My apologies for the GoPro 10 debacle. I hope all of you celebrating Christmas have an awesome one! Thanks for your continual support.
Man I’ve had hell with GoPros hence why I switched to a blogging set up love my cannon
@@DeterminedVeteran This was the first time I had an issue, but that wasn't fun.
@@GearHead704 well at least you did break your SD card lol
@@DeterminedVeteran Hahha, ah the memories! 😅
Adam is my hero. I hope my local engine shops build like he does.
He's the man.
Glad to see you managed to save your footage man!
Yeah this was going to be hard to reshoot lol
That’s awesome you were able to take part in assembling your motor. Nice combination… gonna be lots of fun 👍🏻
Yeah it was, and I think so too! Thanks Mike.
Awesome , can’t wait sit to hear it
Thanks me too.
Thanks for your determination!
Thanks, gotta see it finished.
That's so Awesome Matt!! I'm so glad you got the 190 11r heads. That engine is gonna scream. Very nice build Sir.
Thanks I'm really excited about it.
Thumbs Up and Merry Christmas to you and your fans.
Thanks and Merry Christmas to you!
@@GearHead704
You are welcome also.
Excellent job y'all. Straight motivating! 🔥 💯 🎉
I love it a new Foxbody engine !! Can't wait to hear her come to life .. Great job Matt ..
Thanks James, we getting there.
This is pretty cool 😎
Yeah I'm excited, thanks Jim.
Matt!!! It was like watching cable tv in the 80’s during a storm!! Lol Glad to see some progress!!
🤣 You are so right! That really made me laugh. Thanks for watching Mike.
He'll yeah Matt thanks for your content God bless
Glad you like it and thanks!
THIS is actually an amazing video. Exact reason why you are the best Foxbody guy.
You are too kind, thank you so much!
That’s really cool that you got to be involved in assembling the engine..now hurry up with that car can’t wait to see it finished🍻
Yes, it is and I know I need to get moving lol
For me it's nice to look at little flawed fox bodies but I much more enjoy seeing bolts getting wrenched. It's just what turns my crank I guess. Waiting on part 2.
😁. you crack me up sir! Part two dropping later today.
Excited for you, Matt! Can't wait to see the next video on this one!
Thanks Tom and it drops today!
Nice education you're getting there Matt, even if you didn't do it all, being familiar with the process and more importantly, having a hand in on the build, is invaluable.
Great video, can't wait to hear it start. Have a Merry Christmas 👍
Had a great Christmas and hope you did too buddy! Yeah it was fun to learn, play a part, and document it.
Finally, someone that puts the cam in before the crank.
It was cool to see Adam do that.
Awesome video MATT. Glad to see your engine coming together and you actually helping put it together. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible night. Much love and RESPECT. Merry Christmas to you and your family
Thanks Tim and I hope you had a great Christmas
Congrats Matt great to see the engine going together and you being able to get your hands in on it putting a motor together is not that hard just have to take your time and keep everything clean
You're right, Fingers crossed! Thanks.
Great build coverage Matt and glad to see you moving forward on your project. Looking forward to see more. Happy Holidays to you, Tiff, and the kids!
Hey buddy! Hope you enjoyed your holidays so far and the ones still to come.
I so pumped for you Matt and the new engine. I'm glad the video is short. I'm supposed to packing for my flight , of course I have to watch the video first. So I told my wife I will be ready 13 minutes later then I expected too
LOL, Daryl I hope you didn't miss your flight, but thanks so much for making my video a priority LOL
@@GearHead704 👍🇺🇸
Merry Christmas to all at Gearhead704. Still enjoying your how to videos.
Had a great one Robert. I hope you did too. Thanks man.
No problem there man!!! Didn’t notice much!! All good!!
Nemesis on the way!
Appreciate it Sean and yeah it's getting there!
I love your shirt at the opening, that's a classic relic now 😉
LOL, Indeed it is!
Matt its great to see you having your hands in your engine build from the block up it's going to be a great feeling once you fire it up and it should sound pretty choppy with that cam in there and make good power. you've got a pretty nice setup there, can't wait to see what intake you go with! Happy Holidays &
Merry Christmas to you and the family hope you have a great x-mas 🎄 ☃️
Thank you, had an awesome Christmas and hope you did too! Yeah man I can not WAIT for that first fire
I must be getting old because looking at that motor is just as satisfying as finding a playboy back when I was 10 years old that I promptly hid in the woods near my house
🤣. It is very satisfying to see
Good thing Adam knows stuff inside and out or it could be intimating having Matt the "Fox Doc" critiquing your engine building skills and techniques while looking over your shoulder! I'd be a nervous wreck!!! LOL
Hah hah, yeah I was a bit of a nervous wreck lol
That’s going to be a bad motor. Like the tag along on the build. Keep it up brother🔥
Thanks buddy, it should do good for a SBF NA build
@@GearHead704 💪🏼💪🏼
Good looking motor Matt, really good to have your hands on the motor assembly, no problems on the GoPro,
hope you and your family has a great Christmas!!
We had a great one Paul and I hope you did too! Yes, very cool for me to get to experience that.
It’s really coming together !
We getting there!
Seeing the next video already, 210 cylinder pressure, would indicate pretty high dynamic compression ratio. 93 octane may not be sufficient. Curious what Adam would say. Very nice build
Interesting,. I guess if I ever get it in the car and up on the dyno we'll find out if I've got high enough octane or not to be safe. Thanks for bringing this point up.
Very cool vid and that man is very detailed and definitely a guy that can build an engine.
Thanks and I really think so.
My iPhone 12 pro max is starting to do the same thing. Will probably upgrade to mirrorless soon. That motor is going to scream. Can't beat the sound of a cammed sbf.
Oh man, I hope you are able to get that worked out, as I know how frustrating it can be. 100% agreed on the sound buddy
I hope you n your family have a great Christmas as well champ keep grinding
Thanks, you too!
Nemesis is going to be sick man!
Yeah I'm really excited about it.
that 349 combo should be well matched components and run hard!
Yes I think so !
I actually forgot, bout the engine build. It’s been awhile.
LOL, yes it has hah hah. Thanks for watching Kevin.
Nice video! Same heads I have on my green and orange mustangs!
Yeah I remember you saying you liked them Frank.
Im here like always champ 👊🏾
and here early! thanks Jay C
Most strokers I’ve heard about were 347. You have said 349 in this video and one of the showcase videos. What’s different?
Merry Christmas Matt!
Thanks Carl I had a great one and hope you did too! This one had to be bored 40 over instead of 30 adding 2 more cubic inches.
NICE those looked like some wiseco forged pistons ? 💪🔧🚗🐎🇺🇲💯👊 happy holidays Matt hope all is well 🙏🇺🇲💯
Thanks FT! I hope you had some great holidays already and more to come.
@@GearHead704 curious what pistons those were I think your memory card issue might me the speed of the card for gopro 10 they say 30mb or higher, I try to alway use Scan Disk but you prob know this already 🤣👍 Sometimes certain cards just start acting weird is just time to throw them away 💪🇺🇲💯
@@fordtechlife Oh those were DSS Pistons I believe. Yeah I used a SAN disk but IDK what happened
Hey thanks for sharing this vid! What kinda block paint did you use?
Sure, I forgot to ask Adam what he used, he painted it before I got there.
Glad to see your engine coming
together. Are you still building the coupe for auto cross?
Thanks and yes I am.
What did you do the get the thrust from .003 to .005? I have .003 end play in my 347 stroker.
I believe I responded over e-mail, sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Any idea how much this combo will make (depending on intake)?
I'm really not sure, but will have it dyno tuned once it's in the car.
What stroker kit is this ?
I think we talk about that in the next video, I forgot the brand name
347s are Ok as long as you dont go above 7.500 as i broke 2 of them in half at those Rpm thats when i went 351w boared out to 427 and they dont break in half they just Give Mega Power and worth it Majorly
I think I'll only be revving to about 6,000
From one Ford man to you Only the Best wished to you and yours this Holidays commin up Soon as im 55 and still play like im 25 and Enjoy clean up on those Coyote Fords with my 427 at the track as Often as I can in a 94 Mustang GT
Ok so I’ve been watching for a bit, since I got the urge for a foxbody. Finally got a barn find and wouldn’t you know, it’s an 84 gt just under 118k 5 spd. black on black with a sunroof and premium sound. The dashboard is in beautiful shape. Been parked since 99 I heard. I’m having to hold the key after it cranks to life just in between the crank and normal running position. Tried a brand new key cylinder, it didn’t help. Any ideas?
Sorry haven't run into that one before, but congrats on the 84!
@@GearHead704 thanks, its been a long time looking and hundreds of miles searching to find one not all clapped out. It’s now running without holding the key being held but there’s a dead spot so I have to click the key back a hair. I seen your video on the zip tie fix but my harness is tight. Is it possible the little spring is worn? Not sure what the parts called but it is lower on the steering column.
What was the total cost of the short block?
I bought the heads and cam separately, but I think all the new internals plus the machining work would run about $3,800
How much does it cost to rebuild your motor
I bought the heads and cam on my on. I think everything else would run like $3,800
Not a real stable work surface for assembling an engine.
I thought so too at first, but turns out its way more stable than it looks and Adam says he uses it all the time and its solid, so that's good enough for me.
