My family drinks through out the day. A full tank gives you 2.5 gallons. Best way to do it is before going to bed, fill up bottles(preferably glass) and also fill the top tank, so more water can filter while you sleep. This way you start off the day with water in bottles, along with new filtered water ready in the santevia and you can fill the top tank again in the morning, once in the afternoon, repeat the cycle. You'll always have water available and it's really not a tedious task even though my explanation was lengthy
I have been using this system for few years now but I had problem with ceramic pre- filter not once but three times already, because the ceramic part separates it self from the plastic base which is held with some kind of glue. I'll stop using this system until Santevia comes up with some kind of solution.
Can you make a video for after you've had your countertop filter running for a year and I bought those things. I need to replace it, but I'd like to watch a video of someone replacing theirs
Hi there! We have a few videos of filter changes and cleaning the Gravity Water System on our UA-cam page. Here's a link to one showing the life span of each of the filters: ua-cam.com/users/shortsgjL9SD_2yUg
Why dry the rocks if they're going to be submerged right after?? Also it would be good to offer/replace your artifical/plastic parts that come in contact with the water with glass instead in the near future if you can.
Drying the Mineral Stones ensure they perform properly in your system. We do have a Glass Water System available for pre-order now if that's your preference!
Hey Alex! Yes, we have outlined our recommended maintenance/cleaning routine for the Gravity Water System below: Weekly: Ceramic Pre-Filter: When the Ceramic Pre-filter is noticeably dirty or running slow, scrub the surface of the Pre-Filter with the grey sponge included in the box or another clean fine-textured sponge. Rinse under running tap water. This may be once a week or as needed. Some water sources have more sediment so more frequent cleaning may be required. The colour of a dirty Ceramic Pre-Filter depends on the quality of the source water. Do not use soap or detergent. 4-6 Months: We recommend routine cleaning of the entire system each time you change the Fluoride Filter or your 5-stage Filter (every 4-6 months). Full System: Drain and disassemble the system. Use a cleaning solution made of 5 mL (1 tsp) bleach to 1 L (4 cups) of water. Wash all plastic parts in cleaning solution. Rinse with clean tap water. 5-Stage Filter: Replace. Mineral Stones: Transfer stones into a pot. Boil stones for at least 1 minute to sanitize and condition. Drain the stones and lay out on a clean paper towel or towel to cool. Place stones into the bottom tank. Tap: Take apart the tap and soak in cleaning solution while you prepare the filters. Dirt or caked sediment can be removed with a paper towel or cotton swab dipped in vinegar. Rinse with clean tap water. Dry all parts with clean paper towel. Re-assemble and re-install the tap.
First time user here: My filter is working quite well however water is leaking from under the last white bottom compartment. How could I fix this issue?
First time user here. As u said in the video when u fill the top part with water and check the spigot for leaks should the water already be at the bottom like urs in the video. Because after I filled my top part with water it slowly dropped to the bottom compartment is that normal?
Yes this sounds correct! The water slowly passes through the Ceramic Pre-filter and then through the main Fluoride Filter and then drops to the lower tank. If you are having any issues with your system don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team!
Hi there ! I’ve been using Santevia for a year now and been super pleased with it until I changed all the filters a few days ago . Something went wrong because the taste of water is terrible- it literally taste like the stones with quite stong scent. When I did this first time , everything was perfectly fine . I’m beginning for help coz I don’t know what to do - should I boil the stones again, let them dry out or just rinse them under running water and dry them out again? Is there anyone who had the same problem?
Hi there! Sorry to hear this, we'd recommend washing your system again with dish soap and water, and then reconditioning your filters again (run water through your filter and then boil the Mineral Stones). If you are still having the issue after this, please reach out to our customer support team at help@santevia.com.
Its possible but you could just remove some of the rocks in the bottom to see if that balances out the taste for you. One of the minerals they says comes from the rocks is sodium. But you can also reach out to them on their website through chat or call. They're very responsive
don't lose the part that the 5 stage filter screws into. My system was dismantled because I couldn't afford to replace the filters. Yesterday, I spent over a hundred on a new ceramic, and one of the fluoride rated 5 stage filters. Came home only to realize now that my four hundred dollar investment (CDN) is missing that part. What a waste of money. Without the cartridge connector, the entire system is useless. That cheap plastic ring is my nemesis, because I remember seeing it last year all year long and thinking what the hell is that thing. Eventually, it got recycled. Just great. Me and ADHD. True story. Anyone have a time machine? I'd like to go back in time a year and etch that cartridge connector with the words SANTEVIA CARTRIDGE CONNECTOR so I wouldn't have thought it was a frisbee. oy vey
WARNING - WARNING!!! I can only speak about the ZEN water filter. I purchased a Zero counter top water purifier for travel. It comes with a TDS water testing meter. When I use that meter to test a cup of tap water it reads well over 400+ in contaminants. When I use the meter to test a cup of ZERO water after being filtered it reads 0. When I use the meter to test ZEN water using a BRAND NEW FILTER AND NEW CERAMIC CONE it reads nearly 400!!!! I did this over and over. I allowed more than 4 run thrus of water on the new filter and STILL IT READS NEARLY THE SAME AS TAP WATER. ZEN IS BS.
Easy to follow instructions. Great video!
I bought one it’s well worth it I’m loving mine❤ love drinking my clean water now
We're so glad your love it! 🥰
My system just arrived. Can’t wait to use it. Do I soak the ceramic filter for 10 minutes in hot or cold water?
Either temperature works!
takes like 100000 million years to filter through the ceramic prefilter
oh yeah I drink it faster than it can filter. frustrating!
Quality water that is optimized for our health takes time. Its slow, but worth the wait.

Zen! We want a close to neutral PH too. Not highly ph! Not real low acidic either.
Water from Santevia Filter tastes little salty, is it normal?
