I was 12 and in middle school. I would plug in my headphones to the stereo player and play it full blast and make up a video in my head.
I was also 9, I remember this was the first trance track I ever heard, it has a special place in my memories.
Any artist considering remixing a pop artist track should take note of this. This is how its done...
100%, it's such a beautiful remix. I used to listen to this full blast on headphones till my ears rung. There's a few other remixes at this level but yeah it's da bomb for sure.

Ish Huizar Agreed despite being released in 2001 it was way ahead of it's time where where Trance at that time had more of an energetic feel. This marks the first step into an era that alot of Trance fans are accustomed hearing til this date called Uplifting Trance.

Nathalie P how was the experience? I saw them last year for the first time but they moved on heavily from these classic tri-state era sounds. I had a couple remixed older tracks but was disappointed i didn’t see them in say pre 2014 for that classic touch that got me hooked in the first place. Currently you will be better off looking through Neptune Project/Factor B/James Dymond and others who produce and play a style akin to this older A&B. perhaps you can catch an Anjunabeats classics set at Luminosity, but my suggestion is look at other producers willing to go heavy on that mid 2000s A&B like style.

The first time I heard this mix was at a club somewhere at the Gold Coast (Australia) back in the day. It remains to this day, the best remix of any Madonna track in existence!

I didn't know who Above & Beyond were until I first listened to this song back in 2000/2001. Now I listen to their Group Therapy podcast every friday night.
Years later, after I danced to this in the clubs in my 20’s, still an absolute fav. Such great electronic/trance sounds. What I can only call as “pretty”. It still hits hard.

Me too! I was jamming out to this song, freshly burned on a Memorex CD, when I was about 10 years old. It's crazy to think that I was a huge fan of Above&Beyond back then and didn't even realize it, because I found their current music about a year ago and love it still.
I remember this in 2000/2001 I was only 9 or 10 and I thought this was the coolest song ever!
At 2:40 when it kicks it still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. I saw Judge Jules play this in Southport at a radio one dance weekender in the park in 2001. That moment you felt the best vibrations go through you and it was one of them moments that if you didn’t already love dance music it would have hooked you from there.
Don't cry for me, Above and Beyond. I'm not familiar with this track, but I had a 'thing' for Madonna back in the mid to late 80's. I can only assume this mix is far better then the original. It certainly sounds like it would be.

Still listening in 2022 , I bought this on cd when it came out and took it to my mates and said put this mix on its banging . He looked at the cover and laughed 😅 . He needed schooling in trance and now loves it . Awsome remix by A&B that's the time when they was proper trance , they have gone too soft now in my opinion 🤒
