Thanks for the interview! Yours is my favorite so far. I knew your fun demeanor would loosen me up a little. I saw it coming when you told me to "ham harder" off camera. ;-) 73! -Scott, KE4WMF
Thank you for giving him plenty of time to explain. Awesome. Also, I am so glad those roof rack cross bars had a airfoil shape... more than makes up for the drag of the antennas! ;)
Unreal radio setup back in the 70's and early 80's a few ham's around Indy had a ham shack in there cars but I have not seen any cars with multiple antenna's in a few years around Indianapolis Your system looks well laid out great job
Goosebumps es chills. LOL. I remember my 1987 Ford Ranger with a fiberglass dipole in a horizontal-L configuration with an Icom 10W mobile and a 160-watt amp for 2M with a Heath capacitive touch keyer. Oh, the memories! Cheers es 73, Davey - KU9L
Man that is a sweet set up!. The Wiring job is OCD at its best. He but some serious thought into that set up to maximize space and operating efficiency. Bud light needs to bring this dude and Andrea Slack on for the " Real Hams of Genius" commercials. The serious radio rednecks would be so torn about the awesomeness of what they do and their hang ups their heads would just explode lol.
HAHA! Yes, on my own channel, I have said that "my stealth look is blown." Back when I started my YT channel and website, I prided myself on having an inconspicuous setup that blended with its surroundings. I got bored during COVID and sort of went overboard. 🤣 73! -Scott, KE4WMF

HAHA! The aerobars are more about noise abatement than reducing drag. They're a HUGE improvement over round or square bars. 👍 de KE4WMF
This guy is crazy….in a very good way! Wohhh what a car! Tremendous learning experience. Scott, you are genius! Thanks for sharing…be safe. 73,
Thanks! I appreciate that. de KE4WMF
That is so cool and well executed. 73! - KE8QPI
Mike! Glad you did an interview with this guy. Really cool stuff and can see he loves to do quality installs. Very clean.

Great interview Mike!! 73...
WOW that car is insane!! Love that Nerd-Mobile🤓
That’s one awesome looking vehicle! A hams dream for operating on the go literally. 😂 Thanks for sharing it Mike! 73
Awesome
He does have a problem.....but we share the same problem haha!
Too cool, and it's just fun to see.
Honestly, most "porcupine" vehicles you see at hamfests are owned/driven by yahoos. This is real science, design and operation. very well done.
Wow very well thought out!

😮 Great video!!
Encourages me to get out and get my radio into the new van.
How does he afford all that. Wow awesome
Great that German Volkswagen
73´s DH1KJ Joe
You wouldn’t get away with that in uk fair play to him
He is "starting to blow it as the stealth look goes". One could say that. But only a little. LOL this is great.
He went Full Nerd! Never go Full On Nerd! ...
HAHA! Good one! de KE4WMF
Just wow
With all those radios I wonder if he sets off the Va. state police radar detector detectors?
He needs a rear cargo rack, when he is not towing, not to hold cargo but instead to create a ground plain.

"Real Hams of Genius!" I love it! 73! -Scott, KE4WMF
A Shack in a car just what Mike need
How does he keep all the chicks from just jumping in?
That’s the million dollar question isn’t it?
HAHA! The desk is a bit of a chick-stopper. My wife of 32 years can stop them cold when she's riding shotgun, too! 😉de KE4WMF
This guy is doing pota on 3 meter SSB and I can't get any one on a 2 meter repeater
Stealth GTI doesnt need home shack.. But what the police say about yours equipment ?? 73 from S51TK....
If I were single...............
Obviously, this guy's not broke... why in the world would you drive that miniaturized thing??
Edit: Oh, I see - it's a dedicated shack.
How is that stealth. Dude had a 40 foot tower on his vehicle. Lol
Well, it's not a big yellow bus...
@@hamradiotubea bus would be far less conspicuous.
