Awesome video! Thank you! New printer, not new to 3D Printing - the mother of all nozzle blocks I've ever seen in my life: cleaned the build plate and then started printing - all the filament got extruded inside the silicone cover - didn't think I'd ever get that cleaned up. Had to follow your video to get to the tiny piece still causing all my issues, was absolutely terrified taking this apart but you've made it super easy! ♥
Amazing :) For future reference I recently also put together a written guide: embracemaking.com/blogs/resources/troubleshooting-creality-under-extrusion
Thanks sooo much! My hot end got encased in PLA - this video helped me heaps! Unclogged the extruder... now printing a bench to test if I was successfully in my fix. Was hard work getting the PLA away from the wires - hope I didn't break any!
How very timely for me. My Ender 3 v3 was not feeding and the tool was not clearing it. Instructions were great. However, opening up the gear box was not as easy for me. I had to gently pry the top by leveraging the flathead screwdriver against the feeding wheels inside the gear box. But I am all clear now and recalibrated. Thank you!
I had the same issue when a long print detached and the melting PLA found its way under the cover. Had a devil of a time getting the cover off and actually pulled a pin off the PCB board. Also detached one wire on the heating coil while trying to remove the blob. Bought a replacement nozzle/coil/sleeve from China for a pittance and got it working again. The pin that came off was for the fan inside the cover so I now run it without that cover which eliminates the possibility of plastic ever finding its way up there again. Been printing steady for over a month without the cover and my cheap nozzle and no issues.
@@EmbraceMaking I have changed the spool on one printer 3 times now, and every time it clogs. I have 3 of this printer and the other two don't clog up like this. Did I get a defective one?
Cheers for the video. Mine was feeding poorly and turned out was leaking. Thankfully managed to clear the mess and got away with only changing the nozzle.
What gave it away! Lol I can't wait to get my hands on an X1C as well. I have a video on the A1 and loved that printer too. Some people like to dump on Creality but their stuff has come a long way and I run both Creality and Bambu for production and neither are perfect. Both have challenges but both also print really great
Do you have the spare part Numbers for the front Cover including the fan and for the heatsink ? My ender also stuck and i want to have a spare part if it stucks again ?
Hello, I bought Ender 3 V3 a month ago. I made very good prints for a week, then I encountered the key-2529 fault. Do you have any information on how to fix this fault? thanks
I would contact Creality... when I search that fault it sounds like a bad leveling sensor chip ... they probably need to send you a replacement board that goes under the print bed...
My ender 3 v3 plus has been in use for a month and was printing with very poor quality. I investigated the problem and it seems to me that it is the movement of the head with respect to the bronze bushing. Does it happen to you?
Please hepl, I broke that peace that the nozzle conects to it, some pins break. where can i find this replacement? I event dont know how to name it. thank you
How did no one have trouble removing the cover ? I am on my second machine , the first arrived damage but i got to keep and fix it fairly cheaply. The first design flaw is the filament catcher . Ive had to glue them in as they pop out and do not thread properly.
@@EmbraceMaking That or just a regular replacement in general. Cant really find one, my entire machine works Im just trying to find the metal piece you put the extruder into, the ceramic hotend kit piece thing ( 7:10 in the video) the metal piece
I have a problem. My filament got stuck in the extruder i think and now the inside of my print head is filled with pla filament. I tried to get the grey cover off to see the inside. But ist so full its stuck so i cant get it off Is there any ome that knows a solitions for that? Thanks in advance
Have u had any overheating? i got a new nozzle set it to extrude, and it went way past the 220 i had it set to. Even the silicone sleeve got all brittle. I got a replacement that i haven't tied yet. This is my first 3d printer.
could you please make a tutorial for modding the ender 3 v3 se/ke to have 40x10mm 24volt noctua fan? very specific but i am new and this is giving me trouble

Where did you aquire your replacement hotend components. Pcb board, heatsink fan, etc.?
i've got my the fist clog in the extruder. your video really helped! thank you a lot!
1000% Canadian. :) Thank you for you friendliness! i LOVE my Ender 3 V3 Max, but have moved onto a Bambu X1C. Still like the 1/3 price Ender better!

thanks bro, vvery helpful

Just went through this same thing with my v3.
The blob that is. It ruined my fan also. Hopefully creality warranties the parts
god bless you man

What would be a replacement for the whole head ?
I'm guessing you're asking about an aftermarket upgrade?

When I changed the nozzle after over heating I lost the throat set screw doors anyone know what size it is?
I believe it's an M4 grub screw. Anything 6-10mm long should work I think

Them extruders are over-engineered junk I'm glad I've moved away from creality to Bambu Lab
