The power went out here because of a thunderstorm and I couldn’t unlock the washer door after the power came back on.Thanks to you, problem solved. Gracias!
Thanks! This happened to me about 2 years ago. It cost over $150 to get someone to come out to the house to do exactly this! He told me and I remembered but couldn't entirely remember so I'm glad I found this.
I got the F03 and E01 code and took apart a good part of my Maytag commercial series washer ( exact same thing as the Whirlpool in this video), cleaned the trap and blew out a couple of lines/hoses and reassembled the whole thing just to get the same exact problems, a continually running drain pump, locked door and the E01 and F03 codes. After watching this video I thought, well, it's only 3 screws, which I just had out, it is worth a try. IT WORKED, pulling up the manual release reset my relay and unlocked the door and the codes disappeared. The first attempt cleaning the trap and a bunch of hoses took about 1-1/2 hours, this manual release of the door to reset everything took 12 minutes from start to finish! Thank you so much for this video, I was thinking control board, sensors, who knows what. A free fix in 12 minutes. AWESOME!
Great video!! We had a power outage in the middle of a wash cycle. No power on display panel. Just a beep when you tried to turn it on. Door locked with laundry inside. Followed instructions in video to open door, plugged in washer and display sprang to life! Put top back on and ran a new wash cycle. Excellent video explanation. Thank you. My GF thinks I’m so smart!!
Thank you so much for the helpful advice. Received error code but unplugged before I saving code, so first video was this one, as I was following your directions the next video came on which was the code that caused my machine to stop in the first place. So now fixed!! Thank you for saving me money for a repair I could not afford.
Thank you for this video … I was stuck with another error code and needed to try and reset the machine and couldn’t. By opening the door and releasing the latch I was able to plug it back in with the door open once I got the latch released. Appreciate your video help!
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance hi Karl, I have this washer and all of a sudden it just won’t power on. The outlet that supplies it is live and the breaker isn’t tripped. What should I look at? No matter what I hit the power button and nothing.
Oh my goodness, just what we needed, have an F1E1 error code needed to open the door, this worked to help us see where the lock box is, on a duet washer its a slender box on the left side that has latches

Thank you very much. It helped me to open the washer's door. The only thing is that while releasing the door, the pastic piece broke. Hope I will be able to release again should the door malfunctions again.
Thank you guys very very much y'all save me a bunch of money from having a repair guy come out and diagnose what the hell is going on thank you I thank you I thank you and keep up the good work guys
Hi just wanted to share a potential fix that most people and repair people could look past I was getting constant errors during the drain or trying to spin. Tried to reset and it would work and then not work. After getting ready to call a repair person, I notice that the latch was a little loose on the door. I closed it while watching how it lined up where the latch goes into, and it was way off center. The latch mount has the ability to slide back and forth to line up (need square bit) I loosened it and realigned the latch to be centered and now on my 4th load without a single shut down with the "E1" "F3" error codes flashing back and forth. .
Awesome Rik, I’m so glad it worked and saved you time and money 😊 I hope you’ll click here to support us by joining our Channel: ua-cam.com/channels/GpInAejvpfVVE4FHB_L-Dg.htmljoin
could a bad door lock give you the error code F3 E1? I have cleared the pump and replaced it but I still get this code after, in fact I have replace every part that I could because it was under warranty but the service man called it a lemon and said it can't be fixed? When I plug it in it hums and then flash the error code but I can turn the knob and get it to clear but it continues to hum and will not unlock? Any and all help will be useful and thanks for your videos

Thank you! I think it should be said that in a case like mine where i do not have cabinets directly overhead, the 3 screws can be felt and removed without the need to move the washer or get behind it. I just felt for the 3 screws and removed them with a ratchet & socket from the front of the machine. Then the top was slid back and the door latch was easy to trip. This also reset the machine computer so i could get the machine to finish the spin cycle and it seemed to work fine after that.
Have you encounter any issue and how to fix for not selecting its CyCle wash? All i see in the little screen is - - and it wont change except the Heavy Load cycle which stuck on “HOT” water only. Help! 😬
Thanks so much for this video. I had another error code that I couldn’t get reset with the door locked. I was able to get the door open and then I left the door open and plugged it back in. It takes about 30 seconds to reset once you plug it back in, but it worked great! Thanks for your help with this video and saving a lot of hassle!!

Hmm. I have the exact same problem. Followed the same steps, but it didn't reset. I plug it back in and I'm in the same state. Any other options if this didn't do the trick?
I have one problem and I also have the same model my washing machine does start whenever I unplug it but as it’s start it begins too switch off on it’s own but the door lock is not the problem is just to get it working properly I need help please
Awesome video! I followed your steps and got the door open plugged it back in and it still did exactly the same thing. I think the front panel is stuck cause when you push buttons nothing happens. Anybody else have this issue?
I replaced the pressure sensor and the User interface. It seemed to work great and then it threw F3-E1 code. I took the coin catcher out of the drain pump & vacuumed it out. I blew in the line for the pressure sensor and it bubbled water in the outer wash basket. I put everything back together and it worked for a little bit but now it's throwing the F3 - E1 code again. Not sure exactly what to do. Any suggestions?

Maybe try half as much detergent to see if that cures it.

Can you tell me what type of drill and bit you use to remove the screws ans what setting to place the drill on?
It’s a Milwaukee drill set at a 12 setting.
