    Guns make suicide very easy. I'm glad to see the acknowledgment of suicide as a leading cause of child death rates and to couple that with funding for improved access to mental health care, but distressed to see the complete unwillingness to acknowledge that the extraordinary availability of guns facilitates suicide. Of course there are many ways to commit suicide but most methods are far less successful. A gun is almost certain to result in death, leaving no possibility of a second chance at life.

      I agree! And from having a brother commit suicide at age 31, because he was introduced to guns, plenty of them by a bro-in- law! In Texas!! But you're right there are other ways! Like taking a bunch of pills and overdosing! Mental illness is terrible in the US & rest of the world! In the way of MI we don't need guns! All these different types of guns! I'm not sure if there are enough Dr's, to treat the mental illness! I believe it's caused from sp many things, genetics for one! Mainly!! Then upbringing, sexuak molestation, seeing domestic violence growing up! Just dysfunction period!"And what does the world have to offer sometimes!! Not much as far as help! All we are seeing in our government is fighting, never agreeing on anything, not doing their jobs, but they want that big money & power! That's all they're worried about besides themselves! It's ugly, depressing, frustrating, and then comes an insurrection, that's never before happened in the history of the US! Nobody acts the way they do, or commits such heinous acts unless they have had a terrible childhood or horrible things happen to them that takes their mind to the extreme! And suicide is genetic, but it can also, I think stem from unfortunate circumstances that's happened or happening in their life! They just feel like they just need a way out! For whatever reason, that's making them feel like they're feeling! It's an escape, I think that's the reasoning for alot of people who are addicted to drugs! Or who are alcoholics!! It's sad! 😢😮😢😮😢

    • @stephanieclay5343
      @stephanieclay5343 Рік тому

      It's real easy to answer! The illegal guns come across the boarder from Mexico!! B ut as soon as Mexico gets them just across the Americans do the rest! Just like the Fentanyl, all Mexico does is take it just across the border! The useless people who call themselves Americans, Patriots!! They peddle it to wherever it goes!! And bcuz of money, it ends many lives!! From 16yrs old to only God knows how old!! Because nobody's exempt from drug addiction!! Just like alcohol, which is a drug! A liquid one! A legal one! Money maker! From way back! Kills and condones the killing of one's self or others! And the gov't or should I say the Republican Party, doesn't want any part of banning the military style weapons that should only be used in combat! Not in civilized society!! Nobody is trying to take anyone's 2nd ammendment rights away!! But the AR15'S & other military style weapons should be banned!! People don't get ahold of illegal guns if they're not on the streets or not banned lawfully thru government! We're not ever gonna be able to prevent mass shootings. There is a Mental ill pandemic in this country, and the world! But there's ways to sure decrease it immensely!! Other countries don't have it or put up with it like US! And it's lives being lost all the time! And children's lives many many children! And if our government doesn't wanna serve & protect like they take an oath to do! It's Time for them to go!! I mean My Gosh! No regard for human life, a child's life in this country anymore! It's time for actions, not stupid freaking lies we hear from politicians!! 😮😢😮😢

    This is a perfect example of why I left Utah why I am an atheist, and why I despise these people who are so gentile in their presentation of their hatred. I’m not gay. I’m not bi. I’m not looking to become transgender. In fact I find what other people do is absolutely not none of my business. But unfortunately, my experience amongst religious groups is they have no concept of what an individuals rights would be. He shows empathy and compassion but he is the ultimate team player.
    We just left the Beehive State after nine years there.
    The leadership of the Utah House and Senate really control the path the State takes. Any Utah Governor is just a figurehead.
    That being said he is disingenuous at best or a lying politician at worst.
    He does not want to see his deflection and distraction over the dangers of social media to kids but not guns. He twists and turns and plays the caring card but will not move on the issue.
    He once stood in front of City Hall in SLC and apologized on his past treatment of the LGBTQ+ population but this past June his office secretly downplayed Pride Month for the first time. Again, he has higher political goals.
    The man is a charmer who tries to play both sides but lacks a moral compass.
    As they say in Utah, he's a true politician - "You bet"

    As a resident of Utah, let me say I like Governor Spencer Cox a lot, and there are examples in this interview of why I do. On the subject of trans youth, I appreciate the fact that Governor Cox is not a blow-hard like Ron DeSantis. Cox has worked very hard to keep some kind of balance on this issue, which considering how much the far-right has been pressuring Republican lawmakers on the issue, this has not been easy. I'm certain many in the LGBTQ community do not agree with Utah's laws regarding trans youth, but unlike some Republicans, both in Washington and on the state level, at least Cox is willing to listen to all side and proceed with caution.
    On the topic of the 2024 election, while Cox did not flat-out attack Donald Trump, it is pretty clear to me he is no Trump fan and would very much like to see someone else besides Trump be the GOP nominee in 2024. Cox is one of those Republicans who is not a Trump disciple and its too bad there aren't more like him.
    The only thing I would take issue with Governor Cox on is the subject of firearms. While Cox is not a die-hard gun nut, he still fails to acknowledge that the U.S. is not a safe country, and that the flood of firearms we have in this country has not made us more safe, but less. If we want to protect our children from the dangers that result from social media, why not do the same thing with firearms? Is the second amendment so inflexible that we can't take even take tiny steps to curb the number of firearms that continue to fill up our cities and communities?
    Grade wise I would give Governor Cox a B+ which is a lot higher than I would give many other elected officials I see interviewed on television.

This creates a new market field in the education and the cyber security platforms. Many new jobs exist here. Also creating a new and extended timeline for at home parents of young children. This is amazing for the economy. Henceforth, by the turn of this second generation the market yield will become implemented; and what amazing speed.
