Congratulations on 1k! Im enjoying your channel! I notice you mentioned Mr Sam... before his video on TT120 he put a survey on you tube to OO modellers. Im an OO modeller who is considering TT as a layout alongside my existing layout (Especially with the HST coming out). There was however no option on the survey for someone like me who is interested in both ....just an "I would change to TT120 from OO." Which I wouldn't... very skewed.

I totally agree with you regarding Sam's comments. I was reaching for the anti depressants by the end. Nor do I believe Helijan has written off TT 120.
Well done on reaching your first thousand subscribers. I always look forward to your videos and they are always an enjoyable, interesting and informative watch. And it’s nice to see some positivity around the hobby.
I think you’re right about other manufactures. If they think they can make money out of TT:120, they’ll jump in. I think Heljan’s cancelling of their models was a knee jerk reaction to Hornby’s announcement. Although it appears Heljan’s class 31 was still at the CAD/Development stage, if they’d waited a bit and given it some thought, they might have worked out that their 31 would be out before Hornby’s. With all the other models that Hornby had planned, it may have been Hornby that quietly shelved their 31 to avoid a clash. We’ll probably never know.
Anyway, keep up the good work, and as always, I’ll look forward to your next offering.

Another reasonable and considered response to the haters. I used to be a subscriber of Sam until I sussed his game. It's all about numbers and nothing sells papers like a disaster on the front page. I no longer give him view time.

As a 2mm scale modeller, I entirely get the potential of TT120. There is no way I could model 00. Unfortunately, I think Sam might just be right. From my perspective, Hornby's attempt to keep the TT120 entirely for themselves (except for Peco and accessorisers) will prove counter-productive.
Maybe, but that’s the previous management team back in 2022. It’s now 2 years on, I’m not so sure that argument washes? Time will tell

Well done on the videos. I watched Sam's Hornby rant yesterday and was pleased with your well balanced response. I am currently building my TT120 layout as well as an OO one. I have installed decoders in my TT120 locos ready to run when the wiring is completed. However the decoder for the 08 is not available yet. Being a newbie to DCC how do I run my 08 on a DCC layout?
Hello John, yes there’s plenty of room for all scales surely?
Unfortunately, until the 6pin HM7000 appears this summer, the options are;
Get it converted either by yourself or by Richard @thuswayworks or fit a standard 6pin DCC decoder which are readily available. This will give you DCC and sound as there’s space for a sugar cube in the cab, but not compatible with HM7000 Bluetooth
