Depends on the speed of say wear knee pads elbow pads and some form of helmet. If you want to be a little safer get a little spine pad.

This is a 50cc Virginia law requires that every moped driver operating on Virginia roadways carry a government-issued photo ID (does not have to be a driver's license). ... Operation of mopeds is prohibited on the interstate. In Virginia, you must be at least age 16 to drive a moped.

@AJ depends on your commute or where you live. I have already put a big bore kit on it, so it'll do 50 and keep up with traffic going to work. But it's easy to work on reliable( besides the battery had to buy a new one) I drive 9 miles one way too work so I get about 3 too four days on a tank but it cost me 2.63 too fill it so I'm not complaining 🤣

@@MrWolfSnack Not really man. Some states will require you to be 16 with a valid drivers license, but at 49cc’s you don’t need a motorcycle endorsement. When they’re under 50cc’s they’re typically not classed as motorcycles.

Mopeds have pedals. Mo=motor ped=pedal. This is a scooter.
Nope. It's a small motorcycle with the same cvt transmission set up as a scooter. A scooter is a step through design with footboards & front apron to keep weather off the legs.

A moped is still classified as a bicycle. A scooter is classified as a motorcycle, and can go well over 70 mph depending on the size of the engine.
