Ok I was going say that , I lived in Norwalk Ohio for 8 months went to Toledo a few times and other places around Norwalk and Sandusky and the meth and heroin problem there was bad I went back down south to Tennessee
Well it's official...I've been living under a rock the last 6 years. 🤣 I recently discovered you Dusty, and your channel. OMG you're rapidly becoming my favorite comedian! I end up crying you make me laugh so hard! I haven't laughed that hard in a decade, so thank you. Love the fact you actually make quality content YT video and vlogs! I can't wait to catch you live next time you visit Ohio! I just kick myself that I just missed your last trip here by 3 months. I admire you as a man and as a famous celebrity for grocery shopping and cooking so well! That was a perfect recipe! And YES, rice can be made with any liquid you enjoy. I make rice with chicken or veggie stock mostly. It's way more flavorful that way. That was a genius tip you used your own homemade chicken stock for it too! I'm so impressed! I sometimes make quinoa in the rice/pressure cooker, with a can of beans drained, any veggie desired(optional), veggie stock(in the correct ratio for the quinoa/rice only), and 1 packet of low sodium taco seasoning mixed together. Makes a quick, healthy, protein packed, fulfilling meal that is largely just pantry items that would work great for traveling. I would eat this quinoa as a base in a burrito/taco, with any ground/shredded chicken/turkey/beef and topped with salsa or cheese. I'm sorry to hear about all your food allergies too. I'm allergic to shellfish, so I can understand how challenging eating on the road must be. Safe travels 🙏
@@DustySlay AWWW! OMG! 🤩 You're the BEST Dusty! Thanks for any time you can reply! I can't imagine how busy you must be as a celebrity. You should make more of these, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. You're just a naturally funny and chill guy, makes for easy watching. You should look into making some humorous yet relaxing ASMR
This is just as good, if not better, than the cooking segments of those YT channel camping videos. Dusty is truly one of the great comedians of our time 👏🏻
Wow, I was entertained and educated at the same time. What a simple meal you could make with relative ease. Thanks for all you do. "We're having a good time."

Got to give this dude a little love, One; for being an adventurous dude who would walk a mile in Ohio to get groceries! I know I sure wouldn't do that. And second; For giving some good film recommendations! I love Goodfellas, but I had never heard about "Wild Hogs”. I will now watch that, and order an insta pot. 🖖

Awesome video!! I have been a nurse for ten years and leave a week from today to do a travel assignment. I will be cooking from my hotel room and taking my instant pot is such a good idea!
This is awesome, i love your mindset! Been doing this for years all though i don’t currently travel a lot i do walk to the store and get my groceries and always cook my own food. 1. I can ensure I’m getting quality fresh organic food 2. I can pay way less for way more food. And if you learn to cook really good you can make just as good food as any restaurant

This comment has food tips. I support this concept 100%. It makes a ton of sense to cook - and to want to cook - on the road cuz cooking is something that feels normal, civilized and homey and can be creative, productive, fulfilling and a form of self care and healthy and even much better tasting cuz you can control what goes in it. And often can be much more delicious than a restaurant. One's own (or home / hotel / road) cooking is somehow much more fun, relaxing and nourishing to the tummy and soul than restaurant eatin is. Some tips for flavor boosters: - onion powder - garlic powder - steak sauce ($1 at the Dollar Store) - canned pesto " " (same). - can of sun dried tomatoes and or sundried tomato pesto - shaker container of powdered parmesan or romano cheese, grated fresh is best but not always convenient - mayo - nutritional yeast flakes - it's in the health food section and isn't yeast exactly, it's a hugely popular ingredient among the non dairy, vegetarian and vegan crowd in their cheese substitute dishes and actually has a delicious very cheesy nutty flavoring - it goes great in everything even on popcorn and it's healthy. I put this in practically everything that isn't sweet. - Bragg's amino acids - also in the health food section - look up all the great and lots of uses (popular in the vegan and veg crowd too) - soy sauce - bbq sauce - gochuchang (korean bbq sauce) - tikka masala bottled sauce for instapot chicken tikka masala - instapot chicken and salsa dump - balsamic vinegar GREAT flavor booster but red wine vinegar works well too - bonito flakes (a kind of tuna - dried flakes) - great in soups and stews and snack dips - dried seaweed, crumbled / chopped, if adventurous - definitely taste first before using en masse of course. But lots of different kinds. Might want to research first to luck out better when buying then trying for first times. Can be rich in iodine and very tasty and nourishing in soups and stews. Very popular with the asians - used a lot as snacks. You probably have already, but can't hurt to check out the instapot recipes online. I'm sure lotsa tasty beef solutions. Gotta be some great chinese brown sauce beef and broccoli recipes. Throw in the usual plus can of baby corn and water chestnuts and any other veg - onion, mushrooms, green pepper, celery, carrots, and we're having a good time. 😁 Great quick on the road microwave food: - in glass microwave safe bowl, dump some frozen prechopped veg - broccoli florets, nuke for 5 min (cooks down to half the volume put in bowl), 1 tbsp, 2 tbsp steak sauce, 4 tbsp nutritional yeast, mix up well and it's a pretty fast and easy and tasty way to get yer veg. Can use any frozen veggies or even fresh, just cook / steam them in microwave. - hummus. "Cowboy style" - not the Mediterranean kind unless you love raw garlic OR cook the garlic and add that separately. Can of any kind of beans - kidney's my favorite. Black bean too. Just drain, rinse and repeat until beans are rinsed and drained - can do with lid of can under faucet lid still attached even. Put beans in big soup mug or bowl and mash with fork. Mix in (together of separately mixed then added) any kind of flavorings - nutritional yeast and steak sauce, a little mayo or none (or dash of healthy fats like olive oil, avocado oil, or toasted pecan oil or mashed avocado), Just steak sauce and "nooch" is good enough. Otherwise you can get more creative and branch out more - black beans, lime juice, Mex seasoning and or salsa, nooch, etc. Beans with curry flavors, maybe tikka masala sauce, etc. But a mug of mashed kidney beans, nooch and steak sauce can be one quick on the go snack or semi meal that can be whipped up super quick and doesn't require refrigeration of any ingredient beforehand - all pantry items. Heck, tuna mixed up with steak sauce is even good. Tuna, steak sauce, nooch and canned pesto. Grab a bunch of brazil nuts though if you're not allergic to them when eating tuna. They're supposed to be high in selenium which blocks the body's absorption of mercury and you never know if or how much mercury is in tuna. I sti eat it but brazil nuts are probably a good idea if I do. 🤔
Learning to use the saute button can open up so many possibilities. I would have sauté the chicken onion, carrot and pepper first. Pulled out the veggies and left the chicken, added rice and cooked for 12 minutes and slow release. Stirred back in the veggies and closed lid and sit for another 10 minutes to meld the flavors then had dinner. Change it up a bit and invest in a stainless steel electric skillet. I've travelled on a plane with either one. The skillet greats for making beef stroganoff, stir fries and other goodies. Always can pick up steamed rice from a Chinese restaurant for cheap to serve with your skillet food.
Ethan Cheblowski's youtube cooking channel actually covers cooking gear and traveling / flying - what to pack how to pack, etc. Though he takes more stuff (his bare essentials kitchen) and that was part of his moving from country to country, he's got good tips.
Pot roast, in the Instapot, is amazing! You pressure cook the roast for around an hour, to an hour and 15 minutes - vent, then add your vegetables for like 2 to 3 minutes. Any longer and they (vegetables) turn to mush!
Should do the beef as hamburger meat, wrap cabbage around the beef, tomato sauce, put it on some rice and sprinkle on a little parmesan cheese when its done
Great stuff. My wife is always scoping out power outlets on public buildings so that we can plug in an Instant Pot when the world ends. People running around glowing and on fire, but at least we have a big ol' pot of chili.
I work out of state alot and I have my airfryer/ oven ...2 burner stove top pots and pans and a bunch of seasonings....plus utensils even measuring cup and spoons lol
I used to pack a hot plate when I worked construction and lived in hotels. Housekeeping is a lot more forgiving of food smells and a little mess, just as long as you feed them too.
If you hit it with the side of the knife blade or room landline phone the garlic clove will peel extra easily. You're a great comedian and I hope one day you tour in Europe so I can see you live

Some tips for flavor boosters:
- onion powder
- garlic powder
- steak sauce ($1 at the Dollar Store)
- canned pesto " " (same).
- can of sun dried tomatoes and or sundried tomato pesto
- shaker container of powdered parmesan or romano cheese, grated fresh is best but not always convenient
- mayo
- nutritional yeast flakes - it's in the health food section and isn't yeast exactly, it's a hugely popular ingredient among the non dairy, vegetarian and vegan crowd in their cheese substitute dishes and actually has a delicious very cheesy nutty flavoring - it goes great in everything even on popcorn and it's healthy. I put this in practically everything that isn't sweet.
- Bragg's amino acids - also in the health food section - look up all the great and lots of uses (popular in the vegan and veg crowd too)
- soy sauce
- bbq sauce
- gochuchang (korean bbq sauce)
- tikka masala bottled sauce for instapot chicken tikka masala
- instapot chicken and salsa dump
- balsamic vinegar GREAT flavor booster but red wine vinegar works well too
- bonito flakes (a kind of tuna - dried flakes) - great in soups and stews and snack dips
- dried seaweed, crumbled / chopped, if adventurous - definitely taste first before using en masse of course.
Great quick on the road microwave food:
- in glass microwave safe bowl, dump some frozen prechopped veg - broccoli florets, nuke for 5 min (cooks down to half the volume put in bowl), 1 tbsp, 2 tbsp steak sauce, 4 tbsp nutritional yeast, mix up well and it's a pretty fast and easy and tasty way to get yer veg.
You are officially my favorite guy!! 😂😂
Solid advise on venting 🤣

Garlic hack for ya brother pop it in the microwave for a few seconds and it pops right out of the casing....

I used to pack a hot plate when I worked construction and lived in hotels. Housekeeping is a lot more forgiving of food smells and a little mess, just as long as you feed them too.
Dusty with the lapel mic! 📈📈📈
If you hit it with the side of the knife blade or room landline phone the garlic clove will peel extra easily. You're a great comedian and I hope one day you tour in Europe so I can see you live
We got that same pot from Costco. Love it

Cool idea for a video was really funny too
I knew Goodfellas would be mentioned as soon as the garlic came out lol. Always is
