When it comes to prepaid gift cards, the best deal is at Navy Federal. No purchase fees or other fees as long as the card is used at least once per year. You don’t have to register them, but if you do and they are lost or stolen, Navy Federal will refund the balance on the card (as long as you let NFCU know of the loss within 3 days). Amazon has an asthma inhaler for sale at $75 for three months with insurance and the same inhaler at $1200 for three months without insurance. I have four different kinds of health insurance but because after 38 years my inhaler went generic, Part D will no longer cover the inhaler I need to breathe so I have to pay the uninsured price or go without. Why do we allow this to happen? PS- I used to get the same inhaler for $10 from Mexico but my friend who went there four times every year just to buy her medicine died.
I find I now do most of my shopping at Costco now. Finding stuff on Temu that has been marked up on Amazon. I don't even bother with Walmart anymore. Their prices are like Target now. At least I can get grest service and get discounts at Target. It's also cleaner. Less drama.

One nice benefit of having your home insured is that they will provide expensive lawyers to deal with someone that sues you for injury on your property. Some people will sue you for astronomical sums if they are injured on your property, even if the injury is their own fault and not severe. Twice I have been provided with an attorney to deal with a lawsuit, and attorney services would not have been cheap if I were paying. Both times I easily prevailed, but it was nice not having to foot the bill for my defense.
I find it very beneficial to have my credit scores in the 800's, so I get among the best terms for my homeowner's & auto insurances, loan, and the best credit cards for cash back and discounts. On my cash back I get a mix of 2%, 3%, and 5 percent. While those who have substantial credit balances dread to see their credit card statements, get your balance down then you will begin to like seeing your statements. A customer with a credit score in the 800's is considered to be the better risk. What I learned from this show is, I will consider raising my deductibles.
in my experience though, Walmart is cheaper than Amazon. Amazon is getting more expensive than buying from grocery store. It used to be fun to find same things were cheaper on amazon. That time is over.
Insurance companies blighting areas is not new. I was a full lines agent in the 70s. There were many areas that we just did not bother writing auto or homeowners because we knew underwriting would reject the application. They will only accept a certain amount of risk.

saying I won't buy something, but it will be something I have already considered and know i want and if a deal comes around then I get it. I always wait a few days or even longer for something I really want because I just can't justify the full price. I also don't replace stuff just because there is a new and better version. I keep things until unusable. Now on the rare case that I do impulse buy which may be 2 or 3 times a year that impulse buy will be under $10, if more I have to think, do I really want it, and will I use it moremthan one or two times.
Home Ins Co's have a deal now if you pay your premium and sign a form that you will never turn in a claim they will insure you might as well most of the home Ins Co's have not been paying storm claims or short paying especially in Florida
😲 Not sure how a company could legally get away with making you sign a form to never make a claim, since the whole insurance contract is based on you paying them for financial compensation if the need arises; and they’ve agreed to cover the particular type of event in question. What is a customer paying for, if they sign something like that? Sounds like a scam. 💚

Hey Clark- how about doing a show concerning the rash of land property thefts of the Titles that have been reported in and around the Atlanta metro area. People that pay off their mortgages are having their properties stolen from them without notice. Would it be advisable if property owners purchase Title insurance to protect their titles to their properties or are those who market Titlelock or Homelock suitable products to protect against Title theft? I appreciate your research and hope that you will do a show on this subject. Thank you!
It has been discussed on the show as an Ask Clark (I'll try to find the episode for you). Everyone should buy an owner’s title insurance policy. This is the best financial protection for your home title. Titlelocks and Homelocks are monitoring services. All they are going to do is alert you, if there's any activity against your title. But they can't protect you. Here's more information: clark.com/insurance/owners-title-insurance/ Hope this helps! 💚
I live in an RV 5th. Wheel not motorhome. I have now for 30 years. I am also knowledgeable in cable TV systems. I can tell you that a great majority of RVs will have coax cables that have not properly had the ends put on. That is not an issue for analog TV but for HIDef it is. I get calls of TV issues all the time. 95% are issues with the RV. I know that is not a big deal but just something to be aware of. Now a big deal I can guarantee that 90% or more of RVs have or will encounter a leak. It could be anything. Maybe lose faucet connections. Check any you can access regularly, Just reach under the sinks and tighten. That is just normal from vibrating going down the road. The next leak is leaks from rain. Very common, that is the 90%. I have been in RV after RV and all of them in one way or another have soft spots in the floors. A common area is on the sides of the slides. The water will run down the walls, settle around the metal piece of trim that seals the flooring. There are 2 and 3 inch wide tapes they use on roofs. Get some and cover those areas asap. Other leaks come from roof, it could be vents, ac units antennas just about anything. And just because it is coming in at the rear does not mean that is where the leak is. My last 5th I bought had a bad spot in the floor., I knew it, it was used, I knew I could fix the floor, have done it before. I had an idea where the leak was and did eventually find it, but it did take me 6 months to pinpoint it. Turned out to be a rain gutter that was 2mm shy of tight fit and a missed spot of caulk. Simple fix hard find. After fixed I put $300 in the floor and now I am happy with it. Now this was not a cheap unit. You can still buy some cheepies for what this one costs years ago. But this unit now 5th wheel no motor or drive train would cost 100k or more. I always buy older slightly used. These things depreciate faster than cars. One last thing to think about is, if you plan to full time live in one or just winter in one, many places now that are quality places to stay will require your unit to be no older than 10 years. Hope this helps someone know what to expect. But once you have a good one and are setup in a place they usually allow it to stay. As for the people. At least 50 percent but probably closer to 90 percent of people will talk to you.

What I have found recently with Wal-Mart they push same or next day delivery when you add in the delivery fee and the TIP it wants you to add it winds up costing more than Amazon and get it in a few days.
💯 True! There's a difference between "delivery" and "shipping." Delivery is when someone shops the shelves for you and brings the items to you in a few hours. So there's usually a delivery fee, and you're tipping for the service. If you select "shipping" instead, it usually ships to you from the warehouse via a postal carrier in a few days. Many times, the retailer will offer free shipping. If you don't need it immediately, choose "shipping" and compare to Amazon. 💚

I find it extremely hard to believe that insurance companies are losing money, at least [primarily] due to paying out claims. Maybe they should slow it down with their ridiculous, celebrity-laden advertisements. Just a thought.
Insurance companies don't make money directly from what you pay for coverage. Instead, they invest that money in the stock market to have a backup in case of big claims. When the money they make from those investments goes down, they often raise everyone's payments to make up for possible future losses. One big problem is that they don't always tell customers about this. Sometimes, they're too focused on getting new customers from other companies and offer low rates at the beginning, but this can cause financial issues later. Customers often feel tricked because the first rates seem great, but when it's time to renew, the real cost shows up, and it's higher. The companies use higher renewal prices to make customers leave, especially if they see you're costing them more each year. That's why sticking with one insurance company for a long time might not be a good idea. After about five years, they might see you as less profitable and use higher renewal prices or even stop renewing your policy to make you leave, if they can do that legally.
With auto insurance, the cost of parts and service is escalating up so high it's just passed on to the insurance company and then to the consumer. The (forced) "switchover" to EVs by legislation leaves no option but for Auto manufacturers to raise prices to just stay in business into the future. This in turn raises prices to the consumer on service, insurance, just the cost of buying a new car, etc.
The issue is when is it going to naturally correct and implode in order to make Insurance more “affordable”?. Insurance as a consumer commodity rarely will retract in price. Wifey and I are both in the mid-800s credit score and both our auto and our homeowners insurance Almost doubled in just a years time while our wages? did not. But there is negligible if not any “inflation”?….🤯😜😂
Only time will tell. In the meantime, shopping around and forcing insurance companies to beat your current price will help (many will ask what you're currently paying). 💚

Clark the insurance companies are lying when it comes to actual losses in the automotive sector. For example if a person with farmers insurance causes a accident with someone with Allstate then Allstate will make their insured whole but they don't go after farmers for their losses the meat with them about other accidents even in other states with similar costs and say ok this is a wash they don't keep sending money back and forth with each claim. But on paper its called a loss.
My home insurance increased only $69 for this year. But my car insurance went up 25%. One car is a high theft Hyundai. So I'm being forced to sell it, because other companies won't insure it at all. Plus it is depreciating at an accelerated rate because it is in the high theft category. Won't buy from Hyundai or Kia ever again. Haven't had a car payment in 7 years. Yuck. Carvana still pays the most (20% more) than CarMax or dealers.

Now, 3 years later the new coverage has gone up substantially but is still $240 a year less. USAA has great customer service but not good enough to make up for the difference.
@@cynthiabonds8626i had an accident with an underinsured driver involving 4 cars. It was his fault. He was charged. But he did not have enough coverage to cover all the losses so my USAA had to pay the difference on my behalf, about $3000. I called and was assured my premium would not go up be cause of this. It did, for the next three years. I had to change carriers.
Attach a magnet to a ribbon or string. Works perfect!
we laughed at the "stud finder " joke! hihi
you have to use the gift card as credit before swiping, if you use as debit there will be a surcharge
Also, because you get them at the bank, there’s no risk of the money being drained before you obtain them.
Less drama.
I try not to shop on my off days from work, I try to buy gas only when my gas tank is at half full, but I go and buy when I get off from work. I'm usually off at least three to four days.
Great strategy, Clarkie! 🙌
Chewy only uses FedEx for delivery...I don't like getting packages in the middle of the driveway, so I found better services
Why do you advocate the Roth over the Trad IRA?
I have usaa in texas had a 50% increase you for home owners insurance
I'm gonna shop around. I now pay what a 20 year old with a DUI on their record used to pay
Good point that we don't automatically think about! 🙌
BRANDI was smart!
Way to go, Clarkie! 👏👏👏
My credit rating is zero. I am very proud of that. I have no debt. I do not use credit cards. My home is paid for, my 32 year old truck is paid for.
in my experience though, Walmart is cheaper than Amazon.
About the Visa MasterCard BS. AT&T sent me a refund for some illegal things that they charged their patrons for. I received the card I activated by computer but when I used the card at Walmart, the card was declined because nothing was on the card. Just send a paper check. Do we need to start another class action lawsuit because the attorney did not do as they were put in charge to do, the attorney was CROWE
Found battery transfer pump $20 at ACE hardware Amazon and Walmart $30 for same exact item. Walmart or Amazon are not the cheapest for some things got to shop around.
saying I won't buy something, but it will be something I have already considered and know i want and if a deal comes around then I get it.
This is the way to do it, Clarkie! 🙌
I ended up stuck with one of those cards I bought from CVS. The manager there told me I was stuck with it. There was no way I was giving them all that personal information so I threw it away. As far as I'm concerned CVS scammed me.
I do like to buy Arco gift cards. I get 2% back when I buy with my credit card, then get the cash price at the pump. Haven't had a problem-yet.
Some people try to get paid for the same damage repeatedly.
Here's more information: clark.com/insurance/owners-title-insurance/
Hope this helps! 💚
@@Clark Thank you!
Good info! Thanks for sharing! 💚

Actually this was suppose to go to a different video. So it seems out of place here. I was typing when the other video ended and it must have went here.
Anyway glad you found it helpful.
Walmart shipping is free
I hope that the delivery drivers don’t start wanting tips. It seems like everyone else wants one now.😂
Had over 500.00 gift cards from Walmart...00 balance. I was heart broken..bday and christmas gifts from my famiy. I buy aldi cards for myself. Never a problem with them.
Scams
💔
Aldi and Lidl put effort into something. I lived for 8 years in Germany and I never noticed that either ever put any effort into anything.
$6.482 Billion was spent in 2022 by insurance companies on ADVERTISING just by the 10 largest spenders. Their cute little ads should make your wallet burn
😲 Wow, thanks for fact checking!
I just sold my car.Because I wanted to cut costs. PlusI live in a city .The money you save is unreal. After the car payment were gone. I Saves over 3 hundreds dollars
Amazon website is friendly!
Great tip, Clarkie! 🙌
There’s NO forced switch to EV. Stop listening to Rethuglicans and MAGA m.o.r.o.n.s.

No waste wages Wednesday I like better… No wages Wednesday sounds like I skipped work!
Yes, "any ol' studfinder" would've done the trick.
At 60, I have to go back to work to afford insurance.
No one ever needs a stud finder. All you need is a tape measure to find studs.
I bought a refurbished phone through Amazon. Turns out the phone had been blacklisted by the cell phone company. The one time I don't buy a refurbished phone using my trusted technique using eBay....🤬. Got a refund. Warned everyone never buy refurbished anything through Amazon.

My wife must have used a stud finder when she found me.
“No funds Friday” sounds too much like No Fun Friday.
💯💯😂 True!
No spending no fun!😊
I don't trust the random Amazon sellers. There are so many counterfeit items on Amazon and Walmart online.
Costco is almost always cheaper than Amazon or Walmart.
Imagine the catastrophe awaiting Florida when the next major hurricane hits a densely populated area of uninsured properties.
That would be very sad. 😢
💔
My home insurance increased only $69 for this year. But my car insurance went up 25%. One car is a high theft Hyundai. So I'm being forced to sell it, because other companies won't insure it at all. Plus it is depreciating at an accelerated rate because it is in the high theft category. Won't buy from Hyundai or Kia ever again. Haven't had a car payment in 7 years. Yuck. Carvana still pays the most (20% more) than CarMax or dealers.

I find ALDI cheaper than Wal-Mart.
Amazon versus Walmart segment. Very disappointing.
