Never seen ANYONE find this! - The RAREST COIN of the Year Metal Detecting a 1789 Farm House!

- This week we are metal detecting a farmhouse that was built in the 1780's along with all the surrounding fields, although this video is just around the main house. We could tell from the very first plugs that this property was never hunted before. Large cents, silver, beautiful colonial relics, and then one coin in particular that just knocked our socks off! Not only have none of us found it before, but we've never seen ANYONE find it! What an amazing property loaded with all the things we love to find.

the little heart and crown sterling pendant is a Claddagh symbol, usually found on rings .... The Claddagh ring is a traditional Irish ring which represents love, loyalty, and friendship. The design and customs associated with it originated in the Irish fishing village of the same name in Galway. The ring, as currently known, was first produced in the 17th century.
I have never seen a field as good as this one,ever! Great finds.
The 2nd sterling charm is an Irish Claddagh symbol! I think the spelling is right. And I found the exact sailboat pin In Kentucky! Fantastic hunt Men!

@@Slatrelle Hi Guys. I began in Paducah in 1973, hunted West Ky, Lexington area parks and live in Louisville now. Also hunted St. Louis area while working for ICGRR. Nowdays you need to do a lot of door knocking or friends and family property. Ohio and other river banks
River banks are good places to hunt. Always have permission and be aware Louisville parks are banned now from detecting.
Just started metal detecting. My property was farmed in the late 1800’s. found my first Mercury yesterday. It is a 1918 with perfect detail. Yours made me think of it.
The braided hair half cents are the hardest to find of the half cents. They were minted around the time that large cents were unpopular with people, so they rarely circulated outside larger cities. Nice job!
The two hands with the crown heart is an Irish symbol of love and unity.

Yep, I found several James Avery Irish Claddah rings like that. It's a popular style symbol. All my hunting buddies have found at least one.
The silver charm Doug found could actually be an earring backing where there were different sets of colored studs to be changed daily by the wearer.
I love the old finds you detect! We don’t have the 1600 and 1700 coins and relics in Colorado that you find. Our finds are newer- late 1800’s and 1900’s. That’s ok. It’s just fun to find anything!

The slick coppers are like a Rorschach test, people see different things when they look at them.
Sometimes it’s kind of like looking at the clouds. I might see a dragon and you see a hamburger.

Here's another tip someone showed me. Take a flashlight with you. One can see what they have during the day time. But, if a person shines a flashlight on it when trying to see the details, the details will show up better. That's why when a person drops something small in a room, they use a flashlight to find it. Don't take my word for it, try it yourself. Seeing is believing.

You guys always seem to manage to find the very best stuff. Some people might be suspicious of salting these.digs.
Haven't been able to go detecting much since Covid started, and me being only 14. Hopefully I'll be able to do way more this summer. Thanks to Jason, Doug, and everyone else for the entertainment and the finds when I can't be out there metal detecting.
Was actually able to go detecting the day after I posted this at my grandparent's house, small yard so I didn't find much. The best find was a screwdriver. I did actually find a very small foundation to some small building, no one knew about it before then.

The charm is an Irish claddagh. Symbol of love, friendship and loyalty. In ring form it is a common wedding ring. The circle form is for eternal.

Nice finds ( : I love those complete buckles, have found 4 so far. That half cent is sweet, I only have found a classic half cent so far. That mystery coin looks like a William's as I have found 5 of them ( ; HH guys and stay safe.

Yes, I have dozens of displays, shelves, and curio’s in my house. The trickiest part is making them look presentable enough so my wife will let me hang them up. 🙂

Awww man Jason, this episode is killing me!! I keep dragging my feet on getting a metal detector. This hunt seals the deal. I’m getting one!!! I am very familiar with this property and the owner Bob, as I have been his UPS delivery driver for the past 5 years and I’ve always wondered what was in the ground there.
