This song was one of my favorites as a child, and God brought this song to my heart after prayer today. THANK YOU GOD! I'm reminded: "Don't wait until the battle is over, SHOUT NOW....we know in the end-we are going to win!"
I love his introduction for the song, "....it's just a little old fashioned." This song still grooves too hard to be considered old fashioned. I first heard this song in the late 80s when I was 5 and the original, faster recording of this song has a tight groove. I like this "baptist" version here too LOL. RIP Bishop Hawkins you left us with a lot of messages to apply.
Hope this brings no offense....but I'm used to this song being more live. They are a little too laid back for a shout. I mean, they can sing beautifully but........you know, it doesn't kill me like the original. It was..........okay
RIP Your songs will live forever in each and everyone of us - 05/18/1949 - 07/11/2010
