These tires came stock on my tiger 900. I found them very sticky on dry pavement. i was able to lean them over to the edge. They did take a while to get warm, though. Never really rode them in the wet before I changed them for a more offload tire.
I am currently putting them on a drz400 supermoto project i purchased they seem ideal for this purpose to me.

I'm on my second set of A41's on my GS1250 and find they work well in all weathers. Gave me a lot of confidence when I was in downpours. Got about 15k out of the first set and that included the tour to Norway with you guys.

I'm on my second set of these A41 tires. They served me well, much convidence when cornering. To be honest the previous pair was the A40's, now riding the A41's and they are even better in corners, razor sharp cornering on these. Got 11000 Km on the previous pair.

I would love to see a follow up to this video in the new year after you have more time on them. Like most I don't off road with my bike, just the odd dirt road. My last tires on my Super Tenere were T-31's. They performed great, were extremely smooth and quiet. I found them very confident inspiring in the wet. I could really push them in the mountains during a cold rain/sleet. My friend was a long ways behind and said there was no way he could stay with me. It didn't even feel like I was pushing the limits at all. I just installed a set of A-41's as they look the part on an adventure bike. Whether I like them as much as the T-31's is yet to be seen.

Hi, are A41 performing well in the wet roads? What pressure do you setup them?

I had a set, it's a very reasonably priced tyre that performs very well (great rear, OK front).

I’ve heard these tires tend to slip on wet road markings or tar snakes… Have you experienced this at all with these tires?

I have Bridgestone A41’s that in the main have been fine but like you I had a slip cornering on a dry road, made me sit up a bit sharpish. I was cautious for a while but they’ve been ok since.

I've got these on my new bike and twice felt like the front wheel was slipping out from under me on a bend, the road was slightly damp. Overall they feel ok though.

I have 70 plate F850 GSA with Michelin Anakee 3 and been out in all weather in Wales and not had any problems with grip or noise with them so that is interesting to know

    • @billybilly7100

I also have Anakee 3s on a 650 Transalp. 9000 miles and still going. All weathers and some "dirt roads" and never a worry. From hearing about others' experiences it seems to be this tire works far better with a mid weight bike over the big boys.

Last bike (1200GS) had OE Anakee 3 Good in the dry....bloody noisy front...Current bike (1250 GS) fitted with OE Anakee 3 Adventure ,better in wet than previous ones....and not as "Bloody" noisy, favourite are still the Metzler Tourance NXT. Had tried Metzler Roadtec 1,took them off after 3 thousand miles or so

Since you now have a bike with a chain, have you thought about doing a video on chain maintenance? I would be interested since I too am thinking about downsizing from my GSA.

New AT41s better in the wet than A41s - much better front end grip - which you wouldn't expect with the blockier looking tread.

Every ride is an adventure ride now with some of the nobs that have appeared since lockdown gave us emptier roads. I've got 800 miles on my bike and there's still a whole chicken on the tyres.

Good review , tyres are a tricky subject , horses for courses , I loved the R5 for my non adventure bike but now I have a KTM 790 I am thinking Torrance next when I swap out the Avon’s. If I remember you liked the Tourane next ?

Thinking of getting my first GSA, currently ride a Tiger 800 XRT which I can flat foot on. Out of curiosity how tall are you both? On the GSA on the low seat both balls of my feet are planted but I’m just a little concerned at the size of the bike. Cheers, keep up the great work guys. 👍🏻

    • @markholroyd5365

Hiya, I’m 5-10 and only use one foot really. With the low seat setting and the suspension dropped you will be fine and confidence builds every time you ride it. I’ve had five GS Adventures but have just dropped down to F850GSA and love it! Ride safe

I had to roll my eyes a bit when you were referencing “chicken strips” on others riders tires. Maybe I’m just an over careful old fart, but my many years of riding has taught me it’s better to have 5mm of “chicken strip” on my tires than 5mm deep “gravel rash” because I over estimated the available grip 😉. (I’ll just call it my 5mm safety factor for if I get into a corner a bit too hot😱.)

    • @markholroyd5365

"Chicken strips" are meaningless anyway. On my bikes I have about 10mm of chicken strips on the rear and I can stick with 90% of riders I've ever came across on the road with relative ease. You should actually be aiming to use less lean angle and use your body position to turn tighter.

I have them on my 1250GS and much prefer them to the Panaky 3's. I've also had the Tourance Nexts on my 1st GS (which from memory are very similar to the A41s) and also Roadtech01s on my last 1200 which I thought were a bit slower steering. I couldn't wait to get rid of the 3's but am in no rush so far to change these though I have only done 1000 miles on them so far.

I agree that "reviews" and "comparisons" on the internet and elsewhere seem mostly rubbish. As they "compare" different makes of tires, they basically just list what either manufacturer says and call it a "comparison". Complete nonsense.
