- The £5,500 QTvan is the world's smallest caravan and is designed to be towed by a mobility scooter along the pavement or even inside a supermarket. It is perfectly suited to queuing overnight for best spot on the Royal Wedding procession route, the start of the sales or for tickets ahead of Wimbledon fortnight. The QTvan is so named because it caters to three peculiarly British obsessions: queuing, tea and caravans. As well as a 19" television on which to watch the ceremony highlights, and a drinks cabinet with which to toast the happy couple, the tiny caravan boasts tea-making facilities - essential for a royal day out. See www.eta.co.uk for further details
OMG. There it is. Forget tiny house, forget living off grid, forget homelessness. This is all wrapped up in one. I have never wanted something so deep in my heart in my life. Perfect. Thank you
Connie - This is a "Mobile Covered Murphy Bed for 1!"
@@robertweekley5926 if only I could make one
Stop winching about it people, its a little caravan! Enjoy it for what it is....it made ME smile
I would LOVE one of these! put a solar charger on it somewhere (to be able to charge scooter as well) and I'd be in heaven!!'
A small dream for those with disability's and like the outdoors, but need kind people with tearooms or pubs to charge every 20 miles or so or extra battery's and plenty planning ahead regarding suitable roads with pavements
Very cool, you should consider making one that can be towed by scooters, for traveling and camping purposes. Loving the 60's throw back, really nice.
It says it's towable by a mobility scooter in the description
How have I never seen this before 😂 Absolutely brilliant 😂
@MissClone Don't forget that mobility scooters are rated to carry someone weighing up to around 23 stone - that's a considerable amount of torque and easily enough to pull this caravan, which we designed and built over the last 6 month. You are right when you say that tiny caravans were built in the 1950's, although I'd be surprised if any were quite this small.
Thanks for the all the interest. We are currently taking orders for the QTvan. We can alter the design and specification to match a customer's specific requirements. For example, one person has asked for a drop-top version so he can tow his grandkids to the mall.
Hi do you deliver to the UK this Qt van
This is fantastic! I'm betting with a slightly uprated chassis it would be great for a motorcycle rally.
any chance of a video of somebody actually using this thing I'd love to see that?.
Me toi
I would love to just see the inside even
Awesome.. People with mobility impariment trying to squeeze into this caravan.
And you downing that and can't even spell. Bless your heart
Squeeze in. Are they oversized?
i think i'm in love
This would be amazing for my little truck I build using a pride mobility scooter and a powerwheels
.
lOVE IT. WISH IT WAS UNDER £2000
Wish it wasn't so expensive but its worth every penny I just cant afford it and it whould be a dream to own one .love it lots
As someone who has camped all my life (tent & hiking backpack) & now has joint disabilities, I would love something like this, but mobility scooters don't go far without needing to be charged & also they don't cope well with hills.
Say what you want about it you know you want one
pavement use only as its restricted to 5mph and u need to do a minimum of 6mph on the road but can only do a max of 4mph on the pavement. plus its size would make it hard to use on the pavement. I have enough trouble on the pavement with my little trailer. so only go on the road when i have that on.
Its actualy illegal to do more than 4mph on the pavement in the UK. that applies to walking, running, riding bikes and mobilty scooters.
Not much point in it really as scooters at the top range can only go about 35 miles on 1 charge lol. with that on the back u will be lucky to get 15 miles before the battery ran out.
My scooter has a 35 mile range but less if their is hills to go up. When i put my trailor on for shopping trips the range drops to 25 miles. so the caravan u will be lucky to get 15 miles before having to stop and recharge for 12 hrs.
Runners definitely go more than 4 mph & are in the pavement. My walking speed before I developed joint problems was 4 mph, I used to march about.
This should be my dream to own one so if any comes in second hand give me a shout. Wish I had the money for this .now I will save up just hope they don't stop making them .I love it so much .who wants a house.
@MissClone Dear gayclone,
You are quite wrong, my mobility scooter towed a Jaguar Mark 4 car chassi once.
.
It was a four mile an hour scooter.
.
It's a shame the world is so small for you.
.
Cheers.
from,
del-boy.
Would be absolutely amazing for grandparent to use this and be able to. Go up a hill. Read some books and make themselves some tea and look at the view
It's beautiful.
@ElCid48 People manage to sleep in tents without flinging excreta around in this way
The reason you missed the point and said people dont need this is because people that know the least are always the ones who think they know so much. Thats because for. Example when they think they know 80 - 100% of everything there is to know about a subject but in reality only know about 5-10%. They are so unaware of how much they dont know. The dumbest people are those people you meet that are experts on everything. They simply think what they know is. Much more than they dont. Everyone does it but the more you do ithe dumber you you are
lol
I'd buy it tomorrow, one problem, power for the mobility scooter. Solar panels? Electric charging on the go?
If you need a mobility scooter ,can see you really struggling to get in and out of this van.
kind of looks like a litte world war 2 bomber turret...... awesome
I guess you meant a "Gunner Turret" ON a Bomber! 🤔
it would be fun to use it to go to the beach, or something, for a couple of hours, but it's too expensive...
Have you SEEN the price of a mobility scooter????
looks like it belongs in the 1970's, despite the flat screen tv
ya, pulling a camper with a mobility scooter that dose not go more than about 50 km and than where do you charge up the battery?
I have a cabin mobility scooter and would love one of these for it. Can it be purchased in the U.K.?
It's British-made, so yes
Don't know if it's been mentioned before but there's a spelling mistake. 0:25 should read accommodation.
love it but like to know where do you get charged up?
This is my dream to own one but they are expensive but I will save for my dream .now I can't walk far and get tired my bed is in the back .I can only dream atm
I love it
Just popping down the shops; I may be some time...
This sounds good but for that price it would need to be towable by mobility scooters if anyone drove this in a public place I would think what the hll this is illegal what about the safety of the caravan it could get stolen another thing the mobility scooters battery would drain really fast due to the weight
oh my god, the man on the radio said this was legal to be towed around the supermarket. I would not be impressed if I saw this coming down the aisle.
Kayleigh Marie Morgan 😄
Why? You see those massive trolleys in the aisles when staff are restocking the shelves, and they really get in the way, whereas this is much smaller and less intrusive. It's perfect for a disabled person who needs to nip into the supermarket while travelling
Only Jeremy Clarkson has watched this.
Richard Hammond and James May haven't watched this yet.
Forever alone.
I would use this to tow behind my honda metropolitan
Cool thing but it's not environmentally friendly. NOT producing it were. But I don't give a crap about the eco-argument. It's simply a cool thing.
where can i get one and is it legal in America XD
Only one problem it's illegal to tow any thing behind a mobility dcooter
Mobility Scooter in the HK
Sorry UK
What is price
fuck car im gettin this!
Does it have a heater for those cold nights?
didnt think mobility scooter are aloud to tow anythink on the road ?
Is it in uk?
@MissClone I think you're a bit out of date with mobility scooters, I tow trailers regularly with my scooter without problems. I also have a 2 seater childs trailer in which I take my grandchildren.
Please can you show a pic of your 2 seater child trailer. What is the weight capacity on your scooter? And what is the Mile per charge.
a few things, since when was an alarm clock entertainment? and where is the toilet?
Where is the Toilet? At the Local Bar, Pub, Fast Food Restaurant, etc!
Where's the bathroom?
um.... 5 miles per hour top speed?
One presumes that is the MAX you should do when towing something heavy.
Oh my god, now they can cause tailbacks on the pavements too....great, thats all we need....
@fluxusreadymade
>Implying energy=carbon
“Entirely carbon neutral” 🤣🤣🤣
No farts were let during it's construction...
Wow, the two most annoying things on the road in one package.
how dinky is that. pmsl
No bathroom facilities. Just use a milk jug to urinate, take a crap on a paper towel and throw it all out out on the road, a curbside, a garden, a field, the front steps of anyone. That's caring for the environment!
And who cares if you don't take baths except when it rains (if it rains)?
Get real, people!
it's not meant to live in you fool, also most people using campers go to sites, they have bathrooms and showers..... also fyi you can get a portable toilet and shower for camping for cheap.
This must be one of the ugliest and stupidest things i have ever saw!
@ETAservices Disabled people have more rights and allowances !
WTF ... WE DONT! .... Have you considered that you could ONLY use this in a really short range .... it would CHEW the battery on one's mobility scooter! So, like my scooter which does 35 miles to a charge, you would find it dropping to about 15. So. You would have the added cost of getting it from your house to closer to where you intend to "camp"
special needs people mught not be able to sleep in a tent!
