- Finally, the HKS Hi-Power exhaust driving video is done.
This is my 1995 Honda Civic EX with a high compression B20 motor, ebay intake tube with an NM Engineering filter, 1320 performance ram horn headers, and an HKS cat-back exhaust (running stock cat)
HKS Part # 3203-EX009
This is the BEST sounding exhaust for a Civic, it is deep in tone and quite at idle. Perfect combo.

This exhaust will hit an ASR subframe brace? Do you think there is a subframe brace it won't hit?
@@roejogan4009 it barely rest on the brace. It is fine just around a certain RPM it vibrates a little. My friend recommended I put a small piece of rubber between the brace and the exhaust. I am not sure about other braces. I know the Beak bars and style like that won't work. It has to be a style like ASR. You’re making me miss my ej1 for multiple reasons. Most importantly I had a bad stuttering problem and it was my only release. Anytime I’d have a bad day and was feeling down about my stutter I’d go work on the civic. I think I’m gonna get another one as a daily because daily driving an s2000 isn’t practical when you have kids. Thanks for the video and thanks for igniting the inspiration again !
I appreciate the comment, it made me feel good that I could make you feel that way. That is knr reason I bought this Civic, because I had one as my first car back in 03. Highly recommend wrapping your header.. made night and day difference for me. and I have a k-series and intake routed in bumper. really benefit you
I been thinking about wrapping the headers, but its going to be a B*tch with the ramhorns. Lol maybe down the road i will give it a try. I wanted to to help keep heat off the radiator & fan. I do want to get a different intake tube or a elbow to move it closer to the fender. I dont want a cold air because i live in Oregon and it rains a lot. Sounds great. I'm a little late to the party but I'm wondering, how is the drone level inside the cab? That seems to be the downfall with some of the bigger style canister exhaust systems and kinda steers me away. Of course you can add a resonator to solve that but prefer just a str8 bolt on and go system. Since its HKS, i assume the drone is tolerable and/if or their is any at all. Been kinda back and forth on an entire new system. I'm rocking a measly d16y8 with header, test pipe, stock exhaust piping then into a Apexi Ws2 axleback muffler. Pretty damn quiet and low key but kinda gravitating towards going with this system and changing it up in the near future. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
This exhaust is perfect mix quite and loud. I ended up putting this exhaust on my Integra and daily drove it. There was no cabin noise when cruising on the freeway and when in the higher RPMs it wasn't droney. I personally love the sound and want to get one for my new EP3 Civic Si. Yes I still have it. I love the HKS but prior to finding a great deal on this I was going to go Yonaka. The only downside to the HKS is it is small diameter piping. I believe it's just over 2 1/4 so probably not the best for turbo setup. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks for watching and commenting

It is between 2 1/4 - 2 1/2" they don't offer any other sizes. But i love the sound.

is it rubbing on the asr bracket
It touches it, that is why you can hear it rattle when I was parked and revving it up. I am going to out a small piece of rubber between the two. It does fits with the brace tho. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it 😀

Did you have trouble getting to fit with your rear subframe ?
No it was a good fit. It fit just right under the ASR subframe brace. It did touch making the vibration sound. But a small piece of rubber between the exhaust and subframe brace fixed the problem. Hope this helps, let me know if you need anything else. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👊🤟

@@skunk2835 JHPUSA is a great website. Never had an issue with them and I have ordered a few times from them. I would just look around and see what the other sites are and if they are good to order from.
The B20 was a great engine they are cheap (used to be way cheaper but everything has gone up in price) they are fun to use and always can go B20 Vtec later on it right away.

For the most part yes. Lol a shorter hanger in the middle would help pull it up some and my garage to driveway had a hard angle. Lol thanks for watching and commenting. 👊
The exit was harsh.. rubbing the exhaust my dad once letting him drive my car he hit a speed bump took my whole exhaust right off.! 😑
It always scrapes leaving my garage. I am going to see if i can get the exhaust to sit a little higher up.

It fits with the ASR brace but rest right on it. So that is why in the video when I was just thing it there was some vibration. I never really hear it when driving it is a a certain rpm. But to answer yes it does. My friend suggest I put a small rubber mat between the two. For it it fits other braces, I say if it is like the ASR style yes most likely. But the ones that hang low and not matching the stock subframe no. Like subframe Tie Bars. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching and commenting.
