That Danzig interlude 😂
This is quality content guys
‘The corpse is dead now’
Astute observation there, Chris…
DEATH BY THROAT
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
It's dumb😂
"Deepist cut" 😮💨
Chris Barnes is the Vince Neil of death metal.
Well put🤘🏻
Barbe's voice may be gone but he contributed far more to music than Neil ever did or will.
Blayne single-handedly keeping this channel relevant. Give this man a raise!
I kinda want Sam to just hand the keys over to him and Daniel Dekay. Every time Sam pops back in he says something super cringe and I want him to go away again.
no lets have different hosts I think
Ok Blayne is a speech waterfall, he is competent indeed. But whatever happened to Banger TV where a multitude of music vloggers (how do you call them?) shone their lights on all things metal, the music and all that goes with the subculture..???.It' s a sort of one man show now...And I like Blayne but the question remains
I've actually thought the same thing. Might as well just give the right to the show to Blayne at this point. Without him keeping the videos going. This channel would be forgotten and I'd probably pull my Patreon membership. What happened to Unearthed? There's tons and tons of records that can still be talked about and content be made. It's a sitting gold mine.
@@Machovelli they have like 6 reviewers on staff and outside of Sara, its only been Blayne the past few weeks. It's getting cumbersome. It's BangerTV, not BlayneTV. If I want more of Blayne I'd just watch his twitch stream
I've gotta a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell 🔔
This record is awesome!! 🤘🏻
There are a few songs that are bangers! Bestial Savagery and Ascension are great imo. It seems to be the cool thing still to make fun of Chris Barnes, but I think it's a good album 3.5/5
Honestly I dug this album
Honestly his vocals are holding noticeably longer after he’s been off the ganja for a few years. Makes me wonder if he never started smoking, how all the past albums would have sounded.
Its a pretty solid album. Way better than the last, and i really don't get where you coming from with criticism on the vocal mix. Another fairly stupid criticism is about the slower tempo tracks. SFU has always had death n roll aspects to their music, and some absolutely killer slower tempo tracks.
Spot on. I watched this review before listening. I was worried. Didn't need to be. This is quality fucking death metal.
@Aenigmakil I honestly think this is one of their best albums. Definitely their best since Unborn
Too afraid to actually say that the vocals are solid and would rather get brain dead clapping from the metal community.
Ill buy this just for the Nazareth cover.
That's the only shit on it as well 😂
The vinyl sounds sick, I'm, really happy with it. This record is phenomenal!!!
A thrashy aggressive total badass gory death n roll masterpiece. It won't give a break a bit, it's an absolute brutalizer. 🍺
CASTLE SPOTTED
CATHLE
I like it
Same don't get the hate. Best album since Unborn for the band.
I gave this a spin yesterday and really liked it. Yeah, I know, I was shocked, too! Kept it spinning for most of the night.
It's definetly a Six Feet Under masterpiece. Awesome album.🤟
I cannot bring myself to hate this record. Chris has been releasing music pretty consistently for longer than I am alive and even if his stuff wildly varies in quality, there's just something about a new SFU album that always gives me a cozy feeling of familiarity. It's weird, silly and a bit stupid at times but it's definitely very Barnes-ey and I can find something to appreciate in that. Good on him for sobering up as well, I wish him all the best.
It’s actually the best SFU album in quite a while.
@@jaredlesperance6874best since Unborn maybe! Sick album. Undead is my favourite.
@@jaredlesperance6874that.... That doesn't mean much lol
Needs more cow bell!
Actually it needs more EEEEEEEEEEEEE
If he would’ve said “now you’re messing with…a son of a EEEEEE!!” I would’ve bought the album.
**pulls veil of schadenfreude over shoulders and gets comfy for this review**
That hair of the dog cover is amazing 🤣🤣
I know those Graveyard Classics albums are hated by most of the metal community but I think they're kinda hilarious and fun to listen to.
They're the only things by Six Feet Under that make me happy.
The young metal community... Fact
Bro have you not heard Warpath or Haunted? Pure Bolt Thrower worship! @@gwts1171
I love them. Their covers of In League With Satan and Blackout are better than the OGs imo
@@moneenerdHow much did barnes pay you to say that? An EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?
Why is Sam Dunn almost always absent from the channel and shows he originally created?
Hair of the Dog cover is worth getting this album for..
I like this album.
At least there are 3-4 good songs that go to the pool of sfu library. Also chris heard criticism and acted on it, or at least followed advice from record producers. Which is good. He couldnt hit those "EEEEE" anymore and totally buried them.
"Blood from Blood and Blood for Blood". Truly SFU are lyrical geniuses. And lest we forget "Death by Throat"
Sounds like a death metal St. Anger. I want that Hair of the Dog cover played at my funeral 🤣
*At my divorce
What’s your rationale for that? If you’re dead you’re going to bring everyone else with you? 😂
Think this is my fav Blayne review. Comedy gold all round
I’m in just because of the cover
I actually enjoy his vocals on this album, it's similar to Gotsu Totsu Kotsu's; gravelly and raspy, but still growly. It has more character than generic death metal vocals for me.
It's a fairly good album. I'l have to spin it a few times to really get an opinion on it, but it's way more listenable than Nightmares. That was the Lulu of SFU's catalog I think.
It's a quality album but the cover was unnecessary. I'll turn it off before that from now on
Deicide and Six Feet Under? Blayne, you poor, unfortunate man. Let's get you out of this review immediately, and we'll do whatever we can about the disappointment. I have to shout out Borders of Mania by Red Rot.
I don't know man, to me this album is pretty damn solid. I know for most people there is some kind of unshakable stigma attached to this band and they are trendy to hate on (justifiably from their last album). I don't always need pretentious / high-brow death metal
It's a good album...people decided they were gonna hate it in advance
About to go into work with the hair of the dog cover stuck in my head all day and I’m not even mad about it 😆
Thanks for shouting out Markgraf!
I
Howdy Banger fans and Blayne?
Excellent job. Greeting from Belgium.
I need to listen to it more to figure if I like it or not
Blayne have you heard of the Coffin Storm album ?? Maybe a review ?
This is going to be hysterical.
Good use of movie inserts this week 👍
I think I need to make that Hair of the Dog cover my ringtone for pretty much everything! 😂
Great review, thanks!!
I think this was your best and most entertaining review. Nice job!
Chris actually sounds good again- he must be on the WEED again!
29th anniversary of Morbid Angel's Domination was yesterday. Feel old yet?! 🤘
I like it. 3 out of 5 for me. Great Barnes/Danzig comparison. Spot on.
Out of all of the actual good records you guys could have done…you choose Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
You need to listen to their 4 Graveyard Classics albums.
Blayne was having fun with the Nazareth cover.....funny harsh verdict too...
This oughta be good 😅
Post Watch Edit: This was everything I could’ve ever asked for and more! Hair of the Dog 💀💀💀💀 EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
So I actually reviewed this on my Twitter and had some Metalheads get mad at me in my DMs. I'll just copy/paste the whole tweet here for your Viewing Pleasure...or Displeasure. Keep in mind my Final ranking is based on the songs that I jammed too or kinda liked, so it may seem like a High ranking, but its really not considering most albums I listen to, I end up liking most if not all the songs on them.
"Alright. Imma rate this album based on how many songs I liked.
So there are 13 total songs in the Album, and only 6 of them were Good, or Decent. That's half of the album.
Here is a quick ranking of each individual song, on a scale of 1-10:
Know-Nothing Ingrate - 7/10
Accomplice to Evil Deeds - 4/10
Ascension - 4/10
When the Moon goes down in Blood - 3/10
Hostility against Mankind - 4/10
Compulsive - 6/10
Fit of Carnage - 7/10
Neanderthal - 2/10
Judgment Day - 5/10
Bestial Savagery - 6/10
Mass Casualty Murdercide - 6/10
Spoils of War - 6/10
Hair of the Dog (Nazareth Cover) - 3/10
The Overall ranking of this album on a Scale of the amount of songs in the Record, 1-13:
This album gets a 6.7/13
Overall a pretty Mid record with very few songs that I would recommend to all Metalheads. Most of the songs were long and boring, the long songs having very few lyrics, and the short songs being what the album should've been. The best songs in the Record are - Know-Nothing Ingrate, Compulsive, Fit of Carnage, Bestial Savagery, and Mass Casualty Murdercide. Every other song can either be Ignored entirely, or given at least 1 Listen.
Six Feet Under has improved since 2020, and this album is not their worst work, but it certainly isn't their best, not even close."
Six Feet Under cover songs have been a goldmine for a loooong time now.👍
Like, who is the absolute fucking maniac who thought it was a good idea and ok’d them covering the entirety of Back In Black? 😭
Not tired of Blayne🎉
Dude, you're fuckin' hilarious. We gotta have a beer one day!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Looking forward to this. Are we gonna get angry Six Feet Under fans?
Lichen I believe it's pronounced like-en.
looking forward to the next three reviews
I like Sarah, Riley and Dekay, too. The beardy doom and deth guys from a while back were cool, too; they all bring lotsa Shout Outs. Blayne's great. Its variety that's missing. Not Blayne's fault. Thanks for the LICHEN rec, btw...
I think his voice sounds great and the album sounds heavy.
that cover is the best thing I've ever heard lmao
I laughed so hard at the Hair of the Dog cover. Holy Balls please play that at any bar tonight, people will love/hate it!
Never tired of the man, who’s name is Blayne!
Sounds like super thin cannibal from 92
A new SFU record.... has it been three months already?
Not bad
This album is really good. I mean, legit good.
I am a long running SFU fan. I just dig it!! I can't help it.. however, Nightmares is ass!!!
This new album is fkn awesome tho!!
Interesting! I ordered the album then watched this... After watching this I wish I never ordered it. Not sure why because I've never been someone who takes other opinions too seriously but for some reason I took this one. And to that I'll say, never again. Ever. Sick album! Whether it's the faster, groovier or riffier moments, I really enjoyed this. Yes, if this was Barnes of The Bleeding, the album would've been better but that aside, musically this was quality death metal (musically better than Haunted if you prefer your death metal with more brutality and riff) and Barnes did well enough for what he's capable of at this point. The only song I did not like was the cover track. Could've done without that....
It is definitely better then the last one n with out the eeeeeee. Even know last album is growing on me. Idk I guess I just have to get listening to it. It's like I want to like it but just not sure if this makes sense
That whole NAZARETH Hair of the Dog album is still god.
Damn!!! that Nazareth cover is worse than Slayer covering "Born To Be Wild"
They still get the reviewers clicks.
Blayne- awesome. Lmfao
Six Feet Under Blows
Blayne TV 😅
Blane you are the best!
That Markgraf record is an interesting one. No Göden?
Wraith hat
The cover threw me for a loop.
I'm shocked Blayne didn't give this "1.5 skulls out 5 and the skulls are screaming EEEEEEEEEE"
this is a great album anyway
People that wanted another complete joke of an album like the last one will be disappointed apparently. So there’s no Eeeeeeeeeee? I’m honestly impressed.
Barnes lyrics are usually pretty sickening. But I own almost everything from Six Feet Under. So why not this splatterfest? My favorite is bringer of blood.
lmfao! one of your best yet! That cover . . .ded
You clearly know nothing about groove whatsoever if you think this record is "too repetitive", or that the songs are too long.
It's perfect, and I'm happy as f it's not a short record.
My new favorite DM album, and longtime favorite DM band ever.
When the moon goes down in blood blew me away, absolutely amazing song.
I also really enjoy the tempo and pacing for every song as well, just super groovy all around.
Hair of the dog is hilarious and fun as f too, what a bonus track lol.
Nah this album is godawful
Time for a new vocalist!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PRIMITIVE WARFARE RULES
I actually feel the opposite way I want more Blaine
Last 6FU album: Steaming Pile
This 6FU album: That same pile but it's all dried up, so it ain't so bad when you step in it.
But poop is poop.
💩.5 out of 5
Its better than the last couple of albums
It's better than most SFU albums.... If Barnes sounded as good as he did in Cannibal Corpse then I think most would agree
No eeeeeee 1.5/5
6FU being 6FU
i actually really love the album. i tried to share it on Reddit in the death metal sub and its "Blacklisted" i about sht myself with how ridiculous that is. bunch of gen z kids running a death metal sub. hahahah. losers. have an open mind and listen to it.
You’ll probably like this more than Darkthrone and Deicide.
Darkthrone hasn't been good in 30yrs.
@@SKvldlf I’m goin to see a punk rock-post hardcore-emo band on Saturday. It’s their 30 year anniversary as a band. I’m pretty excited.
Now Blayne's messing with a....
Graveyard Classics Volume 4.
