Alex and Callie, thank you for the news. Any Deaf Lyft drivers here? Do you warn your customers that if they want to talk to you during the ride, they need to tap your shoulder or something? In New York, at least, having earbuds while driving is illegal.
Thank you for delivering news in ASL today! Here are my thoughts on some of the news that were shared. As for an ICC prosecutor seeking arrests of leaders of Israel and Hamas, even if ICC as a whole denies his request, people who have committed war crimes, murder, violence, etc. and have not repented over these things, will be judged for those things on Judgment Day. We are called to do no violence to our fellow human beings. As for a former Atlanta police officer arrested in the fatal shooting of a Lyft driver, the police officer was foolish to commit murder as he could have called 911 first. As for Taiwan's newly elected president taking office, it is nice he wants peace, but unfortunately, many countries and people don't do what is necessary to ensure peace and freedom. As for FDIC"s chairman to step down, as there are less people with morals and values, the toxicity of workplaces continue to rise. As for a moose killing a man in Alaska, first of all, he shouldn't have been out in the wild on a Sunday. Second of all, it is definitely not wise to get too close to a moose. I have lived in Alaska for 3 years and have seen moose. You definitely don't want to get too close to them as they are massive animals!
Aaron, do you currently live in Alaska? My sister has lived there for at least 10 years. She hit a moose once, and it totaled her truck! Unrelated, I know that they hunt moose each year. I wonder how they stay safe.
@@MarleneHen I currently live in California. I lived in Alaska from 1993 to 1995 and wouldn't want to live there again. I'd be okay with visiting again. As for your sister, she hit a moose once and it totaled her truck?! Was your sister okay? The town I lived in Alaska has moose, but you want to steer clear of them and let them be.
@@aarondelgado3421 Gotcha. My sister likes it there. If I remember correctly, she was OK. Ironically, when she was younger, she crashed her car accident into a telephone pole, and that broke her arm... because there was a little bitty bee in the car. She was trying to get it away from kids in the backseat. More physical damage from the bee than the moose!
@@MarleneHen I am glad she was okay! She crashed her car into a telephone pole because of a bee in the car?! Couldn't she quickly and safely move the car to a place where she can park it and roll down all the windows? Well, it is easier to avoid a moose than a bee because you can see a moose while you can't always see a bee!
@@aarondelgado3421 The girls were screaming in the back and she was really worried. Also, she was very young. Maybe 17 or 18. She realized afterward what she should've done!
Thank you always
Thank you
Now imagine the news we don't see publicly.
Thank you Callie and Alex for the update.
