I often (annually) listen to Beethoven Sym 3 for nearly 20 years and found this pleasant current intersting version with the bright young performers . Love it . Thank you for posting this. Hope to hear more symphonies from this school .
I. Allegro con brio 00:26 II. Marcia funebre. Adagio assai 17:38 III. Scherzo. Allegro vivace - Trio - Scherzo 33:10 IV. Finale. Allegro molto - Poco Andante - Presto 38:56
Finally an ensemble of which can be said "the word and deed go hand and hand ". I don't mean, what you see is what you get. I mean beauty is as beauty does, I mean right is right and wrong is wrong. I mean it's wonderful to be understood and appreciated.
You've got to be kidding! Sure, he doesn't use a baton. No, he doesn't always give a BIG down beat. But his movements shape the music and bring out the dynamics. As an ensemble, I've heard this symphony played by other "professional" orchestras. This is as good and even better than some.
Juilliard uploads their performances on a regular and they don't play a Beethoven symphony every time. They actually do play a fair amount of music by contemporary composers, including "The Uncertainty of Fate" by Carlos Simon.

I love how he conducts with his eyebrows. 10/10
Reminiscent of the famous clip of Leonard Bernstein conducting Haydn's 88th symphony with facial expressions. I believe it's on YT.
So many young faces with this music has to be The Julliard! How tasteful and delightful of you to share.

The principal second violin’s vibe is amazing!
I saw Guerrero conduct his Nashville Symphony a few years ago. He's exceptional.

Does anyone know the mics they used for the woodwind spot?
Astounding.

Kara Poling is fabulous on first oboe! Rockstar
This really sounds like a SCHOOL orchestra. Basic ensemble playing is seriously lacking at times, perhaps due to a lack of clarity by the conductor.
Pov of untalented loser getting big mad in the comment section

Stop playing these old, dusty pieces over and over again. Juilliard has turned the orchestra into a cheap cover band, for music hundreds of years old.
@@joeweinberg3108 it SHOULD be a progressive school, not a regressive school.

If you don't like it don't listen. but please stop imposing your ignorance on others.
superblonde etc: If you do not understand that this piece is NEVER old and dusty, you are probably listening to the wrong kind of music.
