Basketball is like a cheetah where football is like a gorilla. Two elites of nature, two different skill sets.
No track is like a cheetah
There's absolutely guys in the NBA who have the explosiveness, coordination and physicality to play in the NFL IF they chose that (NOBODY plays in the NFL unless there in it 100%) it's just far and few between.
Most NBA dudes been molding a skillset since elementary school that allows them to handle, shoot, fly and run around traffic in such a specific way. Also, they been trained in how to take a foul and make it look like a drive by just happened lmao I don't believe half those dudes are really getting affected like they act when they take a charge. One thing I will say is even the superstars be actin like war veterans just to get some load management. So that football mindset is a whole different animal.
Anyway, tell me your favorite team signs Zion Williamson to play on the line and you wouldn't get excited too

Everybody is forgetting how thick an NFL playbook is. Also they dont have the luxury of playing indoors.

There is some NBA players that probably could have played in the NFL if they chose to be a football player at a younger age ( thinking like a Russell Westbrook) but just dudes deciding to join the NFL at age 25 just because ain't going to happen. They would get dominated.

There’s no load management, no flopping, and the most overlooked aspect is NFL players play in cold, snow, elevation, wind, rain, heat, etc.
In totality, NBA players would be better at playing football than NFL players playing basketball.

The question should be, can nba players play mlb games since mlb players practically play double the amount of games compared to the nba? The current nba players already complain about playing 82 games, the nba players would be complaining more if they played 162 games instead of 82 games. Baseball is barely physical but they do play everyday so the nba players should be lucky that they are not playing 162 games but 82 games instead.
If someone think players from different sport go and play in other sports, let me tell you they will be disillusioned.

basketball players would be able to play ONE snap, because after that first hit that is what would happen to their body, it would get snapped
