@@newworldforward1842 a real rotation includes roughly 3-5 AoE effects and 2 'spammables' one being an execution. Light attacking is literally everything. It shortens the animation to each skill, adds dps, and helps keep resources higher as ur getting free dps with a slight extended time between skills. Never. Stop. Light. Attacking. Barbed trap is great for stam and magicka builds. But medusa will be a game changer
That's a tricky question to answer because of Relequen. As long as you're using a light attack every 4 seconds, you'll be able to get at least 8k to 9k out of that set alone. I think that for stamina DPS, gear is going to be weighed a bit heavier because of that. Rotation is just as important as ever, but for stamina DPS, because of the strength of Relequen and Lokkestiiz, you'll notice a larger drop off when using beginner gear compared to on magicka DPS
You tested with all gold gear? You think beginners, wearing Julianos + Mother's Sorrow, will gold out their armor pieces? I ask because a friend once claimed golding out armor made a 5K DPS difference for him on a 6M target skeleton. Any perspective on that? I assume only golding out weapons is important. What sort of margin, if any, do you get from golding out armor and jewelry?
The difference between purple and gold gear has already been tested in a previous video. Purple to Gold gear accounts for, at most, 1 to 1.5 percent increase in DPS (includes jewelry). Purple to Gold weapons accounts for up to 4 to 5 percent increase in DPS.
Ur friend was suffering from placebo effect. He golded his gear and started trying harder. Nothing wrong with that. But unless he had golded and transmuted relequen, it wasnt 5k extra dps lol
Hey Asian, so I am a Magplar CP 600 and I am wearing Siroria as a frontbar set, with MS body, Zaan and Mahlstrom Lightning Staff Backbar. Now my question is: P.E. My Radiant Oppresion DPS Value is 8,4k. Compared to yours it is just the half. That's the case for pretty much every skill in Combat metrics. I got almost everything set up like you have (Except Vampire and Perfected Siroria). I feel like I am missing something. I am sitting at 5887 Spell Penetration. I noticed that I only have around 33k Magicka instead of the 36k of your screenshot. Do you have an idea?
Hey men nice work. I have a question for My magsorc Wich Monster Set can I use for trashfight and what for boss when I can't stay close ATM I use grothar and illambris.. Other question what can I use for monster set and skills for vAS2 mz dps is there so low...
I tend to use Grothdarr for trash fights and for single-target fights where I can't use Zaan or Grothdarr, I usually just stick with two 1-piece crit sets, like Iceheart and Zaan. For vAS + 2, you'll want to use two 1-piece crit sets if you're trying to maximize DPS. If you want to add some survivability, then run Iceheart. Skills should be no different than your typical build. Maximizing DPS in vAS + 2 is about quickly stacking the side-bosses and ensuring people don't die. Hard focus the side-bosses as needed, but you should be cleaving them down. A lot of vAS + 2 progression is having the OT stack the side-bosses quickly and efficiently. The other part is making sure DPS don't die to mechanics.
Great vid, my rotation isnt great. But I only really do dungeons. Anyway, quick question if you dont mind. I noticed your spell pen was at 5791 or something for all your parses, im cp 490 odd, I think my 300 cp is in the right place but I only have 1k pen in cp (non on gear) should I get that up to 5k ish? Is there a point where pen is too high for 4 man content? Is spell pen more useful than phys pen on their respective builds? Sorry, more like 12 question. Thanks in advance.
The resistance on bosses outside of maelstrom is always 18200. On trial dummies instead of having the actual debuffs to resistance they reduced the base resistance, which throws off how much penetration is shown in combat metrics. IIRC the resistance on those is 6968. I don't know much about stam but mag gets spell pen through light armor and I don't think medium armor gives any which would make other sources of pen more useful on phys than mag. The "Constellations" addon can import a combat metrics parse and suggest cp, but don't forget to adjust penetration/enemy resistance.
@@SuperBobKing sorry probably should have mentioned im on console, so I cant get help from add ons. So for stam builds, roughly how much pen should I aim for before it becomes wasted? A roundabout number is fine. Also I rarely do trials so its mainly for dungeons. Currently at 1k through cp.

@@itsmrdeath1812 Major and minor debuffs and infused 2h crusher without torug add up to 8708 penetration, so more than 9492 penetration through other sources would be useless. Yeah, I don't understand that either. I mean, where does that 4.5k spell damage comes from? While having such high crits aswell? And huge magicka... I have full purple gear (not ideal, but those stats don't seem to be so much different) close to 200cp and my dps is actually around 20k...and I it's not entirely about rotation, as my tool tips damage is also nowhere near 😂 so much to learn still...
@ These insane numbers you see (70k+) are on trial dummies. The golden standard for trial guilds, however, is the 6m dummy, on which you have access only to self-buffing (some guilds allow friendly NBs to provide the major pen buff for stam characters). For that type of parsing, a more reasonable top-notch result would be around 45k, which is still very high but much easier to grasp. All you have to do is get gold trial gear, attain max CP and optimise your rotation and race around your class, and with a shit ton of practice you'll be able to reach at least 40k or so. A few hundred hours ago in the game I couldn't even grasp the concept of getting 20k, now I'm merely a bit over 30k but at least I understand what I need to do to become better. It takes a lot of time to learn; ESO is by no means an easy game and PvE DPS is just one of the multiple aspects of this game.
An Argonian will always be behind Bretons, Dunmer, and Altmer just based on the fact that they lack the offensive stats those other races possess. That being said, the dps loss will be no more than 5k behind Altmer at most, and even less behind Breton. So, unless you care about getting the highest dps possible, you can still achieve 70k+ on the Iron Atro no problem.
You'll always be short as an Argonian because you won't have the additional magicka or spell damage. You'll still be able to pull high DPS; the difference those passives make is only going to be ~5 percent difference at most.
@@LuNeCxX doesnt matter. Khajit out performs argo's as magicka characters as well. 1000 mag is like 100 spell damage. Now elfs get 2000 mag and 258 spell damage. Lol argos are almost completely useless, but fun. I still think they should be STAMINA characters, and have disease AND poison resistance. They arent OP in any way so they need some extra sauce
So with 300cp and "beginner gear" you lost about 20k dps. How much would you expect to lose if you were in completely purple gear (weapons, rings, armor)?
New player here: seems like everyone is grinding out the same gear thus the making the toon. Seems broken. Preparing myself to play ESO, I watched over 100 video and all hail the same gear. Aren't there dozens of different gear sets that could be used and still be effective?
Define "effective". Yes, there are many other sets that can pull enough DPS to clear content. But it's going to be harder to do so, so why waste that energy to be "unique"? Remember that this is group content. You need to be cognizant of the impact you'd be making to the group. If you make things much harder for the group because you want to be "unique", then you should rethink what it is you're doing, because you are actively hurting the group.
I'd love to know what's good DPS with beginner gear and CP 160. I'm a MagDK at CP 171 | 5 Julianos | 5 Elf Bane | 2 Maidens As a Vampire with B4B I'm around 44 to 46K, kind of disappointing
On a trials dummy? Thats not TERRIBLE but its not ideal. A bit of practice and uptime as TAG preaches is all u can strive for. B4B is next to done so bye bye. 20k dps on the 3mil at 160cp is GOOD! Its not the best but its definitely good!
Ping not that much. I do even better on pts with 200 ping than on live with 100. I'd say that fps matter more. It throws off timing and global cooldown is going faster than skill animation ends. We have some Australians in our progression groups and they do very high parses, just due to ping difference they sometimes are slow on avoiding the red zones.
Show me an Aussie with the highest possible parse and i’ll Believe ping doesn’t effect dps. No reason all the highest parses should be from places close to servers..
Looking at the dummy parse, I see a lot of buffs that don't look like they are all from your rotation/gear. Also you are running a monster set, I can tell you it takes us filthy casuals much longer to get a monster set, much less a decent one than you are assuming. Another comment is gear, while you have talked about the ease of money to get yellow gear, you are not talking about transmute crystals or repeat runs for better traits. It is not easy to get a casual group, even a dedicated group, to run multiple dungeons and usually only on the weekends. I would really like to see your dps minus those extra buffs, non perfect trait gear and no monster sets. I am curious what kind of dps you can pull in the cp 160, 600, and top range, given those alterations. Us filthy casuals get very frustrated when we can hit 15k dps on the test dummy, but hit a dungeon and see it drop to 10k and basically frustrate the whole group slogging through a dlc normal or CoA2. Also I really need a rotation for those of us with arthritis. I am perfectly fine weapons swapping to reapply buffs and dots, but ouch with the 3 second cooldown on a stalking blastbones and then another spell. It is murder on the hands in longer tense boss fights.
Its a trials dummy. Have u used one? You get basically unlimited buffs and synergies so dps is close to doubled. Meaning on average targets in vet dungeons he is hitting for 30-40k dps on these tests. If ur less then 400 cp and hitting 25k and on console, ur in a good spot and just need a bit of practice.
With bad rotation you are doing more dps than I do tryharding. You spent so much time, but You didnt explain at all, why You have "as bad player in bad setup" twice as mich DPS than average usual "bad player" like me So, why you attaks do so much damage?! burning ticks about 5k, eruption 4k, orbs almost 3k. Where is all thise buffs, that gives you so much? And hou did you get 2k magregen?! I tried to recriate this "bad classic build" en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=83684 and as i can see, even if we add some % to average damage from crits and even we just ignore penetration/targert armor ratio, abilities still cannot hit as hard as yours.
Make sure you're using the trial dummy. A carbon copy of my builds will have the same max hits. But your DPS will be different depending on how well you are executing your rotation.
Siroria not that valuable at hard trials. Like ofc vSS is good with it cuz you basically stay on one spot. But vCR, vMoL.. False God is way superior. Siroria good for that dummy parse, but not for real combat.
It's quite easy to use Siroria. I've used it in vCR + 3 and vAS + 2 with good success, and some of my highest raid parses are with Siroria, not FGD. There is a steep learning curve, but mastering it is worth the DPS increase.

I have already tested blue gear versus gold gear, and it's only about a 4 to 5 percent difference at most. Wrong traits actually doesn't add too much in the way of DPS loss. It'll be only around a 3 percent loss with no divines with the Shadow.
Honestly I have no clue how to increase my dps. My rotation "seems" to be alright, la weaving aswell etc. My gear is just purple and doesnt have divine traits so far. I can't imagine that golden gear with perfect traits makes such a difference but so far everything seems to tell me it must be the gear.
I'm 520 CP, using Zaan, FGD, MS all purple and have a dps of 18k if i'm lucky. (Without any potions and almost no divine traits)
@@HyeonsikLi I've had most success with trying to keep it simple, cheap and spammable. A few skills, maybe just one bar and dip to second bar just for one or two skills. Use some form of stat farming ultimate on main bar and the killer ultimate on 2nd bar. But I get nowhere near the dps of t3h. He's in a different league.

But medusa will be a game changer
great video
Do you think the values would be similar for stamina dps even though they use sets that add raw damage or dots like relequin.
@@t3hasiangod that makes sense. Keep up the good work.

It doesn't matter what I do, but I can't pull much more than 60-62k DPS. I have aroung 0,76 LA/s. My parse shows that around 23 % of my DPS are LA and around 14 % is Radiant Oppression.
The other part is making sure DPS don't die to mechanics.
for vas hm i can recommend slimecraw from wayrest 1, or valkyn skoria from city of ashes 2.
ice heart is good for survivability.
@@t3hasiangod thx men u helped me a lot. I enjoy it
@@LuNeCxX never ever use slimecraw. Domihaus will always out perform slime in trash mob, BRP, maelstrom, DSA situations
@@SuperBobKing so lets say group can apply minor and major debuffs and crusher, at what point roughly would my physical pen become useless? Should I aim for 2k? 3k? Way more way less?
Also, ty for replying.
@@itsmrdeath1812 Major and minor debuffs and infused 2h crusher without torug add up to 8708 penetration, so more than 9492 penetration through other sources would be useless. Alkosh removes up to another 3010 resistance, I don't know if gear quality affects it. You may reach a point where you would get more DPS from putting your CP in other things (especially if you aren't max) before you get that much, but I don't know. I'm not even sure if you can get that much through CP.
@@SuperBobKing ah ok so i'd be safe as houses if I had 3k through cp. Yeah I didnt want to waste too much cp on pen but I figured I could probably afford more than just the 1k I had already. Thank you.
With beginner gear, 300 CP, and a bad rotation does over 50k dps. Me with purple mothers sorrow and julianos 300 cp does 16k. Been trying to figure out how people are pulling such high dps. Thanks for the video it was exactly what I was looking for. Were these parses with or without consumables?
You should be doing parses with Spell Power Potions and food buffs.
@@t3hasiangod thanks for the reply. I've been taking your advice. I got up to 20k dos without pots. Still working on it
Yeah, I don't understand that either.
The asian said his math equation wrong. Done with life. @3:35
What do you mean you have the maximum stats when you hit cp300?
ty help alot :-)
How much does your race play in dps? Can an Argonian still come close to a Breton/Altmer mag dps wise with the right gear/rotation?
An Argonian will always be behind Bretons, Dunmer, and Altmer just based on the fact that they lack the offensive stats those other races possess. That being said, the dps loss will be no more than 5k behind Altmer at most, and even less behind Breton. So, unless you care about getting the highest dps possible, you can still achieve 70k+ on the Iron Atro no problem.
You'll always be short as an Argonian because you won't have the additional magicka or spell damage. You'll still be able to pull high DPS; the difference those passives make is only going to be ~5 percent difference at most.
@@t3hasiangod as a argonian i believe you get 1k max magica due to racial passives.
Maybe 5%
Not much at all
Weapons gold is key. Gold gear is just a flex and needed for Vtrials
Does Worm's Raiment come from Iron Atro?
Yes
@@t3hasiangod for example scavenging demise and tsogvins on a stam DK unique and usefull :)

As a Vampire with B4B I'm around 44 to 46K, kind of disappointing
On a trials dummy? Thats not TERRIBLE but its not ideal. A bit of practice and uptime as TAG preaches is all u can strive for. B4B is next to done so bye bye. 20k dps on the 3mil at 160cp is GOOD! Its not the best but its definitely good!
You are forgetting the biggest impact on dps, ping. The average armican ping vs a good Australian ping is a difference of about 20k last patch
20% from west aus. Willing to bet there is a direct correlation to distance from server and lower dps.
18k light attack damage?!
With bad rotation you are doing more dps than I do tryharding. You spent so much time, but You didnt explain at all, why You have "as bad player in bad setup" twice as mich DPS than average usual "bad player" like me
So, why you attaks do so much damage?! burning ticks about 5k, eruption 4k, orbs almost 3k.
Also, not sure if TAG is using pots through this. Adds quite a bit of deeps
Siroria not that valuable at hard trials. Like ofc vSS is good with it cuz you basically stay on one spot. But vCR, vMoL.. False God is way superior. Siroria good for that dummy parse, but not for real combat.
liko did a video on siroria vs fgd and he said if you can get to 7 stacks of siroria then siroria beats fgd
@@redskyjoker4209 If. So it depends on trial.
It's quite easy to use Siroria. I've used it in vCR + 3 and vAS + 2 with good success, and some of my highest raid parses are with Siroria, not FGD.
There is a steep learning curve, but mastering it is worth the DPS increase.
