These video's of the Gospel Legends are the most precious and important rememberance of Gospel at its most meaningful and most unscripted. I am greatful for the ability to see some of teh people that I only heard on records when i was growing up. I am also greatful to see the future legends such as Rev. Smallwood and our late Bishop Hawkins join this honored group. Thank you to whoever recorded these!!!
Got up this morning yet in shock that Walter Hawkins is no longer with us. Such an amazing man. I love you Bishop Hawkins, The family and Love Center Church. My prayers are with you.
Some of the Legends has passed on but their impact on gospel music shall last untill the end of time, praise the Lord that we crossed their paths during our life time.
Today is a Happy Day for Bishop Walter Hawkins. RIP May 18, 1949 - July 11, 2010) Walter Hawkins died on Sunday at age 61 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

His maternal grandfather was a penecostal preacher, his mother, in my opinion, is a saint. My wife and I gave our son to Jesus when Kip was born. His name is Matthew Kipling Hayes. Stand upon that and do not back down! "As for me and my house, we WILL serve the Lord!"...Keep claiming that against the strongholds around your son. The battle is already won! God bless you and your family. May He continue the good work He has begun in you all until it is all complete, in Jesus' name!
