Lon... thank you for having "useful" Shorts on UA-cam. I know it's a relatively new feature, and I was very turned off by them at first. I feel this is a great informative way to use them. Thanks for all you do for the community!!!
I stick to brick and mortar stores when buying SDCards. When they go on sale, they cost little more than online, and there's pretty much zero risk of fraudulent merchandise.
@@tyr8614 - Walmart and Office Depot are going to be two great choices. I imagine that GameStop and Best Buy are fine too. And Micro Center if you're lucky enough to have one local to you. About twelve or thirteen years ago I bought a pair of PNY Micro SD cards from my local Sears when they were going out of business to use in my PSP with a Photofast adapter. They still work great today.
So loading games is "bottlenecked" a little for loading games, but what about in gameplay? Can you tell a difference between an A1 & A2? Anything else noticeable would be appreciated.
@@janX9 you can, but it comes down to the game since the new Solo leveling Arise game loads 5-10sec on a A1 card and I've seen gameplay on A2 and there is no loading, if you think those 5-10sec are nothing good luck winning a even match only to get a loading screen and can't do anything for 10sec while the boss kills you within that time

You have to copy about 1 gb of dos and win3.1 files and games to your card. When the copying is done, your card will speed up better by 7 %. You can delete the files after you are done. I measured it with Moto Racing Rivals Symbian game, best bike at 107. 1 Gb card can also do the fix. Physx turns on by Rally Fury apk, non-hc cars bump and crash to each other. Hc: cars fly around like hell. When your micro sd, sd, pendrive (needs otg and card reader w samsung phone) is fixed, you can try it with a computer or laptop. Extreme pro: the usb from 7 mb/ s jumps to 12 mb/s permanently after copying a 1 gb movie within the card from 1 folder to another. Affects all usb ports and the inbuilt card reader. The new speed works with cards that are not extreme pro.
You are doing it wrong! You need a loop! Shoot the end and the beginning in one continuous shot. Then you cut that continuous shot into your beginning and ending shots, add in whatever middle content you want, and voila! Instant perfect loop!
I Got an SanDisk Extreme Pro V30 A2 U3 . Iy mentioned speeds of 190R/200W Mbps. But when i ran Benchmark it just shows speeds of 30mbps max. Is it normal?
Yes. Assuming that your phone has a card reader, which isn't a given these days, they'll work fine. With Android phones you're given a choice to format the card as either mass storage or internal storage. Mass storage treats the card as a repository for music, pictures, and so forth and the card can be transferred between phones, or your personal computer, or whatever. Internal storage has the phone treat the card as an extension of the phone's internal memory. In addition to the above you can also save apps and other things that a phone normally saves to its own internal memory. If you choose this option then the card is encrypted just like the phone's internal memory is and you can't remove the card or reset the phone without losing everything on the card. If you format it as mass storage then you can get away with a Class A1 or one that doesn't even have an A-rating. One of those with just a "10" inside a circle will be more than good enough. The intent of the A rating is to show you how fast it is with opening apps. If you don't have apps installed to it then it doesn't matter. If you're going to use it as internal storage then absolutely pay up to get an A2. You can get away with an A1, but, the price gap is so little that this is one time where skimping isn't worth it. A couple of seconds here and a couple of seconds there don't sound like much; but, over the lifetime of the card you'll end up spending a whole extra day of your life just staring at loading screens. I'd rather spend an extra $5 up front and get the faster one. Also; there's no real difference between a "gaming" Micro SD card and a normal Micro SD card from the same brand with the same specs. It's just decoration. So, get the one that cheapest.
Any idea on moving a game save from 1 sd card to another? Half way through a baldur's gate 3 108GB Download atm. I would like to move this to my 1TB sd card ASAP. Anyone know if this is possible on the steam deck?
Performance is worse on sd cards for a lot of games and the steam deck already has a lot of trouble with baldurs gate 3 so you should just keep it on your SSD
Not good options for memory card on steam deck...because this is not good work for windows some days good work but till 5-7days after croupted data...i thnk extrnl ssd is a good option...
If the SD card or micro SD reader port is available then yes, otherwise you may need a USB SD card adapter as @PrimzKing_EditZ mentions. But for any prolonged/dedicated use an SSD or HDD is better, with an SSD being the 'preferable' option between the 2 with regards to performance/speed. SD Cards are much cheaper options but that comes with limitations. If those limitations don't affect your use case then go right ahead and get a good quality SD/micro SD card and possibly a USB SD card reader if need be.
Do anyone here know the Nintendo Switch licensed SanDisk microSD card is A1 or A2? It supose to be a rebadged SanDisk Extreme microSD card but depend on whether it's old or new version and the A standard speed is different I think
