I can't tell you how much I love plumbing especially emergency plumbing. Our house is literally over 140 years old so anything that hasn't been replaced can fail any time. And even the modern stuff fails from time to time also like yours did.
It feels good when you can get the job done yourself! Growing up at the cabin I used to hate work weekends now I’ve grown to love them feels good to get things checked off the list. And at the end of the day a good cold whiskey sour tops it off!
Wait till you get that electric bill. I had my sump pump trying g to pump water but wasn’t. Ran my bill up to $250 and the basement flooded with what we figure was 6000 gallons of water! Took 2 hrs to pump water out.
