Usage of plastic in engines is required because of e10 and e20 norms some of these parts have to be plastic to ensure no corrosion
Maruti is also using Plastic Thermostatic Valve in their Breeza, Vitara cars while in other brand cars which is of a Metal. (which is the component on cooling system responsible to control engine temperature).

From the 2015 Swift onwards, the air intake side is completely plastic from the air filter to the plenum. Nothing wrong with that. The moving parts are not plastic. 18 wheel truck trailers have plastic fuel tanks, nothing wrong with that. With the weight reduction,
Maruti is still able to give a fuel efficient 4 cylinder engine, while everyone else has moved to 3 cylinder engines. So please stop spreading negative information about Maruti.
A 4 cylinder engine is a blessing!!! We don't know for how long they can continue but we must support them. If Maruti stops the 3 cylinder engine:- your video may be one of the reasons. You will upset the wider 4 cylinder petrolhead community.
Get a good 3 cylinder turbo petrol and enjoy the fun man. You will never complain if it’s from manufacturers like Hyundai. But please avoid Tata turbos under all circumstances because the sound and vibrations will drive you crazy.

However, the essence of the point is, a heavier vehicle need not be safer, its the crash safe design elements such as: crumple zones, intrusion proof A-B-C pillars, cabin layout and other active and passive safety measures makes today's vehicles safer.

There is a thing called pre collision safety, which is more important than collision safety.
Since 99% times these pre collision safety protects us and only 1% time collision safety protects.
For example a 5 star rating tata car made with tough tata steel and 7 airbags is of little help, when the EBD feature, brakes, car handling and steering flexibility does not help.
It may prevent loss of life but not prevent the accident itself.
