I’m so glad I found all the valuable advice you share across your platforms. I am an avid listener daily and love them all. I didn’t know where else to share this feedback but your website is amazing! It’s so intuitive, clean, and one of the best sites to look for info. Whoever designed your website deserves kudos….it’s very user friendly!!
I have used Bill Pay through my Credit Union since they started the service and have never had an issue. I must be the exception 😂. I do love your show and look forward to it now that I found it. Enjoy your extra time off on Wednesdays
I’ve dealt with buying and selling vehicles in Florida, California, Utah, and Texas. All require the sellers of vehicles to report the sale to the DMV within 30 days. Doing this is the “release of liability” procedure mentioned.
I don't use bank bill pay much any longer because it's better to automate payments from the cc company. Debits a day or two after my scheduled due date and never fails
I use my credit card to pay my annual property tax and auto/home insurance. I do use my credit union auto bill pay for my monthly household bills like cellphone, electric, natgas, and other utilities. The local gas, electric, water, internet, etc. companies are in my bill pay account. The credit union has some sort of direct link with them so never any issues.
Regarding unsolicited Amazon packages. Just leave it out, set up cameras and let the thieves get them. Then, send the photos to the cops, and post on all social media.
RE: rental cars in Scotland. Rent from Arnold Clark. They're 10 minutes form Glasgow airport, and they will come pick you up if you ask nicely 😊 Also, you guys need to research how to pronounce Edinburgh
#BonusThought - If your home insurer non-renews, and you never filed a claim, it seems like you should get some sort of refund. There's no perfect solution... and insurers will fight this, but something must be done. If you were a great customer for 20 yr and the insurer dumped you, It's like a divorce with no splitting of the assets. #ClarkRocks
Wow! Guess I’ve been paying bills safely by going to the bill’s website and paying the bill there. Never did trust a bank’s bill pay enough to pay via bill pay. Though, until I heard this today I thought the bank’s bill pay service was safer. Not aware a third party vendor operated it. Would it be safer still to pay through the bill’s app on my phone or iPad rather than the bill’s online site? Also, I pick up my statement’s online - would it be safer to do that on the app?
We historically recommended bill pay as the best option because your banking information was less at risk (you don’t need to give your bank account number to anyone), and this fact still remains true. However, in more recent times we've been hearing more & more from our Clarkies, like Robert, that banks are either over-drafting accounts (fees) or missing payment deadlines (credit score drop). So we've changed our advice. Either the bill's app or website is fine. They both have pros & cons, not one over the other. 💚
WHY isn't Sams Club trying to truly COMPETE with COSTCO?? No Insurance, No car buying, No Precious Metal buying etc. etc.. ? Clarks Opinion? I'm ready to leave the Sam's Club ship...!
Good grief I can't imagine why anybody would pay a bill a few days before it's due. Electronic payment or not that's ridiculous and demonstrates irresponsibility. A bill should be paid on the very same day you are aware of what the balance is.
People who pay on or a few days before the due date reap the same benefits as people who pay immediately when they receive the bill. The danger zone is after the due date. 💚
I look forward to stock crashes. All of my tech stocks pay good dividends. Just means cheaper stock price and more shares purchased during monthly/quarterly dividend payout and automatic reinvesting with compounding.
Clark Howard has wealth of knowledge that he has inquire for decades i always listened to him on radio when he had the broadcast
Such a treat to listen to Clark. He does have a wealth of knowledge - love listening to him while walking my dog

Thanks for sharing your experience! 💚
You can efile in texas. It takes one minute.
When did this start? "Release of liability"

Bill pay question - How about if the bill pay are sending your payment electronically to the company? Does that make a difference in this discussion?

As a New York Giants fan I have to say I didn't mind watching the Patriots and the Giants play the super bowl twice. 😅
🏈🏈💚
Especially since we won em both!
I gained a lot of respect for Tom Brady after that superbowl.
She was right to protest the bill. You can request a copy of the office notes that are part of your medical record and dispute the charges
Even if there is a charging station no guarantee it will be free for you to use, is working, etc.
Outstanding show.
👋 We haven't seen a comment from you in a while. 💚
I usually just buy from Amazon, and not third party.
"Making three figures now..."? What does that mean? I assume that they meant six figures?

Quote sure you are right.

Yep, just happened to me after 17 years with the same company - home and auto!!!!😢

Stay away from any “advisor.”
Another great show!
Robert - YOU are the problem, not any bank. Learn how to pay your bills.
