The very first thing I said when I played the game was when I used the portable miner. "that animation is INCREDIBLE" I literally picked it up to use it again. Props to this guy!
I can't really understand how only one person could do such a great work with all that nice animated things in the game. Thought it would be the biggest department in the studio because the animations are so outstanding in comparison to AAA games to such a "small little sweet indie" game. Thank you all very much and i'm really looking forward to see more of that great work!

whatever theyre paying Kristoffer, it isnt enough! They roll out updates and experimental builds like nobody ever sleeps, so far its one of the best early release games ive ever played. Keep up the amazing work guys!
It must be very satisfying to see players' reactions to the animations, especially the epic space elevator.

Also Kristoffer, if you are the man behind the Stinger animations, you are the cause of many many nightmares.
I've been following satisfactory dev for quite some while now, I'm also a dev and really like the way you guys make these community videos. Awesome work, kristoffers's animations are really top notch, it's really a challenge to make good fpv ones and those really have that special polish on them. Keep up the good work
I loved the buildup animation of the gigantic space elevator !
Interesting to hear the hooks were something they just quickly threw in there, because the second best part of placing one down (after the construction build up) is watching those lock into place; really makes it believable that a gigantic cable just descended from space and that's how it could function in real life. Awesome work by the animator(s) at Coffee Stain!

The biggest thing that stood out for me were the insane animations. I thought it was motion capture, it looks so real! The way the machines work, especially the space elevator connecting and the way the small drill deploys are amazing. The amount of memes, stereotypes and easter eggs are excellent, like the ninja run, lizard doggo, and solitaire/chats/tools on the HAB desktop. You are amazing at what you do, please keep it up!

Love these cute little details. That's always what makes a well crafted game so special compared to other titles.
Thanks for all the time you put into crafting these neat little gestures (like when using tools for the first time, pulling out the xeno basher, being ran over by a truck - all these little things).
Also can't wait for the nuclear reactor to finally be in the game! The footage you guys came up with looks already amazing! I wanna pet its stell plates
Ive gone to school for animation and worked in the industry for a short time and I can tell you Kristoffer is a god among men 100%. NEVER GET RID OF HIM

It's always illuminating and inspiring listening to a master craftsman talk about their work.
I've mentioned this to some friends while playing recently, I _love_ how you get the feeling of actual weight behind your animations, notably on the handles you pull when getting out of the drop pod. Amazing work!
Kudos for the space elevator deployment animation, it's fucking awesome
Love all the animations. Especially the little wrench on the basher. Also Kristoffer, the little clap animation has become a wide spread meme at the logistics department in IKEA. I really need to film it some day..

The quality of the animations was one of the first things that really got my interest me and I'm shocked to know that there is only one animator involved :O
My Favorite animation is the cable hooking up to the Space Elevator base station. Really amazing work on the secondary animation for something so heavy, especially something which we don't really have comparable reference for.

The space elevator is by far the coolest animation for me. I probably pulled it up, and put it back down at least 5 times to watch it over and over. Really cool stuff, And fantastic work Kristoffer.
Just came here to tell you that i could watch the portable miners animations all day, smooth af.
Very glad this was posted. The animations and environment are one of my favorite parts of this amazing game. I can't get enough of watching the miner deploy, the pod flying, and the machines in general. They are so very well done it is truly fun to simply watch them... it add so much reality and fun to the game. GREAT JOB Kristoffer, and everyone on the team!
I would assume it was your animating that brings the buildings to life, but I've spent more time than I care to admit watching the assembler do it's thing. It's mesmerizing to say the least, but the best part is the timing behind them. The animation plays, the part finishes, and as the assembler sets the finished part down on the conveyor it pops out of the output. That's a level of detail I've not seen before. Huge props to you my guy.

The animations really impressed me when I played in the Alpha weekend. They are one of my favourite parts of the game. Thanks for all the effort put into them!
Really glad to see the mind behind the animations...there have been few games where I've been so keenly delighted by so many little animation touches. Especially when you could've so easily taken an easier route since it's all just cold and lifeless industrial stuff...you gave each little part so much life!

Oh wow, all those animations in previous games was your work, too? That's incredible! I've always admired all the little details you put into the machines, both in Satisfactory and Sanctum, all the little moving parts and such that make them feel so detailed and intricate. And as hasty as you make the Space Elevator launch sequence sound, it really is amazing to watch it go. (Honestly, it's almost a shame I get to push the button so infrequently.) The Portable Miner robots, all the flashy and detailed movements you do with the tools you hold... it's honestly incredible to see all those details and effort you put into each movement. Very excited to see what you bring to life in future updates. :D

The animation is some of the most awesome thinks in Satisfactory! I always stop and watch the animation when placing new things and I look for the small details, like the eyes on the drill and the random landing the pod does, so it's not just a perfect straight landing. One time I spend over 15 minutes just bobbing the key hangers on the weapons and following the cute doggo, just to see what it would do! 10/10 hit on the personality in the animations.

I freaking love the animations in this game, and that little electric car... and the character sludged in behind the wheel, damn that made me laugh, and when i put on the siren... i lost it completely

It clearly needs to be emphasized that Kristoffer does *fantastic* work. His mentioning of the portable miner is a fantastic example! It IS a device he managed to give life / a personality, so much to the point that I love watching every one that I put down. The space elevator is also a particular beauty in regard to both animation and sound design. It also sounds like he seems unsure about the elevator activation sequence, but I'd like to dispel that. I personally *love* it, even if he feels it was something he just slapped together. Hell, just the other day, I wanted to look up some videos of the space elevator deploying and firing off for the sole purpose of watching and listening to it because it's FUCKING AWESOME. Not just in the sense that it looks cool, but that it genuinely inspires awe.
You guys are doing a fantastic job, and Satisfactory is already one of my favorite games yet. The only thing I find annoying is that overclocking percentages can only be integers! Manufacturers don't produce/require whole numbers of items per minute, and every time I do the math for overclocking manufacturers and associated constructors and assemblers, I need to use decimals/doubles, not ints! It makes me sad I need to round up every time D:

My group of friends and I picked up Satisfactory during last weekend's Epic sale and we could not stop talking about how amazing the animations were in this game. They are leaps and bounds better than even the AAA game titles out there. Keep up the great work and thank you for the continued content updates!

Love the animations of this game. The way the monsters walk. The machines operating. The little key hanging on the Xeno Basher. The suspension of the Xplorer. It's all great attention to detail. I just wish the power slugs would try to put up more of a fight. ;)

The portable miner face and walk is still my favorite! I'd love some more Alternates or easter eggs as well! U know sometimes the miner takes a step left or right to get to a better spot etc
When I saw the animations in the game for the first time, especially those of the machines, I was there for minutes and was just watching. Satisfying
I'm not sure if this is the best avenue to say this so Kristoffer sees, but Satisfactory's animations give this game am immense sense of polish, character, and charm. Every time I get something new, like the Xeno Basher, I just marvel at the animations for ages. I genuinely love the passion put into this, animations make a HUGE impact and from what I saw in the game so far, I expected at least 3-4 animators if not more, this absolutely blows my mind.
This guy is my hero! Somebody give him a raise! I love animation quality and all those small details. It's just amaizing.

EDIT: I personally love the love to the detail, be it the "Naruto"-running or the little personalities. Makes the game soo much more alive. Also literally everyone loves the droppod starting, it really shows how much a good animator can contribute!

Was playing multiplayer with a friend who just got the game yesterday and we were talking about how good the animations were last night.
The animations in this game are some of the best I've ever seen. Never would've guessed it was basically one dude.

Given how amazing the animations are in Satisfactory, I imagined a team of talented people and a lot of motion capture. I never imagined a single guy animating by hand. Whatever they pay this guy, it's not enough.

First time I played the game my girlfriend was watching me play and immediately lost it when she saw how cutely the portable miner was animated. Really good job ! Keep up the great work :-)

The stuff looks great, If not to much to ask,- may i suggest 1 thing about the space elevator that i would love to see.
Making the elevator itself ground level maybe make it a two floor in hight,- having 1th floor as the storage area and maybe some small epartment at the 2th level, maybe we are unable to enter it once it goes to space (atleast most of the start) but just being able to enter it while on ground would be a great experience maybe just a small place to hang around similar to the hub.
Also there is a small hidden future in the hub at the living courters, there is some messages going on at the computer, i`d also recommend this stuff to maybe change over the course you / we, progress during the game, as this game currently has a very limited story. Maybe alittle communication from the alien planet we destroy for resources towards who ever we are sending it to.
I’m obsessed with wanting to go to Him Len and Helvete. They are teased as fictional but I wish you and the team would update them into existence
