It’s lovely but your are certainly paying for it, these cars are so overpriced the majority of people can’t afford them especially ones with family’s. This is why I think the Dacia bigster will take a lot of sales from this especially if it starts around low £20k mark yes the interior is definitely not the same quality and likely not as fast but if it undercuts this by £15,000-£20,000 it’s worth a look
I have genuinely heard the bigster could be closer to 40!! which is worrying, I agree with you.
Don't worry. With the car market returning to normal families will be able to buy a three year old one of these for £20K in 2027.

I owned a Kodiaq for four years and it was excellent in every way but this revamp has really taken it to another level. I like every single one of the improvements and really like the rear side window treatment!
A great quick view of the new Kodiaq Tish. I really like the outgoing model but this new one makes the old one look quite dated. The changes are more revolutionary than evolutionary and I think it looks all the better for it, less boxy on the outside but still functional on the inside. It's worth noting that this model, like other manufacturers is the top of the range for a show model. I have to take my hat off to Skoda for keeping some of the physical knobs and buttons and not blindly following some other members of the VW group with just a touch screen. This new design could also give us an idea of what the next generation Karoq will look like in a year or so time. Many thanks for sharing.

Some 10 yrs ago this presentation might create some interest, but new old Skoda Kodiaq has nothing much to impress. Simple Joseph Kaban old cosmetics with degrading quality of power train and overall finishes. Price is also a step back factor comparing to competition. I owned a brand new Superb for more than a decade and things were OK with some issues (full suspension replaced in 2000 km / excessive oil consumption / ..) discussed with top decision makers from Skoda, but not much solved. When you are constantly ignoring Skoda owners might not expect them to come back.

Hi Tish - most high-end leather for cars (Aston, Jaguar, Range Rover etc..) is actually produced sustainably in Scotland. At Bridge of Weir leather. It is produced from hides from animals that have been slaughtered for food consumption. If these hides were not made into leather, they would take decades to degrade in landfill. Animals are not bred and slaughtered to be made into leather.
The vegan and anti leather fools have allowed lies to be spread. Those who love leather or work with leather all attest to the fact, of “animals are never killed wholly for the leather”
There will be a Kodiaq vRS coming later on with a 2.0-litre engine with 272PS. As a reminder, the previous Kodiaq vRS petrol has 245PS.

I do like that interior and the boot space is impressive. My only concern is the sheer size of the vehicle, the hassle of needing a parking spot with nobody too close etc.

Great review Tish. Skoda are so good at squeezing extra room in a vehicle and it has a classier interior than the outgoing version.
They are not squeezing any room into the vehicle. On the contrary, they allow the interior of the vehicle to inflate further out into the outer space. ;-)
that is a very good observation. The thing I noticed that this car has really utilized its space very well. I mean the exterior styling is very standard to say. But the spacing inside is well done. And the extra space at the back ? Brilliant. Means you can always tuck that extra luggage at the back for the long trip. Must be expensive though. Its interesting how these upper economy brands are now competing with luxury brands. As the consumer becomes more self aware and chooses utility over brand name in car you might see a merging of brands into becoming a category. The category is guess is now the luxury.
Skoda cars are starting to outdo the main VW cars now... Also people seem to like skodas more than VW when on the road.....I'd definitely buy a skoda over the VW badged cars etc

What a massive but beautiful car. But why oh why are they building diesel cars? Despite this I just love how Skoda improve everything on the equivalent VW cars. Great review as usual
because in europe people still want diesel as they last long miles and have better fuel mileage.
Diesel is way more fuel efficient and affordable, especially here in the Caribbean.
Why not diesel? Fun fact ,cruise ships will use 80,000 gallons a day!! More then a car driver could use in a life time.
Diesel is a great option for so many. I fell for the hype about ev's, had one for 3 years, so so glad to be shot of it and now back to petrol and changing back to diesel in new year. Full circle. Thankfully new diesel models are still being made although not as many but this could increase as EV legislation keeps getting put back.
Long live diesel 🎉… never will get electric

Skoda have come lightyears from the days of the jokes they were in the 70's. I can picture the new Kodiaq in black which would look awesome. The interior is beautiful. Again who would have thought in the 70's you would be saying about a Skoda! One thing that wasn't featured and was wondering if it still had it was the pop out tow hitch? What a great idea that is if you tow regularly. Another great review Tish.
It has a tow hitch that is hidden under the car and pops out with a button from the boot

The multi function dials are a sensationally good idea.
I again wonder why make such a big family car and then have what looks like a tiny middle seat, which you do fail to talk about again. How does a huge car like this raise the bar when it really only seats 4 people in comfort?
this one is top notch L&K line, extra pricey, that's why the interior is so nice.
Skoda has actually taken a BMW kidney look and split head lights, and cleaned it up :-)

I think the 2.0L engine doesn't have mild hybrid technology

Enjoyed the video. I recently viewed all the Skoda range at the dealers, as I’m looking to renew my car soon. As a former yellow patrol of 28 years, can I say I hardly ever went to a new Skoda breakdown. The styles and quality of build in the new range are very good indeed. I have been to see several other well known brands and found Skoda well above a lot of them. To think back 15/20 years ago they were tin boxes filled with plastic. Wow, wow Skoda how they have improved. Do we now rank them among the prestige brands 🤔👌
Waiting to see what the infotainment options are like. I had one of the first kodiaq and have switched around since 2017,and the new model looks interesting.
Hopefully the old columbus system has been fully replaced.

11:10 Really 😂 nice 👍 SUV, both interior and exterior. Especially love 💕 the seats,sporty and looks quite comfortable, dashboard is a bit simplistic, but attractive enough, very spacious and roomy. This is a good 👍 buy. Really love 💕😘 it.

VAG still does not understand full HEV is the way to go. PHEV is heavy and unpractical. MHEV just doesn’t add anything to a regular ICE.

@@AutoSocialUK We are in a CO2 famine - the atmosphere has had more CO2 in most of the last 500 million yrs up to 8,000PPM Plants grow better with more CO2 (Dr Will Happer.)
Low CO2 at 400ppm is an anomaly compared to the past 500 million years. It is virtual insanity to try to maintain an anomaly in a system rather than the norm.
If the carbon dioxide level drops any further all plants will begin to die. Followed by YOU.

It’s weird how the differentiation between Skoda, VW and Audi diminishes with each generation. Its almost as if it were one giant company sharing platforms and technology… um hang on a minute!
I guess, you either like/dislike Skoda. Personally, not for me, though I'm sure as the previous generation of Kodaiq, it will have a small segment of the SUV market with its entry price point. Great review as always, thank-you.

When it comes to engines etc Skoda are the same as most VAG cars. I'm surprised about the climate controls though. I thought you had buy an Audi to get sensible ones on a VAG car these days.
I have owned a Skoda Superb know have just ordered the new Kodiaq it looks fantastic can't fault the finish of the cars.

We were also very interested in the new Kodiaq. If I understood correctly, there is all-wheel drive OR plug-in hybrid - unfortunately.
Skoda is pronounced as Shkoda. Not S, but SH.
Better to know if you specialize in cars.
I love the Range Roverish rear end, classic and elegant design. It would be great if more and more cars are like that.

Hi, great review! Covered everything that needed to be covered without using any terms a common person won't understand! What are your thoughts about the colour - since the one they are showing in brochures is more yellow compared to a bronze- green-gold seen here.
great quick review of the new model (interior is great), but they need to get rid of gloss black plastic entirely, exterior version will scratch on first drive/wash! interior versions just scratch easy, come on use some thing better inside, like a matt wood that Mazda use. welcome proper interior controls in VAG cars, after their dumb touch button ideas.

I like this interior. Really good Skoda have kept the well designed manual climate controles. Skoda, and VW as well should do the same on all of their EV´s
Stop all this sustainable and eco nonsense. Whilst celebrities fly everywhere, drive 5L cars and have yachts ; there is no issue or such a problem as climate crisis. Give up on the stupid messaging.
