      Completely agree. Other than it being a little dusty it's very hard to beat.

      I’ve tried so many polishes. And it is hard to beat SRP. For the price of it anyway. Wasn’t as much of a fan of their wax/sealant but I’ve always had a bottle of SRP since I passed my driving test

    Good vid, full of good tips. I from the UK and live about Qi mins away from the WOWO factory, probably going to check out their wheel mit now. I used to use AG for a number of years, but felt they had a product for every job. As well as 3 or 4shampoos? I wanted to reduce the product set and I found Bilt Hamber and carpro .
    I also don’t like using acid based wheel cleaners, as the leave a brite white finish, and shudder to think about the long term damage.

    After applying the wheel protector and letting it dry for a couple hours, is it ok to buff with a microfibre cloth or will this remove the protectant?

  • @LearnToRace

    Absolutely loved the last 'did you know' burst out laughing, what kind of finish does the tyre dressing give it applied to a dry tyre wall and buffed off? Or does it say to apply it to a wet tyre wall like you did?

    • @TranquilityBaseDetailing
      @TranquilityBaseDetailing  4 роки тому

      The right side was two coats both buffed. The left was two coats left to dry.
      This dressing definitely suits not being buffed. Didn't look quite dresses when buffed

    • @LearnToRace
      @LearnToRace 4 роки тому

      @@TranquilityBaseDetailing interesting, so it doesnt absorb in to the sidewall then just sits on the top

    • @TranquilityBaseDetailing
      @TranquilityBaseDetailing  4 роки тому +1

      @@LearnToRace Sorry I misread your first question.
      It definitely dries in. I meant I buffed the dressing whilst it was still wet, not the tyre wall.
      I'll try this dressing again on a completely dry tyre wall and see what difference it makes.👍

    Can this product be used on Diamond Cut Alloys?

    • @TranquilityBaseDetailing
      @TranquilityBaseDetailing  2 роки тому +1

      Diamond cut finish can be quite delicate so it's worth proceeding with caution. Autoglym sell a different wheel cleaner that's a bit more gentle. May be worth trying that first.

  • @K_N_44

    Isn't AG Magma better for really dirty rims?

    • @TranquilityBaseDetailing
      @TranquilityBaseDetailing  4 роки тому +1

      I can't comment if it's better as I haven't used it. However both this wheel cleaner and Magma are acid based wheel cleaners so are really two versions of the same solution.
      In the main, using fallout removers as a wheel cleaner tends to be a more expensive way to clean your wheels and since it's become fashionable to use it this way I think AutoGlym have simply jumped onto a bandwagon with Magma.
      Happy however to get it on the channel in future to make a video of that also.

    Does the wheel protector need to be reapplied after every routine wash or will it last a few weeks? Nice video 😀

    • @TranquilityBaseDetailing
      @TranquilityBaseDetailing  4 роки тому +1

      It doesn't necessarily need topping up after each wash. AutoGlym say is will last quite a few weeks. Will all depend on how heavily the car is used and time of year. Salt in winter will play havoc with most forms of protection

    • @TranquilityBaseDetailing
      @TranquilityBaseDetailing  3 роки тому

      I clean wheels first and then the car. Of course you should always do what's right for you but for me I like to get the harsh chemicals I use on the wheels done first so I can wash off any over spray on the car.

    From the uk. Havent used autoglym in years. They are behind the times. Smaller brands out there do it better for cheaper. I've said it before, they rely on their name being passed down from an older generation. But now there is a greater choice out there and they got left behind.
    No need to ever buy from them again

    • @TranquilityBaseDetailing
      @TranquilityBaseDetailing  4 роки тому

      Definitely agree. Their strength really comes from being readily available and being pretty fool proof.

      These have been replaced since the video was filmed. Video is to illustrate capability of the dressing, not to suggest it's a viable tyre repair option of course.

    It is far easier and much quicker to remove the wheel

    • @TranquilityBaseDetailing
      @TranquilityBaseDetailing  3 роки тому

      I don't disagree but it also depends on what you want to achieve. For a general clean up of the wheels busting the jack and axle stands out for four corners is not really necessary.
      I tend to do a wheels off clean twice a year myself and the rest of my washes are performed much like this video.
      How often are you removing your wheels per year bud?
