    Kirchhoff was one of the under-rated figures in science history. It was these first systematic rules defining how electricity flowed in basic circuits that changed electricity from a curiosity into the ubiquitous tool that it is today. For certain there are other figures - Maxwell the most notable - that made essential and magnificent strides, but these basic ideas of Kirchhoff laid the foundation.

    @23:44 the direction of the righmost power supply gets flipped (by mistake) (actually cause it yields better results I guess the text before it was mistakenly written I guess)

    in the last example you changed the direction of the voltage source with 0.5 volts which messes up calculations. otherwise great content

    At 6:43 if there is "0" volts at point D then how can current flow with no EMF to create/cause it after that point. Doesn't the wiring after point D also contain some resistance that would require some voltage to be consumed all the way back to the battery. Kirchoff's law being the sum of all the voltage drops will equal the source voltage.

      In that area he did not use ohms law. It just means that the value of Rt1 is equal to 40/3

      Its right when you do the algebra :) Because 1/Rt=3/40. So you have to rearrange to find Rt. Thus Rt= 40/3

    how come the voltage at point C D is 6.7v? if you sum up the voltage drop for the circuit i.e 2.2v +9.8v+6.7v it will be more than the supply voltage which is 12v.

      It simply means that the assumed direction is wrong & not the value. If your calculation is correct just go with the +ve option

    @1:29 there is a big mistake ! electrons have a negative charge so the current should flow in the other direction ! !.

      yes, but in the video the current is in the CONVENTIONAL form, not the REAL. For almost all cases, the conventional flow work just fine.

      Because (1/Rt)=(3/40) So you have to rearrange to find Rt (solve for Rt using algebra). Thus Rt= 40/3

    it is quite obvious you know this material very well, but at 15 minutes the Loop 2 is not a circular current path. it is only from top down. another problem is at the 21 minute problem, on the left side of the circuit, you used conventional current flow positive to negative. but on the right side you use electron flow from negative to positive. sorry MAD, but you can't have current flowing in both directions, no bueno, I'd like to see you talk your way out of this one. you may have made this cake, but the only way you can eat it is to admit your mistakes or if you can answer my questions why you are right I will give you a sub and thumbs up. mike but I don't this that's gonna happen!!!

      Yeah. We have the same observation bro. @ 21:40 He said loop BCDB but presented 29 = V3 - V2 and ultimately ended V3 + V2 = 29 as as the 3rd equation... HOW DID HE DO THE MATH in this part...it shud be noted that + or - signs denote the direction of current... HOW COME mike seemed to have neglected that theory????😂😂😂 Your presentation does not seem to be helping mike!!!! on the contrary YOU ARE CONFUSING visitors of ur video.

      @@JakeGamiao Good on ya Jake I just posted the same and wanted to see if someone else also picked this up. How does 29 = 3 I3 - 7 I2 all of a sudden miraculously with no explanation now become 29 = 3 I3 + 7 I2. They both cannot be correct. Equation 3 looks correct based on solving that loop which I called CBDC starting just after the battery + using the direction of current flow and not his arrow direction opposite to current flow and how he solved the first loop ABDA. My question is what practical application would you put 2 independent power sources in a circuit like that. In electronic equipment AA, AAA, C, D batteries are installed + to - to multiply the voltage output. I never seen anything + to + or - to -!
