112 would be a logical nightmare of routing and forgotten mask shards but the idea of true ending white palace speedrunning while building up offensive power passively would be amazing

When you do project management for big projects you often have to make a gantt chart (basically a graphical way to show task dependancies) you can add more and more workers but you will always have a "critical path" of tasks that rely on each other to get done eg A relies on B and C, B anc C both rely on D, D relies on E so your path might be E -> D -> (B or C) -> A, since B and C can be overlapped but A requires both so the minimum time depends on which of the two is longer (sorry if this is confusing, it's a bit hard to explain with just text) It would be interesting to see how far you can push it though since theoretically you're mostly limited by skill checks and boss checks but the actual boss fights and travel time between can be overlapped if you have enough people to get around...
@@Imperial_Squid Well I'd say in theory three primary runners who's goals are to do the main route as fast as possible up to Claw, then split to go for the three Watchers. Additional runners with the goals of grinding for Lumafly Lantern, extra combat abilities, a soul vessel, enough notches for an extra charm and maybe Dream Gate, some of these goals could likely be combined. Finally someone to just wait at HK

So long as you don't mind having a lot of people get to a place and wait for a check to be done by someone else I think the fastest route is going to have an insanely high number of people doing it... Unfortunately, I don't think this number is knowable without an insane amount of testing and training tbh since the fastest route is going to change every time you add a new person until you hit that ceiling...
I dont comment much but I genuinely get really hyped when I see a new co-op Hollow Knight video posted by you. I sometimes make it to streams but not often due to timezones. But i really enjoy nice this little community is and i enjoy the diversity of ideas you have for the game. Ill surely be tuning in time and time again 😊
Ever consider doing a hit-list type speedrun? Such as, fastest time to kill certain bosses? Gives you a reason to traverse more of the game if you have to kill targets like Hive Knight and Nosk.
Not sure about ones for specific bosses, but there is one called Pantheon Boss Order%, where you have to defeat the Hollow Knight bosses in the order they appear in Godhome: for example, you can't kill False Knight until you defeat Vengefly King first, and you have to somehow get to Massive Moss Charger without cloak so you can defeat it before Hornet 1, etc. Oh, and yes, the last two bosses are Hollow Knight and Radiance, instead of PV and Absarad.
I have a route suggestion that could maybe reduce the time wasted waiting for progression from other runners. The most crucial part seems to be the dive/c-dash/monomon progression chain. Regarding that, rather than the person that got dive to then go to peaks for c-dash, it probably would be better if the person who got dream-nail, rather than doing lurien, just openned king’s, stagged to crossroads and went to the peaks dive entrance. That way you can enter peaks right after getting dive, shaving from c-dash the time needed to exit sanctum. Then, paralel to c-dash/monomon, the runner who got dive would stag to king’s and do lurien.
this is so cool, while its unlikely id love to see the conceptual peak performance, like having people who are waiting hitting soul totems for the others at opportune moment to allow spell spamming. i also imagine that the first upgrade for nail could be grabbed in the down time of waiting for the third dreamer. but either way this is really cool and id love to see more of this, be it pushing this route to its peak, doing it with different/more people or just different categories
This was so cool! I wonder if potentially Strawbrary could pick up shade soul or howling wraiths while waiting for Fire and Ledy? I think Nail1 would be a bad idea since THK scales and would just gain health iirc. But the routing options are endless!
I did an speedrun on hollow knight and i was able to get a time of 2 hours and 28 minutes without any glitches and also with 25% Edit:ok i didn't actually expect to get this many likes lol but thank you

This is awesome. If they ever add that category to speedruns I would love to see the different optimisations. For you 3's runs though the only thing I can think of is strawbrary going to camp soul statues to refill you and Leydybug's soul meters when you are running low for e.g during the Uumuu fight.
I've always enjoyed the multiplayer videos, but this is what I've wanted to see since I saw the very first HKMP video from you. This kind of speedrun is so cool and so different from anything else
I was just binging through the PVP playlist and thinking it would end after the pantheon co-op, and then this video started playing... talk about perfect timing!
I love challenges like these. It doesn't make the game too much easier, doesn't make it too much harder, it's good for just hangin out with friends or fellow streamers.
The best part about this is how nice the platforming and movement look, There’s nothing unnecessary and the amount of satisfaction I gain from just seeing how nice everything looks is more than enough.
I have an idea you may want to consider, a cooperative any% speedrun with two others... sharing items, boss kills, and dreamer kills... but only one person can do each thing. Person 1 could be able to fight bosses, person A can use the dream nail, and person Alpha can pickup items. The other functions are unable to be done by the others but they can still hit each other, just to add some complication. So the guy who has item pickup and the guy who has boss kill have to stay together for the hornet fight, or no one can dash. AND EVERYONE HAS TO BE IN THE HOLLOW KNIGHT CHAMBER TO WIN!
The routing absolutely has so much room for improvement seeing how y'all ended up waiting for long portions of time. The others not remembering to D-Dark also contributes to the final boss being so difficult for them and taking so long
Now I'm imagining a replay/ghost mode that emulates your previous runs along side you while you do them like Super Meat Boy. This was super cool and I need more! Love it!

Routing idea: What if the person doing shade skip grabs sly, the person doing peaks grabs shopkeeper’s key, the person doing Monomon grabs elegant key, and the 3rd person uses the storeroom stag to grab Shade soul? I think the time loss would be pretty minimal, and then you would have shade soul for Monomon and THK.
honestly makes me wonder about a true hollow knight soul link when one gets geo, all get geo shared hp - one dies, all die, one heals, all heal shared soul shared items could lead to some really cool strats and potential for your teammates to heal you... but being careless means you can get someone else killed during a boss

I honestly really liked current patch THK when I tried an Any% run! It really felt like learning Pure Vessel all over again! (and that's my favorite boss)

You could try something similar to what Smallant1 did in Super Mario Odyssey. Everybody shares a bingo board and 3 casuals compete against 1 speedrunner to complete lines. I thought 3 casuals working together trying to complete a speedrun before 1 speedrunner can complete 2 speedruns could be a fun idea but watcher nights would take ages for casuals (me included) Anyway love your videos
