Thank you Brandon! I enjoy all your videos. I watch videos and fishing shows on tv to learn. Yes, I like watching people catch fish but always trying to glean anything that will improve my knowledge, and I've been fishing for 65 years. Please mention things like water temp, water clarity, etc. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us viewers!
I try to use my 16’ jig pole in areas 16’ or less of water. Make my line 16’ long and just set the hook and flip them right into the boat. Keeping the rod tip close to the water or even in the water sometimes. If I have to come up I will just use my left hand to pull the line. The least amount of reeling possible is key. If I have to go deeper than 16’ I generally don’t spook them so I get closer and drop down with a shorter pole.
GREAT VIDEO. NJOY WATCHIN YOU, YOU EXPLAIN THE PROS AND CONS. AND ALSO YOU DON'T MIND SHARING WHERE TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES. THERE'S SOME GUUD VIDEOS OUT, BUT I DON'T WANNA JUST WATCH SOMEONE CATCHIN FISH AND NOT NOT SHARE KNOWLEDGE. KEEP MAKING AWSOME VIDEOS 👍🏾
Man I gotta get out there. It’s supposed to warm up some next week here in Eastern North Carolina. Think I’m gonna go Wednesday and Thursday. Great video brother.
Brandon I fish clear water in central Arkansas. I hold my own casting, slip corking, and even with the long pole fishing a school of crappie. My problem is catching the singles in clear water while long poleing. Are you having any luck mastering this technique?
You can tell by the size of the fish on the screen. It takes several hours of looking at them and a trained eye, but you’ll get the hang of it. Thanks for watching!
I enjoy your videos a lot of good tips on crappie fishing. Please comment after two months of using blitz lure live foot . Am looking to buy and appreciate your honesty on all the equipment you use .
Man I started with a 10ft pole on the long rod poles it felt a mile long at first lol now using 13 to 16 foot poles the 10 seems short 😆 I like a 11 footer best all around try the b&m tree thumper nice fish man👍
Fun times with the long pole ! The more you use it you will get used to it and you will be able to just swing em right into your hand Will those fish not eat a jig ?
Hey Brandon in the beginning of this Video you talk about when the water gets down how these crappie like to hang out in standing timber... Where are they when the water is up??? @ 0:50
Mostly in offshore brush piles during the summer and early fall. When the lake level gets low in the winter they tend to use the timber more than any other time of year. Thanks for watching!
I’ve got ActiveTarget and I find if I’m on the trolling motor pretty fast, 3+ mph, my return isn’t all that good. Do you change settings when using it on the go? I think them diehard crappie guys use long handled nets. I’m a bass guy, but like to mess with crappie too. Your videos never disappoint!
No I haven’t noticed that with mine. I seem to get the same returns at 3mph as I do sitting still with Active Target. One thing to keep in mind is if your going that fast your cone of the transducer is constantly moving so it may seem harder to stay locked on an object or fish. Thanks for watching!
I don’t usually tell what lake I’m fishing for obvious reasons. The tips and techniques I show will work all over the country though. Hope you can understand where I’m coming from.
Thank you for all of the information you share. Your videos are very educational and informative for me and my husband.

Makes sense for sure. Thanks for watching!
I’m going to use that bobber stop idea to peg that weight. Slabs on standing timber got to love it. Thank ye sir 👍🏻
It works great! Thanks for watching!
I just got a blue Diamond 14 ft pole. We fished a new lake with it, it’s my new favorite long pole now. Love your videos keep them coming.
Thanks for watching!
Man yeah! Nice! I love that spot there...we used to see a lot of deer walking the banks of the lake at that spot
Didn’t see any deer but I could hear turkeys yelping in the distance. Pretty cool thanks for watching!
Brandon , I love your videos keep ‘em coming . I have me a live foot on the way . Can’t wait for it to get here.
You’ll like it. I couldn’t live without it now that I’ve gotten use to it. Thanks for watching!

Thanks! Good luck to ya
Love the show
Thanks!
My only question is, where do you folks live where the wind never blows?
It blows here, we just have hills and hollers where you can get out of it. Thanks for watching!

How can you tell the difference between a school of bluegill. or crappie with forward view? Glad to see ya back at it! Congrats on a good year!

I love it. I have nothing but good things to say about it. A little on the expensive side but very high quality. Thanks for watching!

I can see where 11-12ft would be a good size. 14-16 gets a little hard to handle. At least to me. Thanks for watching!

Will those fish not eat a jig ?
They might have. Just wanted to use minnows on this particular day. Thanks for watching!

Come on over to reelfoot in west Tennessee
I’ve been by it many times but never fished it. Thanks for watching!
What lake are you fishing?
It’s a mystery. Thanks for watching!
Oh come on dude
I don’t usually tell what lake I’m fishing for obvious reasons. The tips and techniques I show will work all over the country though. Hope you can understand where I’m coming from.
I understand. Im about an hour from you. My lake has a poor crappie population, so its difficult to catch more than a few at a time let alone a limit.
Hey bossman, great video. So what part of Lake Hartwell is this?
Is that a regular bait casting reel or is that specifically for light tackle
Just a regular baitcaster. Any reel will work because your not using the reel much anyway. Thanks for watching!
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Thanks for watching!
How does that 16 footer feel???
Pretty cool to fight a fish on it. I definitely recommend trying it if u never have. Thanks for watching!
Go VOLS!
Go Vols! Thanks for watching!
I didn't get much practice with my long pole, I sat it down with a minnow and a crappy took it😐
Man that stinks! Thanks for watching
How long is your leader?
Roughly 10ft or so. Thanks for watching!
@@BrandonLesterFishing I watch all of your videos. Keep up the good work.👍
