You need only one crystal wand to have many! Tips: a) Iron discs like the ones I used here are a common item in hardware stores, b) You can choose different patterns and textures to decorate, but I find the floral or sea motifs the easiest, c) it may be done with Polymer clay but it's summer and the weather is too hot for the oven and d) aluminum wire spirals are only one of many options. You can use beads, rhinestones, sequins etc. Enjoy!
To me making Crystal interchangeable this way is not something I'll do but to me artificial/unnatural products are a big no-no so I guess at that point doesn't matter
@@Stone_Orchids Well as for the paint you can use color clay and water I guess. Glue that's another story. But the copper can be used for wrapping designs.
Super! I love the designs. The air dry clay looks harder to work with. As it is mid-winter here and freezing I shall stick with polymer clay! Thanks - your videos are always so inspiring and uplifting.
I m sure you ll create an amazing result. If I used polymer clay to decorate the wand and bind the crystals, I would avoid glue in general so, probably, I would use liquid polymer clay on the wand to make the polymer clay stick. And no glued string for the crystals either. Because I dont think it is safe to subject the glue to the heat of the oven. The string can be added after baking though, on the wand. The glue will be also used after baking to attach the discs and magnet. Lastly, I heard that amethysts can change color if baked.
@@babongababonga9588 That is an interesting comment about amethyst - I shall try and see. I have a (literally) century-old amethyst I inherited from my Granny and it has changed colour over the years, and has lived next to fire-places quite a bit. On a lighter note, I don't think I would ever put anything with glue in my oven - I have just started working on journal covers using your black polymer clay with mica powders ideas. My friend makes them on the book and bakes the lot or makes them separate to glue on afterwards. I decided to bake the lot (no glue used) and my book caught alight! I have a beautiful cover and embers! I dread to think what could have happened if there had been glue involved.
Oh! Sorry to hear that. I hope you salvaged the cover to use on another book. Maybe if you covered the book with aluminum foil, or baking paper, and then lift the foil or paper (with the clay cover on it) from the book and bake. I havent done any journal covers with polymer clay but I guess even if the book didn't burn completely, it would still be affected from the heat.
Water may damage the air dry clay decorations if varnish is not applied. Best not to risk. Polymer clay decorations would stand a better chance under the rain.
What a great idea! I love your art and vibe. I do a lot of magickal faires and festivals and am absolutely certain that these would sell out. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and art. You have given my creative muse a new direction 😊

@@Stone_Orchids maybe add copper plate and copper wire .
@@spiritualawakening8467 what you mean, instead of the glue and chemical paint?

I'm just wandering if it can be hold under the rain.
It is a strong magnet. I am sure it will hold.
@@babongababonga9588 my english is not so good. I wonder if the wand will keep the shape and the colors if is taking outside while is raining.

😍WoW
Is it possible to break? Because i think some kind of polymer that should dry are breakable! What is the brand name of the polymer ?
If baked properly, polymer clay doesn't break easily. I use the brands I can find in the stores, that is: fimo or cernit.
@@babongababonga9588 thanks🌌💗

It is the voice of a true fairy. Soothing and magical
