I don't get why they had to be cut. These lines are awesome. They actually make us feel like these characters go way back and have a serious friendship. Playing like this would have made the betrayal have even more impact. While San Andreas is still among the best games ever made, it is crazy to imagine what Rockstar's original plans were for it at the beginning. I kind of wish we got that game a couple of years later.
Niizuma Eiji most likely the reason they deleted it was to save space. This game was released for a ps2 titles, after all, and the discs couldn’t hold more than 4gb.
Betrayal never happened from Ryder, long story short, Rockstar had fight with Ryder's voice actor and their revenge was basically killing his character in worst way possible.. Remember when CJ only talked about Smoke under bridge and later in conversations and 0 talk abour Ryder? Then Ryder's death mission.. That voice in the end is not his :D search it up on YT

At 0:45, Tenpennys dialogue can be heard on the mobile version if you scroll up on iOS to check the date or time and if you let the whole in game cutscene play you’ll be able to hear the last words, I tried this about 3 times and it worked
