    This is the very first time I’ve attempted to make one. Thank you so much for the very detailed step by step instructions! I wish it had only taken me one hour! It took me about 3.5 hours but I took my time. I’m pleased with the results. Thank you again! ✌️👩🏻‍🦰

    Gah wish I had enough money to buy that much crazy sexy wool, especially since I live in the US. One day I'll make this but until then I'll just admire from afar. I look forward to seeing the tutorials you all have in store :)

      +Nadira Williams Thank you thank you, very glad to hear that you're looking forward to some more of our tutorials :)))) We're really loving making them! I don't know if this is something you've spotted already, but we've got a competition on at the minute to win $2016 of yarn (that's a lot of arm-knitted blankets). All you need to do is enter your email address before the end of Jan (it signs you up to our newsletter, but you can subscribe at any time): goo.gl/kw9Mi8

    Thank you so much for this tutorial. I tried three other videos and kept making mistakes. Your 'palm to palm' explanation was perfect. Just made a gorgeous baby blanket in just over an hour. So excited to start my next project!

      Agreed! I am wanting to make one for my bed, but I can't really find any tutorials on how to make huge ones. I like over sized blankets, so I always order them a size up, so i wouldn't want to make one that was only like 3 ft. by 5 ft.

    The holes are so big though.. it won't be a very warm blanket would it? Is there a way to make it tighter?

    • @VenusLanzot
      @VenusLanzot 8 років тому +7

      Don't let the holes fool you. Depending on the yarn, this is a very warm blanket.

    • @colesuqs
      @colesuqs 6 років тому +3

      Juleen I these are very warm, but ya if you just pull your holes tighter around your arm the homes are smaller andntighter, the tension and all that is (literally, I think I'm funny) in your hands:)

      Juleen I thing how big the holes would be with one strand of yarn

    What do I do with the extra tail from the beginning? There is about a meter left of the four meters I measured at the beginning. Can I use that to do extra stitches to make a bigger blanket?

    I tried a smaller version 15 stitches one piece of yarn it worked well but was really loose, so I used it as wall art. Tomorrow I am doing a real blanket. Also, you explain things quite well, and after every other arm knitting video I watched I had to come back to this one.

    I’m teaching myself how to arm knit a blanket and the video Shows you using three balls of yarn, now I have a super bulky thick yarn so do I still need to start with three balls or because Its thicker do I only use one? Don’t wanna mess up since I’m making it as a gift for my mother. Please help

    What is the approx. dimensions of this @woolandthegang? I checked instagram and can't seem to find a full after photo. Is there one somewhere? I'm thinking of maybe trying something like this, but would prefer only two strands. Would that still work? You did 28 bands or whatever the proper knitting term is, right?

  • @freyatalbot3181

    Would the blanket look better if we tightened the stitches or would it curl up?

    • @bethanychapman7566
      @bethanychapman7566 7 років тому +2

      Tien Vu I think to make the holes smaller, you just make the stitches tighter on your arm. But maybe make sure they're evenly tight on each arm?? It should even out I would hope, lol.

    I could make this with some old rags I have lying around. Just gotta cut and tie them into long strips. Thanks! This will save me from a pile of scrap in my craft space.

    In my opinion I think that the Lion Brand Hometown Yarn should make a very good thick blanket maybe using 5-6 strands of yarn? Also buy more yarn

    I thought yours was a little fast in this just string everywhere it’s really hard to keep track of what is what when you keep moving things around. I’m not going to buy your overly expensive wool. I bought my own because I’m not going to waste my money. I have a type of wool that Will come apart if i pull on certain places in it.
