I’ll say this, I’m all about Jesus. If there’s a band I’m into that’s against Jesus, outwardly, I’m not a fan anymore. Idk a ton about these guys, but I know they’ve professed their faith for a long time now, and listening to the music, they sound Christian to me. Jesus is truth, and they’re putting truth out there. The good and bad. Believing in Jesus isn’t denying the bad that’s happened to us, or the bad that we’ve done and just looking the other way. It’s facing it all head on and being made clean in truth by following Jesus. The songs I’ve listened to, they seem to understand that. Yalls music is much appreciated. If y’all ever need another guitar player, I’m the guy no doubt
POD is a spiritual band and I love it. They don’t shove it down peoples faces. They write in a way that everyone can relate and have hope no matter what your faith is. New album is so good. 🤘🎸🤘✝️🙏
God knows hearts. They were very Christian when i saw them, the whole spirit changed when they came on. Dope and Staind preceded. Then we met the guys after, and they encouraged us in our faith very much.
I never thought of them as a xtian band just a band with positive vibes. Their religion was present but they weren't preachy. They were/ are great. If you like it, rock out! That's what matters.
I at least hold my christian faith 90% percent of my time. There's no judgement when born rock n rollers by trait God gave us our freedom to rock! I love all rockers! By trait we our "Rockers" with truelove in our arts and love. "Yashua Saved Us" in other words all music transcends the human power of love and pure representation of who we are and not fear our consiquinces. "Art is Love!"

Ok so I wasn’t a huge fan but I liked their music. I didn’t know they were categorized as a Christian metal band. I just heard the music. Same with Slayer or whoever else. I’m not a Satan Worshiper but I love metal and always will. The lyrics to me are secular and secondary. Always. Even in a ballad. Two of my favorite all time songs, Cemetery Gates, Pantera and Return to Serenity, Testament. 😘😘🤘🤘💯🔥 Music is part of “religion.” It speaks to the soul, it translates things we cannot in words or other actions. That’s why I wish I could scream and growl like some of the greats. I want that option to get rid of shit. But I can’t. So I feel it when they do it. I want to just cry thinking about how it feels. I’ve been begging for years for someone to listen to me and see that the artists can do something about this. Take your fkg money and put it back into your business! Create your own fkg music industry! Cut the fkers out! Your fans would even fill those jobs for you! Damn! Bypass the venues monopolized until they beg you to come! Ditching the ones that need to be cut out. Why is this not possible? Artists owned industry!

I started listening to POD and papa roach at the same time and I would have thought POD would be the band that sold out and went soft. But POD has stayed hard and never sold out. I appreciate them sticking to their roots.
He’s telling us that they didn’t lean into the Christian thing? Their band is called Payable On Death, unless I missed something….. and they are definitely not metal, rad band, but not metal.
i just love that fact that they are not profane. too many groups use profanity to sell their music when it’s not necessary. let your musical talent and on stage performance sell the music.
They're so Christian, that they'll back out from a massive festival to be on SNL instead. A lot of people were screwed over when POD ditched the 2002 Springfest in Austin Texas. The promoters were forced to make it a free festival, and a lot of out of state ticket holders weren't able to get refunds.
if you make music that sounds like Nu-Metal. It doesnt mean its the newest type of metal. The newer types are the only popular forms of metal now. ie metalcore, deathcore. Everything else is doing very bad in comparison to Rap and Electronic. I just hear Korn and Limp Bizkit pretty much in regards to that term. And the albums that came out that time were very similar. Metal plus Hip Hop.
Grew up on p.o.d. in a christian household. My metal horizons expanded greatly but P.O.D will always remain part of the playlist for life.
