I agree here. My girlfriend and I watch every Tuesday and have watched almost every video you have posted in this year. We enjoy watching you walk through the entire house. It gives a pov of us walking through the house with you. I think seeing what people will see navigating the house versus what walls in the corner see is way more effective. Showing height and depth of rooms based on you was the best part about this format. Maybe add those quick cuts in the normal video format.
Hey Colton! Thank you guys a TON for watching, and for sharing your thoughts. I'm going to stick to my regular format, but maybe sprinkle in some of those shots for perspective. I appreciate you guys!
I would vote for the previous format. Walking through really helps with envisioning the layout. It got a bit choppy trying to understand which angle I’m looking at when there’s a big jump from one room to the other. It reminds me of a regular house listing online with a series of pictures but missing the benefit of video. However, I do like some of the clips where you walk in as a sort of “model”. I like that seeing you by the kitchen counter which gave it some scale and made these beautiful listings feel like I can see myself in it.
Thank you for sharing. I think I could stick to the tried and true format and add a couple of shots where I demonstrate something real quick for scale/perspective.
I was 5 minutes in and thought, this is his longest intro ever, but then I caught on lol. Home is gorgeous!!! Since you asked, I prefer the "Typical Terence Tour". It better supports the flow of the home. The jump cuts needed for this format take me out of tour mode, which I find relaxing (hey we're all busy as hell...house tours are my happy escape and moment of zen🤣). I'll watch what you put up. Love this channel. I know this is a lot of work. It's appreciated.
I enjoy the previous format more. My husband and I watch your videos every week and we enjoy the way you showcase the homes. I will say this format was nice too because you were able to showcase the home in a shorter amount of time. I vote for the previous format.
I didn’t mind this new format and noticed you’re able to get through the tour quicker, but I still enjoy the old format better even though the videos were longer. We love watching your tours in our house
Hi LuAnPierre, thank you for letting me know and I really appreciate that you guys love my channel and tours. Please know that it means a lot to me! You'll be pleased to know that I'm sticking to my regular format with some sprinkles of the "modeling" to help show room size/perspective. Thanks again for watching and being a part of my UA-cam fam!
Hey Terence, It's Envy! I don't hate this format. It is what everyone else does though. I like your old format, but there are moments that shine in the new. With you standing at the counter looking out to the room, that is nice. Gives scale to what our eyes would see from your location. Also, the view of you in the room really shows the room's height. I'd prefer the former "walk with Terence" presentation. The former is like I'm there with you as you point out the craftsmanship of the baseboards, HVAC openings, peeks in the closet, etc. Now the house itself. It is truly so "clean and neat" it looked unreal. I like the perfect stated elegance that says comfortable money without being overbearing to the viewer. It feels like a home. Teh rooms are great size. The closets in the secondary are suitable and not oversized. With only one floor laundry, the elevator would be useful. Love the floors and color pallet too. I think any luxury home built should always include leveled out back and front useful space. At that price point, that is not too much to expect as standard. They're digging anyway. Just throw the extra dirt from the basement into the back and use it to level it out. I'd personally insist on negotiating a finished basement. After moving, who wants to deal with more construction on your site? I know I would not like the disruption. I want to enjoy my newly purchased paradise with the peace I'm willing to pay dearly for to the builder. Anyway, it is good you are exploring to improve your videos. Never be complacent. Keep trying new things and ask your subscribers for their input. I wish more creators did that. Until the next time, see you out and about finding the best of the best real estate in the GA area.
Hi Envy! I was wondering when I'd hear from you! Thank you for sharing your impressions, I really appreciate it! I'm going to stick to the regular format but sprinkle some of the things you like about the new video. A few others have expressed liking that as well. Let's see what a hybrid could look like in a few weeks. Thanks again, I appreciate you!
Just found your channel within the last few weeks but I can say that I do like seeing someone move through the spaces vs doing a typical walk thru, that so many other channels do. In my opinion, seeing someone interact in a staged space gives an idea of the size and features as opposed to FPV, which is sometimes hard to gauge due to lens choices and/or settings. Maybe a hybrid is the sweet spot. Kitchens, master bedroom/bathroom, living room and special rooms can get a third person view. The rest could be a simple walk thru style.
Glad to have you Blitz and thanks for sharing your thoughts. I think a hybrid could be cool. Some good feedback early on from everyone; giving me some good ideas!
Love your channel Terrance. I prefer your original style rather this new approach. However, if you want to keep this style I suggest a PIP screen for commentary and a regular walkthrough for the main video
Hey CJ! Thank you so much for letting me know! You'll definitely be pleased to know that I'm sticking to my regular format moving forward! I'll try new things in the future, but I love hearing how my UA-cam fam feels about it, so thank you for sharing and being a part of my crew!
Nice home. But I feel I couldn't get the true feel and layout of the home with the way this tour was delivered. I like it better when you walk through the home and video.
Love your channel always cant wait till you upload every week. I wish more tours showcased opening cabinets and seeing storage/appliances so that was good but otherwise I like the old format. It was more relaxing and i can explore in my own head with my own commentary...if that makes sense😂😂. A bit too much talking and i could not get a good flow of the home with the edited small videos throughout.
Thank your for sharing your thoughts on this! Good news, I'm sticking to my regular format. I may sprinkle in some new things in a couple of videos when I film again but it'll retain that familiar essence.
My wife and I watch you regularly and enjoy your in-depth tours. However, we do not like the new format. This format is not as thorough and felt disconnected during the tour.
I've been thinking about getting one. Something about guaranteeing cook temp for an overnight cook without me having to babysit it sounds appealing. Heard they lack smoky flavor though. Do you know if that's true?
Nooooooo. My brother and I love your videos and often turn on speaker phone and view the homes you post. It feels like we're touring the home ourselves. I strongly dislike this new format and opted to stop watching halfway through. Can you redo this video in the old format plesse.
Hi Lolita_Lee, thank you so much for taking the time to share how you feel! It means a LOT to me! Just for you: ua-cam.com/video/tQuCLE-JzoQ/v-deo.html -- I'm going back to my regular format moving forward fyi :)
I like the old format... 🥺This new format (unfortunately) is not enjoyable; it jumps around and don't flow like when you do the walk through the home...
I like it when the realtor walks throughout...I've seen realtors open the refrigerator and grab a bottle of water, take a seat at the office desk, get into the primary bathtub for size comparison etc..The new concept is progressive ..I'm a committed subscriber from Atlanta..There's one thing you mentioned that I'm not sure about, I've got to watch it again before I comment...Looks like the ARHAUS PEOPLE made an appearance..👍👍
It was a trial to see if it would be a runaway hit. Instead, it turned out to be a runaway train. Video is the 9th worst performing videos of my last 10. Going to stick to what my people like 😁
@@TerenceRichardsonTours I get it. Looks like a bit more work, setting up extra shots. I wonder why you're not including more mechanical info. Life of the roof, age of the furnace or appliances. I guess I'm just a guy. You're nailing your thumbnails though. Are you doing your own drone work?
How do you like this test format? Be open/honest with me. Thanks! 🙏
I agree. This is exactly what I was going to say. I get a better feel for the layout of the house. Appreciate you, Terrence.
