I used to have 2 12" L7S and these videos do not show just exactly how loud these speakers are. The are literally on a whole nother level from your "typical" system. You just have to hear them yourself. It's actually incredible.
Like honestly saying these are good for "daily drivers" is just not true imo. They are loud. Really loud. Over half the people I showed mine to said "my ears hurt turn it down". More often than not people that got in my car said it was too much and wouldn't let me turn it up. Even hurt my ears sometimes.
That’s badass! Yeah a 2000 watt rms amp would be perfect for these bad boys. A maximum recommended sealed box wants more power. Now a ported box would be more efficient and need only 1500 watts for those subs. Sealed in my opinion sounds better. I have 4 8 inch kicker L7S’s under the back seat of my Silverado in a 3 cubic foot box. Right now they are on a m class Memphis 1100 to break in. I’ll be putting them in a kicker CXA1800.1 we will see how they do. They hit ok on a 1100 watts but are power hungry subs
Man I seen on somebody's video saying these newer L7Rs are similar to the original L5s but idk i got 2 L5s in the same box i bought like 4-5 years ago and I never installed them because i have 2 alpine type x 12s nice setup though my friend had 2 L7s back in 2005 with 2 kenwood amps that rms at 750, those things sucked the air out of your chest
3:47 you said tuned around 40hz? Website says 31hz so are they just lying or is it a different box. Edit seems like a different box but I can’t find this box on their website.
When I made this they were discontinued. One thing to consider is the way I have them positioned in the car, raises the cabin resonance a lot which is why the system peaked around 40. These subs in this box in a bigger car did hit a lot lower.

How you gonna judge off a video? You know nothing about car audio, stfu
I had to stop the video less than a minute in that rattle... I know you can fix that License plate
oh yeah, its the whole car though, 'fix the loud and ya can hear all the quiets'
All that bass is gonna rattle stuff, kinda common sense
