I recommend that you have two tridents one with riptide and one with loyalty and stuff like that
I agree but one of them should have channeling and loyalty for the lighting effect
You only need riptide trident. Unless your looking for mob heads.
On my survival world I have 2 tridents
1st trident: short ranged (impaling, riptide, mending)
2nd trident: long ranged (loyalty, channeling, mending)
I named them different things so I could easily tell which was which
I use riptide 3 and I don’t really bother with pvp or pve with a tridents, I like to just use a bow or a sword

There's an addon on pocket edition that actually turns the trident into stormbreaker.
Fly using your Elytra in the rain and a Trident with Channeling and Loyalty Enchantment. You will be God among Mobs.

Pokey boi, it can use knock back II, sharpness V, Fire aspect II, and etc. Using sharpness can increase the damage all the way up to 12 damage, or 6 hearts

Impaling should increase damage when thrown instead of doing extra damage to guardians
for those who dont know yet, you can fight flying creature like phantom during rain weather while using elytra and trident with riptide enchantment
Also the answer to the trivia is no. Because the trident has to land on a block for it to return to you.

The impaling enchantment doesn’t only affect aquatic mobs, as it works on anything that is in contact with water, including rain.

If you throw a Trident with the Loyalty enchantment into the void inside the end, it'll return to you
It'll also return even if you throw it in Lava (even if thrown in incredible depths)
If you throw it through the End City portal, it won't return but as soon as you enter as well, it will return
It won’t return into java, I’ve seen a video about it and it doesn’t return, but I never knew it returned in Bedrock xd

The NuggetBacon it is more damage than sword, riptide allows you to fly in rain, channeling is by far the easiest way to get mob heads, loyalty is basically like infinity

They should add the Spear weapon and it will be craftable using the smithing table
It has longer range than the sword but does slightly less damage and swings a bit slower.

The drowned are thinking the same thing as the weapon originated from them
Yeah. I created a world with large oceans, gave myself infinite conduit power and live under water only. Normal drowns were so easy to kill, but fighting trident drowns was really hard. More or less only ways to fight them, before getting a trident myself, was to make them shoot other drowns or build a lot...
But I do recommend playing a world like that. It's really fun. 😁

If a baby drowned had one it’s like a three shot kill
Impaling V trident is *insanely* powerful in the rain (for some reason the rain renders every mob in it as an aquatic mob, triggering the attack bonus). It eliminates most mobs in one hit, and can still one-shot zombies with criticals. Combine it with loyalty III and mending, you have an all-purpose weapon. Take a shield for good measure!

Honestly tridents are a lot more situational then swords are. I still prefer tridents though.

The trident only comes back after it collides with something, so you'll lose it forever if you throw it into the void.
