the hemi, i love the only complain is the fuel but with 35" mud grips well it is expected
I’ve always had gm trucks. I test drove a ram in 2019 and bought it because it was way cheaper than other brands. I have 85 k on the truck now and absolutely love it
I've got a 2020 ram 1500 lone star with the 5.7 hemi only issue I've had with it is the paint but that comes with the territory of owning a truck. Ram is the best looking truck on the road and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one
@@ericmings yeah, mine has its fair share of scratches. But that’s what I get for driving through trees/bushes and going through automatic car washes. Lol
We are picking up a used Black 2019 Ram Limited, basically your trucks twin complete with Ram box's. Coincidentally, my 1st truck was a 1983 GMC S15, silver over a blue bottom stripe with a V6 and 5 speed manual. I added a set of wheels off a 1989 Camero and had the black inserted painted blue to match the bottom stripe on the truck. I put over 150,000 miles on it. It was a great truck
You will love it, do yourself a favor swap that oil at every 6-7k or if heavy towing every 5k. Amsoil and or Pennzoil Ultra Synthetic. Hemi engines love it
I haven't heard the pano roof causing the window issue. Most trucks, as well as mine, don't have any sunroof at all, and my window, brake light, and antenna have all been replaced because of water intrusion. I also agree with you, after 42k miles, I still get excited just getting in it. (2020 Ram 1500 Bighorn 4x4 North)
Great video as always. You helped me on making the decision to buy a 2022 Big Horn back in February. Love everything about it. I Have 7,000 miles on it and MPG is 23.3 yes it has the 5.7 in it. I have to admit 85% of the miles are freeway miles and I don’t get on it but still I’m very impressed with the truck.
Great video Justin. I’m shopping for those now and can confirm they are making the sunroof. It’s a standalone option. Most inventory trucks are either “stripper” Limiteds with base equipment (usually plus 22” wheel) or loaded into mid to high $70s. I love the 10th anniversary package with “sea salt” white and blue interior but most will have the black interior.
I realize this is 3 months old. I watched as I am seriously considering a Ram 1500 Laramie and was looking for any info I could on them. Thanks for sharing your views.
I’m on my 3rd Ram 1500 now and my son has my old one. I have had The Chevy and Ford at work, and owned Toyota and Nissan. All great trucks, but I love The Ram… I’m with ya 100%… Just bought the 2021, and love it!!! Great truck!!!
Had a 4th gen for 4 years. only issue was fuel pump, brakes -rotors oil and gas..... traded it for a gen 2 ford raptor.. they had to to do cam phasers twice in 12 months. vct selenoids, truck rattled really bad. had to zip tie parts in the engine compartment, my door rattled, trans shifted hard even after tuning the engine and trans, turbos rattled, traded it for a 21 limited night edition. very happy I did.
Mr. Wheeler, good to see you again sir. I kinda figured you would buy another Ram. Love my Longhorn and would buy another Longhorn if I hade to. I’d try the Ram boxes if they put them on a 6’-4” bed, but they don’t and I enjoy having the longer bed when I have to haul 12’ lumber for projects around the house or for friends. But as said before, it would have to be a Longhorn. You can’t get that cattle tan and black interior in any other Ram but the Longhorn. Take care my friend.
If the Longhorn had been available the day I picked this one up, I might have gone that route. I love the interior. Hauling long lumber is a bit of a trick with the short bed, but it can be done if you're careful. I saw a guy leave Home Depot this past weekend in a little Isuzu I-370, he was hauling 12' lumber sticking straight up out of his sliding rear window. It was something else. Lol. Take care, Jim!
Mine is finally sorted out from all the warranty crap (covid built special). I like you, bought mine because it was the compromise of all my favorite components in one package. The air suspension is still something I love about it. I test drove a new Toyota with just the rear air. It would serve the purpose for towing/hauling, but I'd miss off road lifting options. P. S. Chevy/gm now has a 14in screen in theirs with the new update.
I have been 100% satisfied with the air ride. Makes hooking up to the trailers way more convenient. Not necessarily faster, or required, but it’s nice to have. I figured GM would have to join the game sooner or later. I’m looking forward to seeing them in person.
@@MrJustinWheeler imagine the next Ram.... gm and the rest came 3 years late... i see Ram doing some crazy Grand Wagoneer type setup. Would be very plush and tech for all. Id get an upgrade forsure
I had a 2014 Ram 1500 Limited eco diesel that I fully intended to keep running till I took the dirt nap. It had air suspension that was quirky but I loved, and I put 60,000 highway miles on it in 3 years. The interior was beautiful and the seats that even my wife loved were so comfortable. Sadly a tractor trailer hauling gravel ran a red light doing 60 mph T boned me spinning the truck 360 degrees and destroying it completely. Had a Tacoma until I could decide what I would do, the ecodiesel is discontinued, and I finally settled on a 2023 Tundra Platinum. So, I made this decision based on cost of a replacement Ram Limited as well as reliability. The Tundra is state of the art and Lexus quality, and you just don’t have the North American problems.
I just bought a 2019 Bighorn 1500 on Friday. Had 34,562 miles and I couldn't be happier!! HUGE step up from my 2014 Patriot, which served admirably and drove through many a corn field in pursuit of ducks and geese. This is my fourth MOPAR product, it definitely will not be my last. You can't beat the bang for your buck that you get with Ram. I had a discussion about buying a 2019 F-150 from a friend and the deal fell through when he couldnt get a new Tundra...I'm so glad it did. I love this Ram!!
I’m in love with my 2020 ram 1500 4x4 bighorn with equipment group 2, ramboxes, and 3.92 gears. I got it for $50k and dealers are offering me $50k for it now 2 years later lol. Makes me wish I got a Laramie now but as I go off-road with it a lot I’m glad it’s a lower trim model. Still looks amazing black on black. Certainly a head turner. Plus the 5.7L hemi sounds and performs awesome. So happy I got a gas instead of diesel too now with the cost of fuel.
You drive alot of Highway and with the Limited trim, I'd look hard at the "Borla Touring" exhaust for it. Not too loud,no drone and a very pleasing exhaust note
I have the identical Ram Limited but White with the Night Edition & I have the 5.7 Hemi E-Torque gizmo for 540 foot pounds of torque which is a game changer. My 2021 I have had exactly one year now has 5800 miles on it & I had the first month a Flowmaster Super-10 swapped out for the huge trash can factory muffler, left the rear resonators on & it sounds vastly better like my 2008 Ram. Mine was exactly 70K but with Ram incentives & a 815 credit score got it out the door for exactly 60K, now they are close to 80K for the identical truck. I absolutely love it! I had a S-15 1987 GMC Jimmy I loved, very reliable with the Vortex V-6, I also bought a new 1995 Black S-10 which was equally kool, I wish you the very best of luck with your new S-15 project Justin!
Thanks Vinnie! What are the odds? We have similar trucks now, and we had very similar trucks back in the day. I guess we just have good taste! Haha. Thanks for watching.
Rear window leak issue. Suggest that you check your headliner for signs of water lines. Maybe have the rear window checked even if you don't see signes. Just got my truck (without the sunroof) out of the shop for a leaked caused RF Hub failure. It would not recognize the key fob so nothing worked. Had to be dragged onto a flatbed because there was not a way to release the parking brake. If I had been parked in a spot where a tow truck couldn't get to it, it could still be sitting there. They replaced the entire rear window in the repair.
I have enjoyed your videos on the truck. I have a 21 Laramie, bought new and it had a couple of things that needed to be addressed and I was told would be addressed. When I took it in to be fixed a regional rep denied the claim and said they recognize the issue but it is good enough. For that reason I would not buy another RAM because the compony does not stand behind their products.
@@186bingo I'll say candidly i have a 19 limited with etorque. Great truck and runs fine. Had an 09 5.7 hemi with 120k in the past no issues. I racked up 120k in that other one in 2.75 yrs or so. Loved it. Sold it got back in a 19 limited. No worries on my part but every brand has lemons or random issues
I traded my 4th gen limited for the 5th gen limited, too. Never regretted!!!!!!! Loving both of them! Gonna go for 6th gen no doubt! My panoramic sun roof does leak i think cuz i can see little rusty fluid was on the side of the sunroof. Hope not getting worse later!
I bought a 2019 Silverado and then traded it in for a 2020 Ram Built to Serve Edition in Patriot Blue. 17K miles later and I still love the truck. It’s comfortable, Hemi is strong and sounds great and since it’s the Built to Serve it is about as loaded up a Big Horn as you can get. I have also experienced fewer issues with my Ram than the Silverado. I still like the GM trucks but Ram has made a believer out of me.
Thanks for the insight. I have a 2021 Ram 1500 Longhorn. Absolutely love the truck. I’ve had 3 GMC Sierra 1500’s, 2 Tundras, and 1 F-150. This truck is leaps and bounds over in terms of interior sound, quality, and comfort. Power, while not the most powerful on the market, is plenty for the day to day needs. One thing I’d like to know is after 150,000 miles do you have a comprehensive list of any and all maintenance fixes/recalls/replacements you’ve had to deal with? Thanks Justin!
I've been an F-150 fanboy for nearly 30 years. It was a Ford truck of nothing. When I started looking for a new truck in this crazy market I decided to look at the Ram. At this point if I ordered an F-150 there's a chance it would 6-8 months before it would be built. So, we decided to give the Ram a look-see. After watching Justin's videos, and taking a test drive in a Laramie we were sold. It blew my '13 F-150 Platinum out of the water. Ordered it 06/13/22, and it went into production 06/22/22, something Ford could never do. So, as of now I am a recovering Fordaholic, and can't wait until my new Ram is home. BTW Justin, at over a 150K on yours with the amount of use your truck gets mine should last for like a zillion miles. It won't ever see the amount of work your Limited has. Thanks for all of the help with my decision. One more thing, the prices have gone up a crap load since you bought yours. :)
I don't have the sunroof and still ended up with the plastic crack in the rear window. I heard it had something to do with the design of the rear window. When it was replaced under warranty I noticed the design of the rear window casing is a bit different. I also noticed that part of power sliding window system is in a different spot.
I'm a Ford guy and traded in my 2016 F250 for a 2019 Ram because I got tired of bouncing down the road and this thing drives like a freaking sports car. Not to mention it looks pretty sweet. For what these new trucks cost you shouldn't have to replace exhaust manifolds, change the air intake and exhaust system to correct the problem because the manufacturer is to cheap to correct it themselves. Also, the Hemi has a lubrication problem at slow idle so I use Lucas upper cylinder lube to hopefully make this thing last. 90K on the brakes and shocks is impressive but they're getting upgraded this week. Steering wheel leather fell apart at 20K and my 12" touchscreen seems to be possessed at times. Tailgate falls open randomly and the dealer can't figure it out. I usually dump my truck by now because I drive a lot. However, I flat out refuse to pay the money they want for these new trucks. I'm gonna take my 85K buy a 1978 Bronco and build that sucker to the nines!
2019 5.7 used rental I bought for 21k with 25k miles. 35k on it now with no issues. Oil was black when I got it but after changing every 3k miles it stays clear. Only thing i did not like was when passing at 70 mph after I floored it got no down gear and engine bogged down. Only way i got around was letting up on gas and let it gradually pass.
Love these videos dude... and LOVE my 19 Limited. Just hit 78k so its great to see a good track record for high mileage. I also had a 17 Laramie as well so I was super stoked to get a real world comparison from you as you had the same.
I have a 2019 Laramie Longhorn which I bought new on May 12, 2018 with every option except the sunroof and the trailer brake. I agree whole heartedly that the sound system is a massive disappointment for the cost of the truck. Especially when using CarPlay or USB inputs, it's infuriating how low the volume is restricted to. I also have never used the auto parking with the exception of trying it once and hating it. I guess it would be a good parlor trick but not much use otherwise. I have 70,000 miles on mine and I still love it although I was a little upset over not being able to get the sunroof at the time. Thanks for the update on the leaks and other issues with it, now I don't feel so bad. The adaptive cruise is the best, although I use the lane departure assist with it and it's almost like having auto pilot.
My rear window cracked a year ago, same thing as yours with the crack in the trim. I don't have a sunroof, so it's not related to that. GM's also have cracks in the same spot, apparently (some one claimed on a forum) that both Ram and GM use the same supplier/vendor for the rear window.
Great video truck is holding up great can’t believe the markups on these trucks in todays world when you buy another truck have you ever thought of buying a fully loaded ram rebel?
Ordering a 23 limited, stuck on color choice with night addition..... granite or white. Hmmm. Never had struck, first one. Sold on ram boxes though, thanks
Manifold cracked. If you have ticking noise, go to dealer and get it fixed under warranty. They will lie and say it’s normal. Brakes squeak all the time. Ac will also start blowing air that is not cold.
I loved my Chrysler 300C with it's problems like you love that truck. I'm about to buy a 2021 or 22 Limited with a few thousand miles. It's the 5.7 Hemi.
so i did some off roading in my '20 limited (36,000 miles) and while it was not "light" off roading it was nothing to crazy or "extreme" offroading but i did drive over a dirt road with ruts and bumps around 40mph along with trail rididng. 2-3 days after my front shocks (item that goes inside air ride sleeve) made weird noises almost like popping while driving over bumps on the road particularly at low speed along with the ride being noticeably worse. ive been on the forums and the rear shock are easy bolt on bolt off and non air ride shocks work as they are not in the sleeve however the front ones go through the sleeve and have seen on the forums people putting in bilstein 5100 struts through the front air sleeve but not to many people have done this and on the forum the guy said it was not a perfect fit and i think something on the new strut had to be shaved to fit. was wondering if anyone has any info on this or if anyone knows if a dealershiip can replace the front shock/strut I DO NOT NEED A NEW AIRBAG, those are very expensive i beleive it is just my shock/strut that goes through the airbag and its annoying that it seems to be such a hard replacment/upgrade just because it goes though the sleeve. worst case could i remove the front air ride and replace with conventional spring and strut and keep the rear air ride for towing? any ideas or suggestions to fix front shocks/strut without replacing the whole airbag
Hey Julius. I wish I had the answer to your question, but I have not had to navigate those waters yet. To date, my suspension has held up really well (and down some really, really, rough roads). I'm expecting that sooner or later I will need to do maintenance on the front end. When that time comes, I will keep everyone posted. And with as many miles as I drive, it may not take long. Lol. Thanks for watching!
I’ve been looking at buying a 1500 for a couple years now but was totally put off by the ridiculous mark ups by all of the Dodge dealerships last year, excited to see that throughout California they now having to sell below sticker on all the ram 1500’s…. The longer you wait the cheaper they’ll get imho
really liked the ram but as many miles as I drive the f150 gets better MPG and feels more nimble so I went with the f150 3.5turbo 4x4 in 2019. only truck I've been tempted by is the new tundra but seems people are having a lot of issues. I agree on the extended range fuel tank when towing
I just bought a RAM 1500 limited night edition last week. Price was 79K. Rebate 12K. I love this freaking truck. My wife said don't buy anymore SUV because I always trade it in and go back to a truck. I bought a brand new 2022 Hinda Passport Trailsport last October and traded my 2019 Ram for it. I only drove the Honda for 10K and went back to a truck. My wife was pissed. But hey, you only live once. 😅
Have you had any issues with the lifters? How well do keep up with maintenance & do you do it yourself? My 2020 laramie has a cab leak at the back glass, top corner, driverside & the black plastic above the back glass is cracked in the typical spots. No sunroof. Still got to get that warrantied. I've had the radio replaced & the A/C blower motor resistor replaced. Still need to warranty the front passenger seat cover for stitching issues. I hate to be biased, but even with the issues I've experienced I'd still buy mine again so far. The pros out weigh the cons that much for me.
You don't need a sun roof to have a third brake light leak. I have owned my 2016 Silverado Ltz Z71 ext cab since new. And it has 72k on the clock and been leaking from that dang third brake light for years. With no sun roof option even available for the ext cab. Lol I still really like my truck even with it's problems. But if I was to replace it even with today's gas prices. I would go for the 2019 and newer 2500 Ram Power Wagon in the same dark red color that my Silverado has now.
As always, great honest video both pros and cons! Just wondering if you would have preferred the 3:92 rear ratio? I have the 2020 with the 5.7 and 3:92s and think it's good for towing. Gas mileage is decent imho.
392 is great worth it for the 95 bucks for the option. i have falken wildpeak at3w standard load in 275/60/r20 with a bed cover and i average around 18-20.5 mpg driving from salt lake to san diego depending on if i am going up or down (elevation gain/loss)
Thank you sir! The 3.92 gears probably would compliment my driving style better, but I'd be happy with either setup. I appreciate you always watching and the positive feedback!
What do you have that I don't: - Ramboxes. To me it's not a huge deal but I would like to have my straps and hitch back there instead of under there back seat. - center console. Wireless charging would be nice but I like my jump seat. - surround cameras. I want these SO bad, but I have the towing mirrors instead which I actually don't like. Worst passenger side mirror EVER.
Hi Justin. Love your video's I have a 2021 Ram Limited Night Edition We love it. Quick question I want to install a S&B cold air intake I'm a little paranoid about disconnecting the battery if it"ll mess anything up ? Any thoughts PS. I know S&B tell's you to take off the neg. post before install but in a lot of videos I don't think most people are doing that. Any thoughts ? Thanks Bob
just bought a 2022 power wagon and love it as much as you do yours I also own a gmc and a kia. Have no brand loyalty .That being said went and got rid of my z71 last year and started to look for a "truck" so went to trail boss or the like and was told ok discounts ...but the discounts were no heated seats steering etc etc .because no chips but you can order one so I ran to ford raptor and the like Dealers all bending people over.So off to ram i go having owned a dakota 4x as a play truck back in the day it served me well Researched the crap out of the power wagon as compared to the trx and for my own reasons bought one And yes poor mpg but if you play you pay to buy another of the same 4k extra from the time i ordered it till now.So if you dont "need" a truck please dont buy one.But if you want and need look at Ram tyvm for the vids Please stay safe and healthy
Great video. What are your thoughts on the lower payload? It seems you tend to go over it, which is what I plan on doing, but there are plenty of dogmatic Ram fans that will scream at you for that.
I bought my 2019 sierra denali at the bob moore dealer. Have you done a video on the rear space and rear seat. I’ve heard it reclines but never seen a video on it, how have the heated and cooled seats worked especially the rear, are the seats comfortable. Would u consider getting a 2500, if so would u get the hemi or the Cummings? I really love the mega cabs.
Congratulation, and, thanks for your description. I'm writing from Brazil. I have a Toyota Hilux, double cab, 2021, diesel. Now, RAM starts to offer RAM 1500 4th. gen. ("RAM 1500 Classic"), to complete the line here (we have 1500 and 2500). This one is made in Mexico, so it reach Brazil with the cost a little bit higher than a top model Hilux (and, Hilux is a diesel one). It's important for me to hear from RAM toughness and durability, to compare with my Toyota, and, one day, maybe, buy one RAM.
Always good to hear from an international viewer! Thanks for watching. The 4th gen Ram is definitely a good truck platform, hope you get one! We have a 4th gen / 5th gen comparison video coming up soon on the channel, look for that to go live on Truck Central soon 👍
Hey Justin Can you tell me I am about to pull the trigger on 2019 limited with the 3.21 I was under the impression yours was the upgrade axel when you had the tow video you mentioned the weight was over 9000lbs
i just bought a used 2019 Laramie 1500 2 weeks ago. I used to be very biased against RAM. Never owned one but only heard of nightmares growing up. I took this truck for a test drive and fell in love with it. I have owned many Fords, Toyota, Nissan and Chevy's and this truck blows them all out of the water. i just wished i had the 3.92 gears to tow my camper. I am just over the threshold for towing capacity on my ca,per. Otherwise, I LOVE MY RAM 1500!
Ther early 5th gens were built slower because the line wasn't up to speed yet. I've been lucky my 17, 19, and 21 have all been good Rams but can't say the same thing for everybody. It's literally hit or miss wether u get a good one or a bad one. More good than bad trucks though. Can't say how I know this for fact lol
I had a new 2016 eco diesel but the emission system failed me 3 times in 2 years, sold it and swear would never touch a ram. currently have F550 and F150 and they are still going strong. My old family SUV is dead so need another luxury truck for family use. The f150 ordering is insane, waited for more than 6 months haven't got a VIN number, cancelled the order and tested drove the RAM 1500 hemi, right, I still refuse to touch that eco diesel even I know the emission system is redesigned. The RAM truck drives great, rides smoothly, the hemi engine pulls hard and sounds great. 2 issues I am a bit concerned with are the 12' screen blackout/frozen (I think there is a recall so I guess RAM will fix it) and the lifter problem. The dealer is trying to find me a truck that I want, and highly possible he will find one for me tomorrow. so if anyone can let me know if the lifter problem is a legit concern would be much appreciated
I enjoyed this video. I have a 2020 Tundra and yes, I would consider going to a Dodge Ram. They definitely appeal to me. I'd want a Limited or a Laramie edition or I would not be interested.
I don't think there is an exhaust you can put on a VVT that will sound good. Honestly I'm satisfied with the quiet stock exhaust.... 'cause it's quiet. ...don't forget that the V8's are all going bye, bye soon.
In the future just for instance a couple years down the road if you do get a new ram and have the option would you go with the new inline turbo 6 cylinder or would you opt for V8
Any one have problems with their 2019-2022 ram 1500 5.7 without etorque. I have small vibration when i go in reverse slowly as backing up slowly and in vibration. Maybe i hold the brake ?
If you were on a budget but wanted all the extras of a 2019-2020 Laramie and/or Limited 1500, what mileage would be your cap off point? I put on about 16k a year and have been seeing mostly 50-65k mileage RAMS within my price range. Obviously more factors involved than just mileage, but just curious on your thoughts
I bought a 2021 1500 5.7 Hemi ETorque 2WD Laramie loaded and am getting 21 MPG highway and 18-19 city. I love this truck and it will probably be my last truck. I will be 69 next month and don't see why this truck should not last me for 20 years or more.
I am thinking about theRam 1500 Tradesman V6 4x4.? With NO carpet.. I'm fixing to retire. I just want durability and economy. Something to go to the beach in. South Padre Island National Seashore Texas America.

I’ve always had gm trucks. I test drove a ram in 2019 and bought it because it was way cheaper than other brands. I have 85 k on the truck now and absolutely love it
Thats what I like to see! you're putting some miles on that truck!
I've got a 2020 ram 1500 lone star with the 5.7 hemi only issue I've had with it is the paint but that comes with the territory of owning a truck. Ram is the best looking truck on the road and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one
What issues have you had with the paint?
@@MrJustinWheeler just scratched paint nothing that I can't live with
@@ericmings yeah, mine has its fair share of scratches. But that’s what I get for driving through trees/bushes and going through automatic car washes. Lol
@@ericmings try getting a ceramic coating. Just got mine paint corrected then coated. Looks brand new
We are picking up a used Black 2019 Ram Limited, basically your trucks twin complete with Ram box's.
Hemi engines love it
Thats awesome. We have the same truck now, and nearly identical first trucks. You've got good taste my man! Thanks for watching! (:
That 10th anniversary interior is super nice.
All great trucks, but I love The Ram…
I’m with ya 100%… Just bought the 2021, and love it!!!
I LOVE Raptors, but after testing driving one I still went with the Ram. No regrets. Thanks for watching!
I am 10 months and 9k miles of ownership in my 21 Laramie 1500 and I have loved every second of ownership
I Love my 2019 Longhorn. It has been a fantastic truck.
So happy I got a gas instead of diesel too now with the cost of fuel.
knowing what Ram has achieved in the last 5 years and what the rest has, id say I'm not going nowhere anytime soon...Cheers Justin👍👌
Thanks buddy! I’m just wondering which color you’re getting next!! (:
@@MrJustinWheeler hard too beat maximum steel ..lol
You drive alot of Highway and with the Limited trim, I'd look hard at the "Borla Touring" exhaust for it. Not too loud,no drone and a very pleasing exhaust note
I like the suggestion. Reasonably quiet on the highway is a must. Thank you!
Don't worry the economy is about to take a you know what! These prices will go down regardless of "chip shortages"....
Woe! Can you elaborate more? I’m a couple weeks away from pulling the trigger on a new limited.
Damn, I hate to hear that. But I understand. Not getting support on the service side would be a deal breaker for me as well.
Happy to hear it Jason. Thanks for watching!
Good to know. Thanks Ryan!
Just bought a used one, and I absolutely love it! It is my dream truck with a couple of exceptions. It doesn't have a 33 gal tank or the Ram boxes.
Love the panoramic sunroof in my Ram…best truck I’ve ever owned.
Had 2019 one, had to sell it, but loved every second of it. Hopefully I'll get it again some day🙏.
Dang that sucks. You will definitely get one again
I also had a 17 Laramie as well so I was super stoked to get a real world comparison from you as you had the same.
being a chevy guy for so long I would definitely consider a ram
Hi buddy i have a 2021 1500 etorque v8 .bighorn lone star midnight edition and I love it. I see all your videos very amazing
Thank you! I appreciate it. Thanks for watching!
My rear window cracked a year ago, same thing as yours with the crack in the trim. I don't have a sunroof, so it's not related to that. GM's also have cracks in the same spot, apparently (some one claimed on a forum) that both Ram and GM use the same supplier/vendor for the rear window.
Good to know! I was convinced it had something to do with the sunroof. Thanks John!
Great video truck is holding up great can’t believe the markups on these trucks in todays world when you buy another truck have you ever thought of buying a fully loaded ram rebel?
Thanks Haden. I actually really like the Rebels. I've never gotten a chance to drive a fully loaded Rebel, but I think I would enjoy it.
I was a first guy. But after watching your reviews I actually bought a new rebel. I love it. Great truck 🛻
I've had no issues with the lifters so far, and havent done any maintenance outside of oil changes every 10k miles. Thanks for watching!
I love my 2017 and have been considering a fully loaded 2022 limited
The jump from 4th gen to 5th gen is fun. If you love your 2017, I know you'll enjoy the 2022.
😂 Just actually saw your first video the other day. That beard progress! I didn't recognize you!
Haha! Yeah that was back when the truck and I were still young!
@@MrJustinWheeler same. My pics with my 2019 (have a 21 now) are baby faced. I'm not quite on your beard level yet but headed back to it.
You don't need a sun roof to have a third brake light leak. I have owned my 2016 Silverado Ltz Z71 ext cab since new. And it has 72k on the clock and been leaking from that dang third brake light for years. With no sun roof option even available for the ext cab. Lol
I still really like my truck even with it's problems. But if I was to replace it even with today's gas prices. I would go for the 2019 and newer 2500 Ram Power Wagon in the same dark red color that my Silverado has now.
I have the 4x4 Sport edition and has almost everything your limited has.....so yeah I can't hide my feelings either:) Great video btw!
Thx for the video I bought a 2021 Limited and I just love it
As always, great honest video both pros and cons!
Love your videos and honest reviews of this vehicle hope too see you in many more
What do you have that I don't:
- Ramboxes.
Any thoughts
PS. I know S&B tell's you to take off the neg. post before install but in a lot of videos I don't think most people are doing that. Any thoughts ? Thanks Bob

Have you ever wished you had the 3.92 gears?
just bought a 2022 power wagon and love it as much as you do yours I also own a gmc and a kia.
Agree about all the points you made. Strange times in the truck buying world for sure. Congrats and good choice on the Power Wagon!
Great video. What are your thoughts on the lower payload? It seems you tend to go over it, which is what I plan on doing, but there are plenty of dogmatic Ram fans that will scream at you for that.
Can’t comment on what you should do… but you see how this truck has held up. It can handle a lot.
@@TruckCentral Indeed it can. What’s the most you’ve pulled and for how long?
Hey Justin
Can you tell me I am about to pull the trigger on 2019 limited with the 3.21
I was under the impression yours was the upgrade axel when you had the tow video you mentioned the weight was over 9000lbs
i just bought a used 2019 Laramie 1500 2 weeks ago.
I love the 2019 rims.i would like to know if I should go with a 2019 used or a 2022 did they fix/make anything better in that time span
Can you get more travel out of an after market air suspension?
I can relate to that. I love Ram trucks, but if I couldn’t have a Limited or Laramie, I’d go with a different manufacturer.
Check out the longhorns, beautiful interior
I don't think there is an exhaust you can put on a VVT that will sound good. Honestly I'm satisfied with the quiet stock exhaust.... 'cause it's quiet.
...don't forget that the V8's are all going bye, bye soon.
In the future just for instance a couple years down the road if you do get a new ram and have the option would you go with the new inline turbo 6 cylinder or would you opt for V8
I'm definitely intrigued by the new I6 Hurricane motor. Since I already have the hemi, I may be willing to give the new motor a try. (:
Porque no los dos?
What grade fuel do you run? Also have you had any problems with the MDS(cylinder deactivation), do you turn it off when you drive it?
I had an 06 ram and a 2021Ram Limited etorque 5.7 Hemi don't even know its there what problems are you having with the MDS?
Any one have problems with their 2019-2022 ram 1500 5.7 without etorque.
I have small vibration when i go in reverse slowly as backing up slowly and in vibration.
Maybe i hold the brake ?
If you were on a budget but wanted all the extras of a 2019-2020 Laramie and/or Limited 1500, what mileage would be your cap off point?
I put on about 16k a year and have been seeing mostly 50-65k mileage RAMS within my price range. Obviously more factors involved than just mileage, but just curious on your thoughts
Theres a laramie by me with 96k mileage and dealer wants 34k for it.. ive been thinking about it but idk
How long does it take to totally recharge it?
I bought a 2021 1500 5.7 Hemi ETorque 2WD Laramie loaded and am getting 21 MPG highway and 18-19 city. I love this truck and it will probably be my last truck. I will be 69 next month and don't see why this truck should not last me for 20 years or more.
Mine has no sunroof and back window cracked
I am thinking about theRam 1500 Tradesman V6 4x4.? With NO carpet.. I'm fixing to retire. I just want durability and economy. Something to go to the beach in. South Padre Island National Seashore Texas America.
Nothing wrong with that spec at all. It’ll probably serve you well and hold its value. I’d go for it!
I have a 19 RAM NOTHING MAJOR, BATTERY PLUGS, BRAKES, SERPINTINE BELT IN 167,000 MI
Anyone know anything about the 2018 ram 1500 Laramie with a lil over 60000 miles
Sitting in a 2012 Ram 1500 5.7 and all it's issues I have concern buying another Dodge. Night and day, I know, but Dodge is Dodge. Change my mind!
*"test-driven"
I sure wouldn’t, back to Toyota
You solde on the ram
No Dodge Chrysler Ram what ever you won't call them for me
"Id buy that 12 inch again" spoken like a true dodge guy
good man, and good taste. ram is the only truck i'll stick with for awhile. ford sucks, chevy sucks, gmc sucks, its like the only option to me.
