Yes I LOVE my blue Osprey Farpoint 40 it was worth every penny ❤ I've traveled with it several times without a hitch, that includes all toiletries and electronics and plus size clothing. No matter how long I go I tend to pack 1 weeks worth of clothes and just plan for a laundromat at some point, makes all the difference, I've done it with this pack for up to a month without issue.
This is a different thematic than other videos lately. I'd like to see more videos about gear and packing tips. I liked it. An also, those transitions 🔥🔥
Late to the party here but a solid suggestion for your ‘cons’…invest in a laptop sleeve and an Osprey Hydration Bladder/magnets (they go in the running & hiking packs). Put your laptop inside the sleeve in the space between the pack and the shoulder harness; def not safe for checking your bag but fine to haul yourself and pop out @ the AP. Put the hydration sleeve into what you are now using as the laptop slot & add a magnet to the sternum strap for the mouthpiece then ditch the water bottle (Osprey day & adventure packs can hold the hydration bladder also - so worth considering that upgrade). This will change your life. You are welcome!!!
Laptop sleeve yes, but laptop only. Some of the accessories you added to the laptop sleeve i would not add in. I would bag separate and store separately. Laptop on outside, to much pressure. Id worry the additional stuff could damage the laptop. A really great personal review!
There is also some logic to having the main compartment against your back. If it's filled with clothing or other soft goods (as he's using it here) it will be more comfortable against your back as it's malleable vs. rigid. That plus your spot on answer must have been considered in the design.
@@MCBoyerII Yeah I think this is the main reason. Backs are curved, laptops aren't. They're thinking people are gonna be stuffing this bag, which would put a lot of bend force on the laptop. Its a trade off right.
Thank you! With the toiletries I find it's best to buy them when I arrive (there's enough space to pack them and it can often be cheaper), and with one spare shirt I've found that's what's worked for me - whenever I've packed more I basically never wear the others 😅 And they're easy to clean!
With regards to weather proofing, I have walked this bag through the pouring rain without major issues. I have a slightly older model that came with a rain cover, but I've rarely had to actually use it since the base material is water resistant.
if the airline allows its, generally you can bring a carry on with a personal bag. (22 centimeters x 25 centimeters x 43 centimeters). this is for the second bag. so the answer is probably, there is lots of info on the internet.
Thank you for wonderful video! It is really interesting and motivating! Cannot wait when all of us start travel again! Thank you for helping to promote tourism!
You don't use packing cubes or put your camera in some kind of protection? Your daypack is pretty nice, but big? I use a compromised version isn't that somehow better? Thanks for you informative video!
@@maxperez6760 Hi, I have been using Thule EnRoute Camera Backpack (20L, Black) for about 3 years now. It is expensive but it has held up perfectly and looks brand new. Thule has a larger version if you need the volume. Cheers
I agree with the laptop space it’s kinda off but I adore ospreys but I do feel my grey underarmour 30lt laptop compartment more natural ps red rocks ❤ 🎒
awesome video, but if you're traveling on a budget i would never recommend to get a 100€+ bag, it just makes 0 sense. get a cheap bag from like Decathlon or something or even just borrow it from a friend or relative who went through a camping/backpacking phase lmao
I disagree. If you do a lot of traveling, even on a budget, investing in a high quality bag is key. I saved for a long time for this bag and it has been worth every penny.
@@jrom2189 You saved for a long time for this bag!? Man you must be really poor. Im poor but I can buy 2 or 3 of these every month. You make me feel rich ! Lol
Osprey bags are great and so is traveling light. However, I would love this channel to be more conscious of the climate change and the huge impact flying has. You start by talking about those crazy cheap flights which is of course completely ridiculous. The real cost of flying is much higher and your footprint on the planet with flying that much is enormous. Please be more environmentally conscious and don’t promote cheap flights and short trips that are a huge burden on our planet!
Who in their right mind wouldn’t take cheap flights if they were available? Flying is flying and the price has nothing to do with carbon. If you don’t take a seat on that plane, someone else will.
ooh first video where someone showcases the packing. Thank you so much for this video and well done!
Thank you! I needed this video. I’ve been looking for someone to pack dslr gear with everything else in it.

Noted ✍️ and thanks!
Do you have the link for the daypack as well? Love the style.
I second this comment. Would like to know where the day pack is from.
This is perfect I really wanted a carryon all purpose bag. Thanks so much
You’re so welcome, we’re happy to help 😊
Thankyou for your review, what day pack do you have in this video?

Great review... maybe a review on your day pack...looks like an awesome as sling
I travel with the Osprey Porter 30 but, all things being equal, I loved this video!!
Yay, thanks! 🙌
What size did you get?
Your editing is awesome!! Thanks for the great review!
Thanks so much!
Thank you, I am new into one bag travel and needed to see this!
I assume the laptop compartment is on the front to make taking it in and out while getting your bags x-rayed easier.
Smart!

im curious about the daypack aswell. What kind of pack is that?
Love the review, only one spare shirt though? No toiletries at all? Would be nice to have a comment on weather proofing
Great point, thanks 🙌

Looks awesome! But I’m curious. With all that photo gear you must be over the carry on weight limit?
Hey! It would be, but they never weigh it 😅
@@LashanR you’ve been lucky then!😉👍🏼
What about your day pack? I rly love that. Where did you buy?
if you travel with a carryon, are you allowed to have like, an osprey daylite pack aswell? Without extra cost?

This is such a great video thank you so much for all teh detail
This is exactly the information I need to know. Thank you and safe travels.
We're glad! Happy travels

Absolutely!
Just bought one for a trip to Georgia. Hope it works itself out nicely.
Hi, will this pack fit under the seat for air travel?
Could you please link to that umbrella, it looks awesome
Porter model: Notebook is placed on the back side and thats much more comfortable. Thats the main difference between this and porter model.
Does it come in orange?
Hey whats the day pack you're using? looks sick!
Its from a video game infamous 2 pack surprised to see its functional 😂

Thank you for your review! I have the Osprey Fairview (I was told this is the female equivalent of the Farpoint) 55 and I love it.
We’re so glad 😊
I think because you might put the pack on the back like normal duffel then it could possibly crush the screen of laptop/ipad
Like your red jacket- what make/style is t ? - thanks.
This used to be my primary carry on. I really loved it but I wish the side support straps were removable. Awesome video!!
Thanks 🙏
What do you use now?

Nice review, thank you. I will be buying that pack.
I bought the new version which has the laptop sleeve in the main compartment by the back
On the updated model the laptop sleeve is next to your back.
Why did they discontinue the cool colors? 😩
This can be use as a carry on?
So helpful! Thank you so much 😊 so funny too
Where did you get your day pack from?? If you can remember that is😅
love your videos
Yay, we’re so happy to read that 😊
i have also its a great bag but i dont like only when i putting it down it didnt stand it fell down the rest ok
Why is your aus passport black?
I agree with the laptop space it’s kinda off but I adore ospreys but I do feel my grey underarmour 30lt laptop compartment more natural ps red rocks ❤ 🎒
Have you tried bringing it as a personal item?
Dude packed push-up handles (-_-)
Carry on bag 8kg I think this more than 8 kg
Sadly this is too big for easyJet or Ryanair carry on now :(
Certainly not carry on if it's overweight.
So you're going to travel Europe with no clothes? lol

PuSh Up HAnndleS ?
It's heavy as f*ck when loaded to the brim. Prefer an ol' good rolling bag.
Also an option 😊
