Anniversary Celebration Ideas for Foodies (15 Years)

- 15 years goes by fast. And we wanted to take on along on our journey, which is a simple yet fun way to spend any special day like an anniversary.
What did we do? For those know us well, you already know that it revolves around food.
So our anniversary idea was to eat out at 3 different places for our 15 year anniversary.

Here's our journey below:
We started out by going over the bridge to downtown St Pete (we live in Seffner, which is an outskirt of Brandon, FL).
Our first stop was Flip Crepes and Waffles in Central Avenue in downtown St Pete. We love crepes and this place lived up to our expectations!
- Candy had their smores crepe with a latte
- Jason had their nutella with strawberries and banana crepe with Americano coffee
By the way, yes, we often do dessert first.
After crepes, we walk not even a block away on Central Ave to a Thai restaurant called Bangkok Thai and Sumo Sushi Restaurant (we believed this used to be called 9 Bangkok Thai and Sushi).
This is a really awesome and yummy place. And they actually brought us two appetizers each after telling them how much we loved it. They're appetizer consists of an egg roll with dipping sauce and a traditional Thai soup called 'moo saap' which means minced pork. This is mixed with rice and broth.
For the main course:
- Candy had their garlic chicken dish
- Jason as their chicken panang curry
This was our first time at both Flip Crepes and Waffles and Bangkok Thai and Sumo Sushi Restaurant in St Pete, downtown.
We headed back home after that to rest up and feed Frodo, our piebald doxie, our cat Big Kitty, and take care of our feral cats, who come and go.
Then we decided to get back on the road for dinner. This time, we picked a restaurant in South Tampa called Bella's Italian Cafe. We've been here severals and love it, and it's the perfect place for am anniversary dinner (or any occasion).
- Candy had their pollo milano (chicken in roasted garlic sauce and heavy cream)
- Jason had their pollo parmigiana (chicken parm)
We must point out that our server was amazing and so kind. After learning that it was our anniversary, she brought out the crème brûlée we ordered with two candles. It's those extra little things that can make a huge difference.
We got back home only to find that Frodo had tried to get into the big bag of cat food. Fortunately, he wasn't able to rip it open. But dogs, especially dachshunds, and especially Frodo, love cat food.

Happy anniversary guys! My wife and I started dating July 29 of 2008 so we too have 15 years. Although we didn’t do the cool stuff y’all did. Love the channel!

Try the Queen of Sheba restaurant in Tampa, Ethiopian cuisine its quite good!

Congrats! Great food choices too. Bella's is awesome I've eaten there a bunch of times when I lived down there. Theres isn't to much foodie stuff here in Citrus county Florida and I miss Tampa area for that reason. We have one great Cajun restaurant and a Thai restaurant and nextdoor to the Thai place is a Filipino/Asian market take away place.

Yeah Tampa and St Pete have really grown and we’ve seen more mom n pop restaurants open! Love asian markets, too! So many ingredients you can’t find in normal grocery stores
