My favourite thing you do with SP reactions is give the references context with a quick jump cut to the actual thing they're talking about. It enriches the reaction so much more. It's a great touch, especially for SP since some of their references can be a really deep cut that escapes the memory hole.

I remember the shake weight being a real thing, but I love picturing how much fun they must have had in the writers room when someone pitched the “heart rate monitor” where you put your finger in the back, or the fact it sprays water on your face when you’ve “used it” enough 😭 it’s so simple and childish but then being in like their 50s and still being delighted by jokes like that is exactly why the show is so awesome. That childhood sense of wonder Matt and Trey have managed to hold on to is how they’re able to like examine things through the kids eyes. If anything the older they get the BETTER they get at that, bc when they started they were college kids trying to think of what kids were like. Now they actually have kids, so they probably get more then enough inspiration when they see some new modern trend their kid is into
