I think many of us have had a time when were out, and found coming back difficult, and some times it is, however, good people cares about you and gives you their hands, and arms, and legs to make returning easier.
I love this church music was always my favorite growing up and mom and dad often sang to us kids classics from their days of being our ages. I'm the oldest at 26 years old now all my siblings are grown except for the youngest of us who has just started high school. Listening to them singing their favorite church music from the time they grew up and served their missions really has strengthened my testimony. I am grateful to find good LDS music. I love efy music and contemporary christian music keep shining brother
I have so many memories from my youth as I listened to this. Good times and hard times. I wondered as a child how it could be the "best of times" and the "worst of times". But it is so. My family was in tact. Active members sealed to one another. I was close to my siblings, cousins, gparents, etc., and never fathomed not having them. I knew without question that I was loved. Then I dated out of my race and was exiled from the home, the same home I was raised in and the same home where I only knew love truly existed. Everyone was forbidden to speak to me from my grandparents to the youngest relative. It was a sadness I never knew existed. My family fell away from the church one by one, and 30 years later, I'm the only active member. When I graduated HS no one showed. When I was married no one. When I took out my endowments, alone. I've let go of the hurt many years ago, and speak too my broken family often. But those days I once knew are so very far away. Another lifetime ago. I love my family. Always will. But this sound track got me thru those darkest times in my life. Still up lifts me, but also reminds me of adversity. This past conference 2020, I heard a beautiful msg. Without faith all we have is darkness (paraphrasing); because faith is hope and hope is Jesus Christ. And Jesus Christ is Light. Therefore, without Light, all that's left is darkness. Hold on to faith. It will get you through the darkness. I know it. God knows the beginning to the end. He loves you. And I love you all. 💜 Hope, Lila
Awwwwww....Lila...your story is the story of a real hero!! so glad that you never forgot your eternal procedence...you have always been a beloved daughter of a caring Heavenly Father who has never forgotten the real value you have...remember how Jesushrist, being soooooo good, with an exact obedience, and suffered all he did ..that was sooooo unfair...well...you went through a similar experience...but here you are...please, forget the bad times and enjoy the good memories...I am the only LDS member in my family, both my parents are dead, 2 of my 13 siblings got baptized, but fell very soon in inactivity...I got baptized in 1986 when I was almost 18 YO, and do you know what? I haven´t missed a Sunday to church! perfect attendance!! until this darn pandemic struck...but I have partaken of the sacraments at home every single sunday, and have attended the Sunday school or the Elders´ quorum meeting up to this morning...I went through a divorce 3 years ago, after 25 years of Temple marriage...now I live alone...this is definitely what I planned for my life...I could tell you the rest of my story...for now, I wish you the best for your life...hope you finally find the "best of times" ...
Ive been completely inactive for years. This music takes me back to a time when I had hope in things eternal. Love the Mormons, unfortunately not so much the church. But blessings to all who stay faithful. 👍❤️
I do like your message. You said nice things. I've fallen away before. I get how that happens. Faith is hope. Hope is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is Light. Just keep that light. It's hard sometimes. I learned that a righteous person isn't a perfect person, but one who repents. Just as long as we keep trying, doing our best. One day at a time. God speed 💞 my brother.
I joined the Church in 1989 and a friend made a tape which included many of these tracks. I went to my ward library and found the tape. I made my own and took it with me on my mission. Through the years it got lost, and I started looking for other copies. You have NO IDEA how much I appreciate you sharing this! Thank you! Thank you!
Fiquei imensamente feliz 🥰
I really missed this song I liked. During my missionary days in 1988-90, we recorded this from other missionaries especially from Americans. I think I have still a copy of this but was left in the province. Thanks for having this here. Oh i forgot got this in seminary as a teacher before.
Thank you very much for digitizing this album. I have been looking for the cassette tape of this years ago but when I found it, it was already soaked with flood water and soil when a strong typhoon hit my place here in the Philippines. Thank you so much for this. Brings back memories of our younger years at church. Your Remastering is superb!
Thank you for this....I was attending seminary in the early 80s when this came out. I had this cassette on my mission while serving in Brazil. Brings back great memories.

Thank you so much for putting this on you tube.I've been looking for it. It reminds me of my mission in the 80's . These are the only songs we could listen to the Choose The Right music too.

When I was young, my sister and played this repeatedly on our casette player. One day, we sat down and played rewound played rewound over and over until we wrote every lyric of each song down. I never knew how much having those lyrics would mean to me in life until that was all I had in an empty apartment I was renting at 18 yrs old. No furniture, no food, no dishes, no one, but I had my lyrics. The best words that kept me pressing forward. And they really did.
@@SkyeGuy Please! Please! I would like to have the sheet music. could you share it with me? I have been looking for it for 30 years. That music means a lot in my life. Por favor!
Hi Walter, unfortunately I do not. I have uploaded every old LDS music tape that I could find in my collection and is not currently available for purchase.
Hi Jason! Im looking for an lds songbook from the 90s ? or 80s with a song "Zions Theme". The first line goes, "...Last night I dreamed a dream...I saw a noble city, with those who were so pure and of one heart and mind..." I can't remember the name of the song book...seminary or institute...? Do you remember this song? If you do can you give me any info on it? Thank you!
On this same note, does anyone remember a song that may have been from a seminary soundtrack that was about Joseph Smith and started something along the lines of "it happened in another time I know and in a place where I have never been"?
I am not in the church anymore but I have warm feelings about this music. It was my favorite when I was young. I love this music.
I think many of us have had a time when were out, and found coming back difficult, and some times it is, however, good people cares about you and gives you their hands, and arms, and legs to make returning easier.
