Hace 33 años salí a la misión, y hace 31 años terminé mi misión, estás canciones tenía todos esos años de no escucharlas, me recuerdan mi misión 😢, cómo pasa el tiempo, saludos desde Monterrey, México
My mom would play this on our way to and from church on Sundays. I was just a child and I still know all the words :) too bad we can’t get this on iTunes
Build a dream for me is a master piece. The way the bass line weaves around the melodic and chordal structure of the song is simply beautiful and stirring.
I joined the Church in 1987 at the age of 19 and this music was so important to me. I've left the Church, but this music stirs up so many feelings. Thanks for posting it.
Sandra Ashton music has that power, it was very influential on me as well at the same age, same year. Perhaps those good feelings you have listening to it is the Holy Ghost whispering for you to return to full activity? You are loved, valued,....and needed...😃
I converted with my family age 8 and as a teen this tape was so important for me. And all these years later even though I too have left the church the music still reminds me of those special days.
This music reminds me when I was in my teenages life.I'll always play this music when I was lonely and boring.Indeed my testimony becomes strong upon hearing the messages of the song.I love to hear it many, many times.
I had this cassette and it was my go to everytime while seving in the Australian Melbourne Mission 86-88. Love it!! Thanks for posting!! Best LDS seminary soundtrack ever!!
I MISSED THIS!!! We used to have cassettes tapes during the 1980's for these songs....Now they are gone and no longer for sale. Thank you for putting this up!
I am so excited that you did this! I have had my cassette since it came out. It JUST got eaten by my ancient cassette player. I almost cried. Then my techno-savvy 13-year-old daughter found you on UA-cam. I am so happy that you loved this music as much as I did, and that you found a way for us to enjoy it. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Hace cómo 25 años que no escuchaba estás canciones. Me trajo muy bonitos recuerdos cuando estaba en la Misión. Gracias por subirlo. Saludos desde Oaxaca, Oaxaca, México.
Glad that this was finally placed here because my copy of this album was lost and it's a cassette tape. All the songs in this album were all sooooo good!
Do you happen to know the composer of, To Build A Dream For Me, the second track? I have been searching for the last couple of days and found nothing! I would love to get a hold of a sheet music for this! Thank you in advance! I was already in college when this came out!
I testify that the book of Mormon is true and it's scripture are true our leaving prophet M Nelson is a true prophet and our church of Jesus christ of latter day saints is a true church and I leave all what I said in the name of Jesus christ amen
I think Free to Choose was part of seminary before I was old enough to go to the weekly class and study the lessons at home each morning. We lived in a small branch where the students lived almost two hours apart. I'm listening to it without knowing what I'll come across, and remembering lyrics from each song. I don't remember the videos except a father and daughter riding horses in a field, looking for something. I also loved that one about the twins, Kris and ---? The brunette was a ballet dancer and the blonde had a job at a diner. Their grandpa wasn't LDS yet but they moved to be near him and take care of him. They discovered their younger boy had dyslexia or needed glasses.
Jason, please help me with my quest for information of, To Build A Dream For Me! One of my friends from where I served my mission in my native Philippines was the one who found your post! I am not that healthy so I need something to believe in again and don't have much energy to find out who the composer is and where I can find a sheet music! Please, please help me! Thank you in advance!
So glad l found you😊👍 I have subscribed 🙌 Thank you for sharing! Does anyone know if the songs are available on CD or in MP3 format? I have the songbook and cassette from when I was in Seminary (I know, I’m old) but the quality on the tape isn’t very good.
It's 2024 and I am still listening to this. Brings back a lot of memories and feelings from the past, especially during my mission.
