Oh glad Ken caught that, so you didn't miss the end credit. Every volume except for volume 8 has a end credit scene. And like everyone else is pointing out it kind of considered a dream sequence type deal now. Because of Monty's passing some plot elements dropped including whatever was supposed to follow up this. Apparently this red and black Yang look alike was supposed to fight JNPR at some point the volume three, but yeah that didn't happen and wouldn't make sense from what we know about her later. This is purely my own speculation, but in interviews Monty commonly state he just wanted to animate fights and left the most of writing to Miles and Kerry. So I think Monty just wanted to use this character earlier to show off her fighting style, instead of waiting for when she was actually needed in the story, but this is pure speculation as I stated.
Each volume is believed to represent the sessions, volume 1 as spring, volume 2 as summer and volume 3 as autumn, looking forward for you to see volume 4 (winter)

Small note, you can disregard the scene at the very end between Yang and the other woman. That scene might have had importance at one point, but now doesn't really. Treat it as if it wasn't there or that it was a dream Yang was having not connected to anything.

*INTRODUCING* - Coco Adel (hot chocolate) - Fox Alistair (fox hunter's pie + The Fox & the Hound) - Yatsuhashi Daichi (yatsuhashi) *WEAPONS* - Emerald's Thief's Respite (revolvers + sickles + chains) - Coco's Gianduja (purse + minigun) - Fox's Sharp Retribution (tonfa + daggers) - Yatsuhashi's Fulcrum (greatsword) *MY COMMENTS* - A nice humble season finale, I'd say. Team RWBY acknowledges that they've got a long way to go from here before they can call themselves true Huntresses. If you ask me, Volume 2 has an overarching theme of "maturing" - coming to terms with their own faults, so they know how they can proceed. - Consider Ironwood's actions with Ozpin...a precursor of things to come. - Also, Emerald and Mercury noted that the train plan got moved ahead of schedule. Keep this in mind for later... - Unfortunately, Yang running into Raven at the very end here has been retconned into being a mere dream.
Neo has the Boba Fett effect, in that Vader showed respect to Fett, which let us as the audience know he was an extremely skilled, bad ass bounty hunter. So when Neo beats Yang by toying with her after we've been following Yang and seeing how skilled she is, we instantly know how powerful Neo is. To add to this, seeing Neo scared of Yang's mysterious savior also shows how powerful _she_ is .
The new person from last episode (that you thought was Mulan) is based on a character, but it is very hard to guess who that character is until like Volume 4 & 5, but she and another character are a pair of characters from Nordic mythology.
Who's the woman in the dream scene from the end?? A lost sister? Yang's alter ego? Her mother? Maybe she have Yang's face in the dream because Yang doesn't know her real face, but somehow knows that she must be related 🤔
that end scene is now a non cannon scene. they were going to go one way but changed it after monty's death. side note ignore all the RT haters on this moment. people like to place blame anywhere they can.
Man this season is just to be butter till next season is going to bring in the toast and be perfectly amazing till some moment. 😄 also the team reveal with CFVY is the most stylish to epic team out of RWBY series. I can’t wait for you both to witness Velvet’s 🐰 performance
Sadly that last scene didn't matter anyway...It was later recon and it wasn't canon anymore...So there for that scene was never mention again in the later seasons.
Volume 2 finished!! Glad you guys enjoyed it^^ Could you please do a soundtrack reaction as well after World of Remnant? For volume 2 it's better to find a playlist with all of the OSTs but from volume 3 onwards it's better to continue with FlyntofRWBY (I could then link a playlist with all of the volume's ost since he doesn't keep playlists). But for volume 2 he's got some spoilers in the artwork that should be evaded so it's really just better to find a complete volume 2 playlist that uses pictures of the show (just for this time^^). Also, just a bit of info: all of the last episodes in each volume has an after credit scene of some sort, so don't miss them :D Volume 2 is not really canon, or rather it's considered to be Yang's dream (which she then forgets after waking up). But it's really important to setting up the character that appears later in the show^^ But that's the only exception - all of the others are canon^^
The red-clad woman who looks like Yang has a very elusive inspiration/reference. I think it is kind of a big spoiler though, so I will only say that it comes from Norse Mythology and it's pretty interesting once you get it.
CAN-NOT wait for V3 -- it is the pinnacle of this animation software; and the skills of this group of animators; the CRWBY. Hang on -- its going to be a ride. Later, after V3 we move into the MAYA engine...and the CRWBY expand and grow! ((Just like our heroes))
okay, now that volume 2 is technically done; prepare for a big, BIG overhaul for Volume 3 also I missed commenting on the last episode but everyone has combo team names similar to the fight against the mech, some are cool sounding and some are just funny for instance: Weiss and Yang's combo is Freezerburn Blake and Ruby is Ladybug Yang and Jaune is called Dragonslayer oddly enough; Yang and Neo is called Baked Alaska while Pyrrha and Ruby is called Milk and Cereal
I am happy that Cinder Fall is in both of your top favourite characters list. As I’ve said before, Cinder, who is the main villain of the series, is also, in my opinion, the *_best_* villain of the series. If you want more evil and villainy in this show, Cinder alone in Volume 3 will give you enough to last a lifetime. Everything has been building up to Cinder’s grand master plan; Volume 1 was her setting up the first stages, Volume 2 was her progressing through the plan and building it up, and Volume 3 is where she will execute it all.
Volume 1 was the introduction to the main characters. Volume 2 was some world building…. Volume 3: ……..Buckle Up Buttercups the ride is just getting started… 😂🤣😹😈🤟🏻
Ken & Beth, you're final notes on Volume 2 was very informative and in depth!!! Which is why I really enjoy following you two. Plus, we can feel both of yours emotional investment in the characters of the series. It is a beautiful thing!! Now, Volume 3 is at hand..... The Vytal Festival will be a focal point of the show, of course. But, keep your eyes and ears wide open. Til next time, have a great week. o7 😎👍🏿🌹👏🏿😄
Looking forward to the festival! Next week we are checking out some World of Remnant to learn more about festival and other stuff then volume 2 soundtrack and on to 3 😅
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Good!! You are taking in the series exactly like many of us, just as RT rolled it out then. The WoR was a must for understanding RWBY and their world. You will enjoy them.
Coco tells Velvet the bunny girl not to do whatever she was about to. What special attack is so badass that a season finale boss fight with monsters all over the city isn't reason enough to use it? Ironwood obviously has good intentions and Torchwick is obviously a villain, but keeping him in a tiny solitary cell with no charges or trial indefinitely does not make me feel great. It's great to see you both enjoying the show so much, and volume 3 will not disappoint.
Heck of a finale to the second season, huh? Quite a lot packed in, too. 1) Team RWBY fighting off a massive horde of Grimm, despite still being exhausted from the earlier parts of their mission. 2) Jaune holding his own and making Pyrrha proud. 3) Atlas demonstrating why they’re the planet’s largest military force. 🙄 4) Zwei and Oobleck are fine. Come on, you knew they would be. 5) The bad@$$ display of Team CFVY. Complete with their own theme song, Caffeine. You’ll see Velvet at full power next volume, and I fully expect you to geek out when you do. Coco has the greatest “How TF Does That Work?!” weapon of all time. 6) Cinder and her team keeping their cover, both by fighting the Grimm AND by turning in Roman. 7) Roman locked up, but not unhappy about it. #ominous 8) Adam’s back. Oh crap! 9) A reunion sequence that, sadly, had to be changed later, because Monty died before he could write his plans down. 10) Remnant politics at work, and distrust building between James and Ozpin. I hope you’re loving the series so far. But now you’re coming to the greatest hurdle: Volume 3. This is what makes or breaks a lot of viewers. You’ll see why. I love your reactions, so please don’t break?
Yeah V2 made some improvements. Longer episodes, actual background models, better focus on the story, character moments for characters that got a little sidelined last volume ( *cough* Yang *Cough* ), and some more fun action set pieces and character interactions in general. While it's not perfect and there were definitely still some animation moments that were a little clunky, I'd say it's a pretty solid volume overall. Can't wait for the soundtrack reaction.
So happy that they gave Yang more depth this season. Being the cool older sister can only take you through one season. Looking forward to more growth for the team 🙂

The ending of the episode there seems to be a dream Yang is having, so everything in it isn't exactly accurate, the trees are the biggest giveaway. so the mystery woman isn't an accurate depiction of the character in that dream
Ah yes, tis but the first sign of a bigger scheme revolving around Beacon. Things are certainly looking…Grimm? 😅 Couldn’t resist the pun, enjoyed your reactions as always guys!
So as you might already know by now, Monty Oum passed away between the releases of Volume 2 and Volume 3. Before Volume 3 got released, Rooster Teeth put out a special Tribute video to Monty and his work. I think it would be a great homage to him if you'd be up to react to the tribute video before Starting Volume 3 (or asap if you already have). Here's the official Link to the tribute video. (its only about 3 minutes long as well) ua-cam.com/video/_465XaHoiGs/v-deo.html
Way too late now but I've always preferred people skip the end credit scene because it's not canon anymore, I actually missed the end credit scene on my first watch and I'm glad I did, it made the actual canon reveal better
Volume 3 is the season where you either decide to stay or say I give up. Cinder is raw sex appeal. Truly the best villain. Torchwick will always be my favorite though. Pure charisma with no ability. Just a thief that's willing to do anything.
A thief with no ability? Torchwick is a very skilled fighter in his own right. The only reason he's defeated as much as he is is because he doesn't have a Semblance like most of his opponents. Whenever he's actually fighting, he's good. He was able to track Blake's movements and keep up with her in close quarters even with her constantly creating Shadows back at the end of Volume 1, and that's with just basic skills. Blake is not a weak fighter. At that point, she was arguably the most skilled combatant on Team Rwby due to her practical experience, and she passed the Beacon entrance exams with flying colors. And Torchwick, a man with no semblance of his own, was able to keep up with her in combat, and even managed to hold his own against her and Sun together. So yeah, Torchwick has plenty of ability in combat, he just gets shafted because Cinder doesn't consider him important enough to use his full potential, so he's always relegated to supervising the grunt work.
No ability as in semblance. Yes no need for the explanation I've binged the series each time a season dropped and a couple times with reactors so at least 10 times I've watched all 8 seasons.
Ironwood is good but his method a little off because he brought his paranoia to Vale that he didn't think that what the citizen will feel, he only think about the safety that he really think is best.
i'm sure a lot of people said this already but i guess one more can't hurt brace yourselves, season 3 is beginning, and that season hits hard, i join to the recommendation to watch RWBY Chibi after that, you going to needed
15:22 Ok so (No spoilers for the ID of the person in red) this scene has some questionable cannonicity in the fandom, as its not brought up again and it was a last minute add-on by Monty and a lot fan have written it off as a dream.

Thanks for the info on the character and why she was introduced and why it was changed around later 🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Np!
Each volume is believed to represent the sessions, volume 1 as spring, volume 2 as summer and volume 3 as autumn, looking forward for you to see volume 4 (winter)
wholesome rection video, I remember reacting the same way you did for this scene. students sure are growing to their bravery in their own way and fantastic skills, Zwei just a little bundle for puppy power, I just want to pet Zwei so much he earned a good cookie treat
Small note, you can disregard the scene at the very end between Yang and the other woman. That scene might have had importance at one point, but now doesn't really. Treat it as if it wasn't there or that it was a dream Yang was having not connected to anything.
Great that you have finally finished volume 2 and now onto volume 3! Now this is where you truly will become one of us once you finish that volume.
Alright. Now THIS is very important for what I'm about to say. Like before, there's also four episodes of World of Remnant in Volume 3 known as "Vytal Festival Tournament", "Huntsmen", "Cross Continental Transmit System", and "The Four Maidens". Now it's your choice if you want to watch them or not but if you do, I suggest you watch the first three but not the fourth one until a bit later but that's entirely up to you if you wanna see them all before starting volume 3 or not.
Hope you enjoy volume 3 and be ready for what you will see from it!
To be fair, it’s not much of a spoiler unless you tell them that it is. But I agree, it should be seen later
@@chaossalad3243 Yeah, my bad, but to be also fair, I also told them that's entirely their choice too and it ain't any big deal either.
This is it people, the prelude to the beginning of the end, I wish you luck, you're gonna need it
And thats why her purse hits so hard as stated in ep 2 the weight of wrapons does not change even when shrunk so her purse is as heavy as a gattling gun
The woman at the end is Yangs mother, but that scene was later retconed because Monty Oum sadly died.
Spoiler
Yes finally you guys got to the volume 2 finale which was awesome. I can not WAIT for you guys to get to volume 3 now ! Easily the best season for me !"
We’ve heard a lot of hype for volume 3 😁
8:46 Not just any purse. A FRIGGIN MINI GUN! 😁🤩
*INTRODUCING*
- Coco Adel (hot chocolate)
- Fox Alistair (fox hunter's pie + The Fox & the Hound)
- Yatsuhashi Daichi (yatsuhashi)
*WEAPONS*
- Emerald's Thief's Respite (revolvers + sickles + chains)
- Coco's Gianduja (purse + minigun)
- Fox's Sharp Retribution (tonfa + daggers)
- Yatsuhashi's Fulcrum (greatsword)
*MY COMMENTS*
- A nice humble season finale, I'd say.
"Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!" XD
6:08 bet Ozpins glad Ironwood brought the army now
Neo has the Boba Fett effect, in that Vader showed respect to Fett, which let us as the audience know he was an extremely skilled, bad ass bounty hunter. So when Neo beats Yang by toying with her after we've been following Yang and seeing how skilled she is, we instantly know how powerful Neo is. To add to this, seeing Neo scared of Yang's mysterious savior also shows how powerful _she_ is .
CVFY are covered in a pair of books. Do not read anything about these until Volume 3 (first book) and Volume 6 (second book).
Dude was too excited to watch the volume finale
The new person from last episode (that you thought was Mulan) is based on a character, but it is very hard to guess who that character is until like Volume 4 & 5, but she and another character are a pair of characters from Nordic mythology.
“We want some oz action”
OOOOO BOIIIIIIIII
Haha, at first thought the butter was a mistake and you meant better but then came the toast 🤣 well done 👏
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Hehe what can I say, it was funny in my head then putting in comments 😅
Also, just a bit of info: all of the last episodes in each volume has an after credit scene of some sort, so don't miss them :D
Volume 2 is not really canon, or rather it's considered to be Yang's dream (which she then forgets after waking up).
I forgot just how PALE Team RWBY was in Volumes 1-3.
adam was seen in rwby trailer black with Blake incase we forgot
Thanks! 🙂
Wow, been a while since I heard someone call Cinder "an awesome villain."
okay, now that volume 2 is technically done; prepare for a big, BIG overhaul for Volume 3
also I missed commenting on the last episode but everyone has combo team names similar to the fight against the mech, some are cool sounding and some are just funny
for instance:
Weiss and Yang's combo is Freezerburn
Blake and Ruby is Ladybug
Yang and Jaune is called Dragonslayer
oddly enough; Yang and Neo is called Baked Alaska while Pyrrha and Ruby is called Milk and Cereal
My Top fav are:
1. Weiss ❄
2. Weiss ❄
3. Weiss ❄
4. Weiss ❄
5. Glynda 👓
That moment when you realize that this version of Ren never had the chance to make out to that village.
Cant wait for the soundtrack, you'll REALLY love this soundtrack
😎🤟
Coco's weapon reminds me of DMC4 Pandora, the breifcase.
I personally like Neo, Penny, and Weis. Like Blake, Weis has a lot of growth in the series. Jon does as well.
4) Zwei and Oobleck are fine.
#ominous
8) Adam’s back.
I love your reactions, so please don’t break?
and yes that was yang's mother
Brace yourselves for volume 3. Big, heavy stuff is coming.
Volume 3 will break their minds.
Volume 3 is like : welcome to hell
I don’t know what you’re talking about… Nothing bad ever happened…
Lot of hype going into 3 with people saying it is their favorite volume 🤩
You guys are really in it for volume 3! Enjoy it!
We all knew that you were gonna simp for Coco, with her attitude and minigun-purse.
15:05 - This Scene Really makes me angry now.
You have no Idea how hyped I was for this Character
And what they do with this Character Really didnt met my expectations.
Team CFVY is insane I wish there was some kind of spinoff about them cuz this episode alone warrants that.
Do books count to you or no? If so then there’s a cannon spinoff book series for them between vol 3-end of 8
I doing think u two know how happy this makes me feel right after watching first episode of volume 9 now ur reaction to the end of volume 2 so thank u so much and prepare for volume 3 it will break u so I can't wait good luck 😊
The ending of the episode there seems to be a dream Yang is having, so everything in it isn't exactly accurate, the trees are the biggest giveaway.
so the mystery woman isn't an accurate depiction of the character in that dream
dont want to spoiler but will say i loved the Atlas fighter crafts in vol 2 compared to later volumes.......cause it just does to me
😎👍☺️
Ah yes, tis but the first sign of a bigger scheme revolving around Beacon. Things are certainly looking…Grimm? 😅
Couldn’t resist the pun, enjoyed your reactions as always guys!
Can't wait for the Volume 2 Soundtrack reaction!
😎🤟
This post-credit scene is not canon, it is a dream or something.
You'll love the V2 soundtrack
Trust me you'll find out who that mystery person is in the coming volumes
i'm sure a lot of people said this already but i guess one more can't hurt
brace yourselves, season 3 is beginning, and that season hits hard, i join to the recommendation to watch RWBY Chibi after that, you going to needed
🤣🤣🤣🤣The intro
Okay, now watch Yang Vs Tifa Death Battle! No spoilers to hold you back!
15:22 Ok so (No spoilers for the ID of the person in red) this scene has some questionable cannonicity in the fandom, as its not brought up again and it was a last minute add-on by Monty and a lot fan have written it off as a dream.
On to Volume 3! Brace yourself!
As a few others have said...hopefully without spoiling too much, Volume 3 is where things definitely kick off :)
Really excited to keep watching the series with you both!
edit: also Neo is easily one o my top 3 characters from RWBY
the mystery woman at the end might be revealed in the credits, just saying.
Hopefully you’re doing the soundtrack and then the WORs before jumping to Volume 3. Which, without context, I can simply say: you aren’t ready.
Without spoiling anything, All I will say is there are bigger, more sinister people behind the scenes.
