The TSA Pre-check is an optional program that you typically pay for. It is available at nearly all US airports. They essentially do a background check on you, and if no red flags show up, you're good to go. While you don't have to take off your shoes or belts, the big advantage is that during busy times, The TSA pre-check line takes a fraction of the time to get through. I've never spent more than 5 minutes in a pre-check line, and typically there is no waiting, just walk right through easy-peasy.

If you’re going to spend time at the airport, you should interview people that are going home. How many of them are miserable sick and sad? That’s Vegas. The only vacation you take were you swear you’ll never do it again every time and you go home sick. if you go to Hawaii or any place like that, you come back with good memories and your soul is recharged from nature, you come back from Vegas you’re toxic broke ashamed and sick. What a town!

I fly a lot. Parking is easy to find. There is a huge price difference between short and long term parking. You parked in long term in Las Vegas and looked at short term in Austin. Short term is expensive so people don't park there long term and the short term people can meet and pick up their people. And no, you're not supposed to turn your phone off on a plane. Just airplane mode. The line for taking nothing out of your bag, you need TSA Pre Check or Clear. Costs extra and they do a background check. LAS is my favorite airport. While I don't smoke anymore, I like that people can. They also feed the machines to help keep it so we don't pay state income tax.

A word of warning, slot machines at the airport are among the "tightest" in the city. They don't have offer great payout rates because....like where else are you going to go lol? (you're mainly there to get on a plane to leave or arrive).

In the line where some people are taking things out of bags and some arent - most major US airports are phasing in new machines that can scan your bag without requiring you to take your laptop or other electronics out first. They’re very expensive, so they’re rolling them out as they’re installed rather than just installing all of them at once, so some lines make you take your electronics out and some don’t.

Put all the fun stuff after security so that you don't have to worry about the clock and lines and can enjoy all the shops and stores... LAS has changed in the 13 years we've been coming here. We fly out of Ohio airports due to expenses of small airports. Columbus (CMH) and Cincinatti (CVG) are our departure airports. We like only non-stop flights now and the return flight is always a red eye. LAS is always busy, and our flights are generally always full, can you say (Economy airlines). We've had stops before in Houston, Pheonix, L.A., and Dallas. Didn't care for any of these, but if you get used to traveling this way, you get used to one and don't pay attention to the layouts and crowds. TSA is a really convoluted experience no matter which airport you go to. Used to get pre check when we flew but started getting no pre check last several years. As this is the only airports we use, my view isn't much to compare with. My wife has to stop at the smoking slot machine facility first thing arriving and last thing leaving. Only airport we know of with that.

My favorite airport in the US is my home airport: SFO. The reason is pretty simple. SFO is designed like a German airport, where there is a single loop where people get dropped off, and all the terminals branch off the main hub. This means to get to your flight all you need to do is go through security and walk in a straight line. It’s very easy to navigate.
Also, having been to Harry Ried Itl. very recently, it’s also pretty simple. I find it’s a lot like a smaller version of London-Heathrow, where there are parallel runways, and you need to take a tram to get between them, but you can pretty much get anywhere pretty quickly after you get past security. It’s solid.

Nice guy. You should try a job outside of sales. You should try a job where you’re not trying to push people to purchase things they don’t want. It’s the same mentality of a timeshare person. You don’t seem to care that the people you’re calling and approaching don’t want you to call or approach. What does that say about a person? Go get a job where you produce something and you feel good at the end of the day and you make money. Not sales. Try something completely different. You’re a very nice dude.

Not a bad airport. Hate the name though. Reid was a wimpy scoundrel.

The Harry Reid airport is the worst of the worst. After touch down heading from Frankfurt (Germany) in Las Vegas I didn't get my connecting flight. I spent 6 hrs starting from 11:00 p.m. to 05:00 a.m. next day to get my connecting flight to San Francisco. All shops, restaurants, cafes and bars were closed. Even not options to buy a coffee/water from an automat. No option to charge my phone/laptop. No officer to ask for any recommendations. I will always try to avoid this airport reminding me on the standard of airports in the 1970th.....

If you pronounce 'McCarren airport' fast it sounds like 'a Karen airport', which can't be a good sign 🤣

Steve. I still call the airport in Vegas McCarran! And I actually don't think much of it. The check in there was murder! So. I JUST GRIN AND BEAR IT AND GIVE IT A THUMBS DOWN. GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND YOURS. ❤
